For the longest it was rumored that support staff left you on your own if you had an AE bug but in the past I had gotten help if I knocked an enemy into a wall's geometry. Last night I had a glowie stuck behind a wall and the response was that I couldn't be helped. Anyone know if this is a change in policy or did I just luck out the first few times and this has always been true?

Saturday was a small turnout so only a few arcs were run. The Instant Lair Delivery Service #206636 was a fun little concept...just who manages to get villains their lairs so quickly? Color Them Badd #41563 was obviously a holdover from I14 with enemies that were rather strong. No clue if the author is still subbed to the game to receive the feedback.
Speaking of subs, unfortunately mine runs out Sunday. No clue when I'll be back but I hope to eventually return. -
If I'm on, I'll try to show up.
-
Technically you have Zombie Man to thank since he has a guide of things that missed the patch notes. Though I did discover the Sky Raider base on my own.
-
One question, does Vengeance buff perception? If so, there is exactly one situation in PvE where one enemy could see past 150' without being one of the ones that ignore stealth outright. Nemesis Snipers that are hit with Vengeance from their dead LTs.
-
The Praetorian stuff was listed in the patch notes but unfortunately some maps weren't listed. Disappointing with what some of them are.
- Atlas Park Time Capsule (from the new Positron TF)
- Longbow Sea Base
- Siren's Call
- Siren's Call: Villain base
- Sky Raider Sharkhead Base
- Nemesis Shadow Shard Base
Longbow Sea Base is not the modified cargo ship but instead is one of the Agincourt maps. Atlas Park Time Capsule actually has the NPCs still in it while an interesting parallel is that the Sky Raider base is the version without the turrets.
And yes, long awaited and heavily requested Nemesis Shadow Shard Base is the one from the Vanguard mission. I think it's the only Shadow Shard map that made it in though. -
Quote:I did not know this. Something to keep in mind whenever I respec.Yes it does. I did some testing a while back and found that damage is reduced for lower tier pets in two ways:
1. The purple patch reduces damage since the lower tier pets are lower level
2. The lower tier pets have a lower base damage for detonator (I can't remember how much lower, sorry)
Recharge only unless you want some set bonuses. Accuracy and Damage enhancements in it do not work and instead it uses the accuracy and damage enhancements slotted in the pet. -
Congratulations to all of the winners. Was sick for a while so I didn't get to finish playing everything so I could vote myself.
-
Quite disappointing but understandable. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

They're nice little buffs to have around as catch alls for any situation. I generally use the stealth and the psi and toxic resists the mosts since I like running the Abandoned Sewer Trial.
-
Sad to see you go but best of luck wherever you land.

Power Boost is simultaneously on purpose and an accident. I added it for the slow but didn't realize it affected tohit debuffs as well. Plus, there's the stacking issue if you don't get the other LTs. I'll be removing that when I get a chance. While the darkness of the Ruladak cave is sort of intentional, I probably will add a glow to the sand mages so it's easier for someone with spike damage to get the drop on them.
The cave is an interesting case of having to work within limitations. I actually wanted to make the player cross the desert but we lack that kind of map. Opted to rework the story so that you're navigating under the desert and decided to use something different than maps already in this arc or the prequel. I see I need to more explicitly note that the "mist" is dust to help add to the setting.
Despite erring on the side of caution, I think I may be forced to bump the final boss up EB to AV. She dies too fast for her ambush to actually matter and it makes King Aurus less overpowered when fighting her.
And overall I think a little more detail probably can be added to the last two missions. Things are still pretty much in first draft mode right now so I've got a bit to look over. -
Quote:You might have two options here. The first is to state that they are exact replicas for varying purposes since Nemesis is able to make accurate robotic doubles of people. The second is to create customs. While you lack some of the things that make Mek Men and Titans unique (thin torso and massive size respectively), the new Clockwork parts, Cyborg pack, and even some of the old school parts could work. Wish I could be of more help but my account isn't current right now. I feel doubly bad since you helped me with testing some of my stuff. Still, glad to see you're getting the feedback.edit: i tried to make changes to edit the robot colors and such to make it "fit" a little better, but i cannot recolor the robots (heck the only thing i can recolor is statesman lol), so this change wont be able to happen unless they change it in the future

While still quite laggy, it seems at some point during the Halloween event patches the contact images are now right sized.

Quote:Didn't think of it that way. Forgot about the whole clickie business and was thinking of having to finish the entire farm. Bah, I'm too innocent minded. How so? I'm honestly curious why you think so. It seems to me that finishing the first mission would put farms and actual arcs on a somewhat equal footing...but it would still be easier to "dislike" a farm, due to the fact that farms are designed to be easy to complete. On the other hand, it wouldn't make it any easier to "like" a farm than it is now.

Arcs are global. No need to worry about server unless you're trying to team up with someone. Team feedback can potentially be far different than solo.

Quote:Actually, you can create entire enemy groups though it depends on your arc on whether you should or shouldn't.You can use the custom characters as:
Your arc contact
Hostages
Allies
Bosses

Quote:Quick thoughts on this. That idea has been brought forward many times but the Devs never want to even comment on it. I also think that a simple Like/Dislike system like that used on YouTube would be much better. They also originally had star ratings but it was heavily abused and became quite inaccurate as, like with AE here, no two people use the same criteria for 5-star, 4-star, and so on.
Another site that uses a similar system is places like Fallout Nexus and such, which are websites for hosting game mods. There ratings come in the form of "I Endorse This Mod" or "I Do Not Endorse This Mod". It's very simple and works very well, especially as not everyone will like everything about a mod and a 5-star system would quickly degenerate into nitpicking like it does with AE arcs.
I also believe that you should be required to at least finish the first mission of the arc before being able to rate it. That would cut down on much of the Run By Griefing. If an arc is so horrible that no one even wants to finish the first mission then the lack of ratings will cause it to sink to the bottom. Also the author of a horrible arc can't as easily have their friends just 5-star it if they have to actually play it first.
Amazon shows that star ratings can work. However, they aren't anonymous either. I worry that a wholesale like/dislike system may support farm missions more. Likewise, finishing the first mission before you rate is sorely needed yet may have some of the same problems. -
I'd like a review of Dhahabu Kingdom and the Unfathomable Nightmare of Sand #453511. It hasn't got much play so it may not be as polished as it needs to be. Plus, my account expires soon so I may not be able to reply to your review for a little while.

Quote:I'm not looking at the lists right now, but if memory serves, all 3 of you, WN, Lazarus, and Dalghryn, have arcs that would be on the What's Hot list so you'd get new slots right off the bat. I don't see the issue here, unless your true intent is to try and take something away from the current HoF authors, regardless of how they achieved it.
Um, I think you're viewing viewing the situation with the wrong lens. While some users may benefit faster than others, a more achievable goal helps the MA in the long run. While I still feel that more needs to be done to improve AE's standing within the game, it's simply not realistic at this stage of things to think that HoF's current format works. Sadly, while people may play good arcs, they won't seek them out. Part of that is the subpar search engine but we've had a sizable drought of dev promotion. If DCs aren't being handed out then the only option is the players promoting things. What better way than improving MA? -
I thought that was common knowledge. Boost Range TP is one of the main reasons why TP is considered the fastest travel power. I've heard that the biggest problem with it is the potential for vastly overshooting your mark. Plus, only one AT has Boost Range and on only one powerset.
As far as pvp, I could see Boost Range + Team Teleport being a vicious offensive move but wouldn't you still have to deal with suppression eliminating all defensive use of the move?
