  3. If they cut the endurance cost of flamethrower (massivlely disproportionate for its damage) and/or front loaded the damage, that would solve a chunk of the problem.
And probably cut the endurance cost of M30. That thing costs and awful lot for what it does.

I do agree with this, but-
At leas it DOES have a tonne load of HVAS and turrets guarding it Anything nearby tends to get exlpoded fairly fast.
  5. I don't think the OPs suggestion is by any means bad. I don't pretend to be a numbers guru, so I won't even go there. But I do agree that the locked in choices are, in both the APPs and EPPs/PPPs, somewhat annoying. The travel powers I can understand at least. But, for example, weapons mastery on scrappers forces you to pick a number of semi-par powers before you get to thingsl ike Shuriken, which is what I am actually after.
Tbh, I feel that EPP/PPPs should either unlock earlier or have only a two tier system, to allow people to actaully pick the powers they actaully want out of them. After all, wasn't that the reason why the Devs added more to certain pools, to make sure people actually wanted to at least investigate them, if not pick from them?

Did you know it's still actual law that English people practice with the Longbow on...think it's sunday? At least one day a week, or something like that.
I tell you what, a modern day UK Longbow division would be pretty damn effective. Bows are still pretty dag nasty weapons.

    But agreed to that, Z.

    Yes.
    And do you know why?
Because they had the damn guts to stand up for something right in this damn world.

We all too often here these reports of 'Person murdered in plain sight, neighbours looked on', and 'Person killed in alley despite cries for help' and stuff like that. All too damn often people go "Oh, I should just ring the police," or "Oh dear, someome else will srot it..."

Do you know which news story made me feel the happiest? A pair of thugs over here in blighty were robbing a TV store on sunday, in broad daylight. Typical smash and grab, with a pair of freaking sledgehammers and wearing balaclavas. And people were just walking on by, or staring for a bit before doing...nothing.
One old man, seventy something odd, walked right up to them and tore the first guys balaclava off. Despite the fact he was seventy. Despite the fact there was two of them. Despite the fact they had freaking sledgehammers.

And the pair of them bolted for it. And you know what? He didn't even do it for 'recognition' or anything. When the Police were trying to question him he simply said "I did it because it was right. Because someone had to do it. And now I have a bus to catch," which he promptly got on, like it was just a normal day.

This world has too many cowards, too many people who scream about sueing people and calling the cops. In all honest, I can partially understand the cowardice, because I dont pretend to be the bravest man alive.
But when people have the guts to stand up and fight against injustice, that is something to be applauded. Even if they fail, its the effort they made and the moral behind it that counts.

Now had the instructor himself been the one to hop in with a "watch how i handles x situation" then it would have been less troubling, but this strikes me as some macho that fortunately didnt go badly, but could have.
And y'know what? That sorta thinking is why this world doesn't have Heroes.
Because people are too damn worried about getting sued, or themselves getting hurt, or some BS like that.

Would I have run out to help if I had been a member of that class? I like to think so.
One guy on my own, yeah, I would have second thoughts. Thats a built in reaction. But if theres a chance of doing something that is inherently right, why shouldnt people act?

    Good on them, I say.
  11. I'm just making use of the /Ignore command right now. Frankly, theres nothing more that can be said that I have any interest in hearing, because it's all complete, trolling drivel.

    Longbow longbows

Oddly enough, I have SEEN Longbow members doing the /holdbowidle emote or whatever it is in Nerva. Stood with a bow and an arrow nocked.

Personally, I'd love to see Longbow with actual bows. Get a bit high tech styley. Heck, maybe with the Praetorian invasion States would have to accept that Manticores Wyvern group are more use than 'oh, thats not right, fwahfwah' etc etc...

  15. Are you seriously suggesting that the set give NO mez protection, or something?
    I seriously hope not.

Or I'm going to be doing a lot of laughing.

No. You roll an MA/SR scrapper from level 1, and play through to about level 14. You'll be sucking wind after every mob. That is guarenteed.

  18. Maybe calling it 'Powered' armour rather than Power armour would help? I dont know why, but 'Power Armour' instantly links to various, fairly well known Heroes/Villain/Groups and suchnot.

'Powered armour' simply means 'armour that is powered by something, such as electricity, minature shiny reactors, big glowing gem in the chest, cosmic sparkles, steam -

    ...
    -or anything else.

    Personally, I like it

The first one was very nice, the second two didnt fit at all, IMO (sniper rounds)

Keep em coming, Sam, these are good =]

No, I'm just implying that the Devs have never built a set that is ALL AoE powers. There is always a balance of ST/AoE powers in every set, at least in ones that affect enemies. Why? I dunno, frankly. Just pointing it out.

Oh, and in case I came off as antagonistic in the above post, I'm all for a pulse rifle set as long as it doesn't end up as an Energy Blast clone with a gun. I just meant to point out that we don't need some sort of AE-only version of the set without giving players access to it as well.
Outside of Domination, you cannot, as far as I've seen, immobilise warwolves. You sure as heck have a hard job slowing them down at all.
Those things have gunned out run speeds. They dance over caltrops like they arent there =[
  22. Theres not a single Single Target power in there, which would put Endurance costs through the roof.
    Other than that...its interesting.
  23. I....sorta like it...
But it works about as well for Stalkers as it does 'Shiny Rianbow Aura with Sparkles!' armour set.

I mean, firey and electrical armour are kinda lolwhut for stalkers as it is, but at least you can sort of hand wave (excuse the pun) it (It was magic. Yesss)
Much as I'd love to play Nightmare in game, this isnt the way to do it, sorry.

If you consider waiting around for a couple of minutes for the health and endurance bars to crawl back up to 100% fun, by all means, game on.

The rest of us disagree, however. Because I know I for one tend to wait around until either 1) Im full bars again or 2) Im dead certain I can beat the next mob without issues (Like if I have a few mezzes, etc)

It changes nothing, only QoL for those who want to use it.
