  1. Ice/Ice is easily the best solo blaster you can roll.
  2. I will strongly consider that (adding in the description), just afraid of description limits.

Only 3, but bosses WILL spawn. The Azeri are a group of minions and bosses, but the EBs ARE in the group. I have never had extra EBs spawn... but I will separate them into their own group to ensure that they don't.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Oh and the group Is designed like that intentionally.. squishy, squishy minions with pets as support units that you need to take out in order to properly fight their superiors.
  3. Sorry you had trouble with the last mission Venture, that really sucks. I've not really had an issue with it personally, not much of one.

It IS a kill all, but it should be noted that it's a pretty small map too It had to be a kill all, plot wise, as the Azeri strike team was obviously wtfpwning the Marines, they need MSR help (you). The Marines are all non-robotic malta. Think I should add the bots in there to help even the odds a bit?

There are three EBs, and 3 floors. They are set to spawn front, middle, and back. They really shouldn't spawn together. I'll mess around with the objectives and see if I can get things to spawn more reliably in there. The EBs are Elec Assault/Invuln (everything here is standard/standard), they are the enemy MSR, the best of the best, they're intended to be tough, but no, not overwhelmingly so. I may change their secondary to something like a second attack set to dial down the difficulty and make them squishier in light of this.

I will say, that map is supposed to seem like the last stand, but I've mostly gotten very positive feedback on it. I've been told it feels "epic" and even "feels like star wars!" with all the red lasers and energy swords and lightning flying around

I'm really sorry your experience wasn't better.

Not gonna quibble over MOST of the plot issues you pointed out because if something isn't explained well (even if I know the answer), then it probably SHOULD be. Things like "why don't the Azeri just destroy it?", and "Why DON'T they ram them?" I know the answers, and can tell you if you want.. problem is, I'm hitting the text limits on pretty much all my text fields, so some information was not gonna make it in. It's a bit of a side effect of stream of consciousness writing (my method), and I would normally be able to go back and fill in the plot holes, but with the text limits, it's nearly impossible. This arc is 99.79% as it is :|

One thing I will point out, is that in the last mission, you said there were several side objectives who "somehow" survived the first sortie, that being the scientists. I felt I made it pretty obvious that the Azeri are the good guys and wouldn't kill the scientists, as they are civilians (or at least unarmed). The dialogue between the Azeri and the scientists is generally geared towards the Azeri condemning their actions and wanting to rehabilitate them into responsible citizens of the galaxy

Again, sorry you had such a tough time on that last mission.
  4. Thank you for the review

I agree with basically everything you said, so you nailed it. I wanna cover a couple things. Just put out my thoughts behind them...

The Aisynia as a contact in this story and the Aisynia my main character who I roleplay are not quite the same. The contact here is more arrogant and more powerful (not that she doesn't try her hardest to be nice despite knowing she's scary powerful). She's really not the same person. I wanted the Keepers to be those big scary godlike archmages that .. scare the crap out of you. When she says she needs someone weaker than them, yeah it is insulting.. and then she immediately asks you to NOT be insulted. She explains that there are problems that being so power hungry causes, and that this is one of the more benign. It's heavily implied that all that power comes with terrible prices, and she admires you for not having taken it as far as her and the other Keepers. It's intended to say "Yeah, we're more powerful than you, but in gaining that power, we kinda screwed ourselves in some ways..."

The video is essentially the opening dialogue of the arc

I agree with the problems with map choice, I didn't have much choice... very limited... I woulda done this a lot more elegantly if I could.

As for the Hall of Echoes... I originally had a VERY small map, but my objectives just wouldn't spawn. It's still a pretty small map, but not nearly as small. I still might change it. I at LEAST put the 2 you have to actually ESCORT right at the front, so it's a short run to escort them.

There ARE indeed a lot of linked objectives and backtracking here... This arc is meant as primarily a story, an investigation, and the linked objectives.. while not ideal.. were really the only way to maintain the narrative :| I would certainly love a more elegant solution.

Not much else to say, appreciate the review, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself overall.

I think that Rularuu is the one writing these letters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I'm guessing this.

Nemesis has a huge interest in the Shadow Shard.. my guess is that he eventually makes a serious bid for power there as a lot of his plots come together and succeed.. but his ultimate grab for power actually reforms Rularuu into one aspect and all hell breaks loose. Nemesis gets his butt kicked and runs, and then Rularuu pretty much eats/annihilates everything Nemesis wanted to RULE.

Nemesis, feeling like a major idiot, plots this whole time traveling good guy routine and starts recruiting a bunch of two faced psychos..

There's a lot of things that point to Rularuu's return too. Check out Darren Wade. He has a tall, cylinder shaped head and some nasty looking hands. He says:

    [ QUOTE ]
I've seen things that would make a normal man curl up into the fetal position and rip his eyes out. I've walked on the backs of giants and drunk from the rivers of Avalon.

The simple man you see before you is only a single facet of my being.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's all pertinent, but that bolded part is pretty [censored] overt.

    Then he outright admits it:

    [ QUOTE ]
Great, you've broken into the club and got everything I need to take over the Midnight Squad... Oh, did I not mention that? Yeah, that's the real reason I was using your services.

I want to establish my own order and focus specifically on bringing Rularuu back to the here and now and pulling him out of the Shadow Shard. And since you were so helpful in getting me set up, I can see to it that Rularuu rewards you as well, if you are interested, of course. I will let you know when I am further along in my scheme if you want in on the action.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not only is he trying to bring back Rularuu.. of special note is wanting to take over the Midnight Squad... and they hold the crystal which leads to Cimerora... and the Origin of Power. Rularuu wants the Origin of Power so he can reform into a single facet... and I think Nemesis does something very dumb to actually help this along, thinking it's all going according to plan.. Unfortunately for Nemesis, Rularuu is much better at actually succeeding with his Xanatos Roulettes... and plays Nemesis like a fool.

Ouroboros. The Coming Storm. The Midnight Squad. The Origin of Power in Cimerora. All are connected, all part of a single plot. This hasn't been random.
  6. I would venture a guess, only the Arachnos of this world.
  7. Aisynia

    I15

I don't blame him, people in that thread were being whiny, ungrateful [censored].

    I woulda been pissed too.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Ghost Widow cannot change sides unless all of Arachnos does. (See "Oh Wretched Man," Seer Marino, villain level 15-20.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually she could very easily change sides if she were resurrected. Hard to say if she would. This is part of the basis for betraying her in her second arc, Arbiter Daos forces you. All signs point to her WANTING to come back to life.

*Also plugs The Wretch's Gift, Dev's Choice sequel to Oh Wretched Man*
  9. (QR)

Did you ever do The Tannhäuser Gate? I know we talked about it.

I recommend 22+ even though the enemy group technically starts at 10. It bumps you into the 44-45 area for one mission, so you may decide you want the stam and SOs. It's definitely fantasy/magic themed, though it takes place in modern Paragon.

Search keyword Emralis if you're interested, or just search for Aisynia.
  10. The Thief!

    183264

Someone has stolen some odd substance from a warehouse, and its owner needs you to recover it. Take it back, and put a stop to whatever is going on! Small, but tough mission, cute little story. Bring inspirations! [SMFA FHMA]

    1 mission, very small map.
  11. Big no. Only Arachnos weapons. Wish we had some extra ones to unlock though... maybe one day.
  12. Yeah, those are globals, or "specials" as I like to put it, procs are IOs that only have a chance to activate.
  13. You forgot to mention the Fusionette Task Force!

    Ice/Ice/Cold

I haven't found anything else I've stuck to until 50.

    Waiting on pistols
  15. I only have bane armor. Only time I really remember getting mezzed is in the last fight of the ITF and maybe an occasional lucky Malta. It isn't worth it.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
.... wait'll you meet Romulus and his Pet Nicti Recluse and his henchpeople are so many small, purring kittens compared to that Triad of Terror.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Not really.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Whenever it comes out, it wont be soon enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]
  18. Rested XP doesn't work in AE. To burn it you need to do normal missions (or die).
  19. You have issues with lots of writing or just lack of paragraph breaks? Honest question.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
I hope not. The combos are what ultimately makes me drop my DB characters, even my level 50. I don't like feeling confined.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I don't see how that is confining. You don't have to do the combos.

I think it is a great idea to a similar combo system inserted into pistols. And I hope they give them to the Corruptor as well and not just the Blaster.

    [/ QUOTE ]

you don't have to do the combos, but if you don't do them, you're effectively gimping yourself.
  21. Sorry for the delay guys, gonna work on these tonight. any requests between now and then?
  22. Ok, hehe

I only thought it was griefing cause someone 1 starred my thread and then 0 starred my arc within seconds.. and there was no feedback, no one saying anything to me, and it's kinda lame. I HAVE made people mad here before, there are people that don't like me. I assumed someone got a bug up their [censored] about me, and decided to grief me. It's happened before, I've had my threads 1-starred for no apparent reason. I could be wrong, especially given the bug I was made aware of yesterday, but oh well.

    I'm glad you enjoyed yourself

I take anything the New York Times says with a grain of salt.
