Worth stacking the Wolf and Bane armors?
Unless you're trying some tricky stuff, I understand that the Bane upgrade is sufficient to keep you going.

its totally up to you, ive heard of people doing just fine without the wolf armor for bane spiders. if you have a extra power slot id take it though for the extra protection.
crabs pretty much dont need it since crab armor +fortification gives you mag 12 protection to hold, stun, sleep and immobilize
My Bane build has Wolf armor very early, but my Huntsman build takes it in the late 40's. Neither build was hit often enough soloing that being mezzed became an issue. I can't even remember the last time I grouped in which I was hit enough that being mezzed was an issue. Usually if I took enough aggro spike damage got me well before some silly hold did. These are PvE experiences. They make fine set mules if you have the power picks and a couple slots for them.
Its worth it unless you think you can get by when fighting mezzers. Bosses will no doubt hold you if you fight more than one usually though.

I only have bane armor. Only time I really remember getting mezzed is in the last fight of the ITF and maybe an occasional lucky Malta. It isn't worth it.

there both great places for procs.
I don't think there are any procs for armor sets.
Steadfast def unique, the PvP res set unique, the Steadfast KB IO, the Aegis and Impervium psi/mez specials could be interpreted as procs. Were one y'know, inclined that way.

Procs have a different mechanic from the global IOs. The Numina's, Regen Tissue, and Miracle IO uniques act as procs. I'm aware of the IOs mentioned above, but they work differently from proc IOs, which are not in any resist IO sets.
Yeah, those are globals, or "specials" as I like to put it, procs are IOs that only have a chance to activate.

It's also a great power choice to conserve slots for other powers that need a lot of them.
I will not rest until we have in-game throwable pies!
I'm looking at the the different VEATs and it seems that the Bane/Crab/Wolf sets don't have as strong of a mez protection as the Widow sets do. Sure, with the Bane Spider armor upgrade, you can prevent getting hit with any particular mez action, but second hit could probably break through.
So is it worth it to stack the two armors to help prevent multiple mezzes, or is the benefit just too low that it's just not wroth it to take both?
