Not to make all that hard work seem worthless, but you can see mob Hit rolls on your combat tab now.

I'm sorry, but "positional resistance" makes zero rational sense. "HA! I'm immune to that knife if you try to stab me with it, but if you step back at least ten feet then throw it at me, it'll hurt like hell!" -

For me, currently the ITF is the pinnacle of TFs in the same way the Faultline arcs hold the title of best zone content for story and gameplay in the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed as to both. Can you imagine how often Posi would be run if it were shortened to 4 well designed missions?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think if it got an overhaul it would get a lot more play.
However, I'd rather see work put in to the STF, LGTF and the i15TF. I work hard on my characters, and I like to play them at their prime at level 50, and have teammates at their prime, not auto exempted down to level 10 or 20 when everyone is crap.
.
[/ QUOTE ]I'd rather the work go into the Posi TF first, so new players don't join their first TF and say "What the [censored] is this [censored]? Screw TFs!" -
It doesn't have any -range. Only the ones in tanker/brute/scrapper sets have the -range. (I don't know about Dwarf form taunts for Khelds)

For the record, I've tried lighting hitting somebody else's Slick with my Taser (which used to light them just fine). It was conning as a foe and I was able to hit it, but it did not ignite. We were just outside, and no enemies were around, so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it, but I'm wondering if there is a problem with lighting it general now too?
[/ QUOTE ]The problems with Oil Slick lighting are not new (and still make Castle cry. Oil Slick is possibly the most complicated player power in the game). The new bug is that it cons friendly in MA missions (and only in MA missions).
[/ QUOTE ] Yeah I shoudl have phrased it a little different. I'm aware of the previous issues with it. I was under the impression it was mostly fixed, then broken.. fixed again.. and I was just pointing out that it was still fixed to the last of my recollection.. but beside the MA issue, appears to have been broken yet again outside of MA.
[/ QUOTE ]Castle still hasn't gotten it to light 100%. At best, we've gotten to about 90% (Not including misses, because I believe that it is possible to whiff the target. I need to watch my pet hit rolls next time I get out my Nin/TA MM to see if it is. -

To the OP: As for Flash Arrow, check your slotting for any sort of enemy-affecting proc, which would alert enemies to its use. -
DM/SR covers up one of the major problems some have with /SR very well (that being the lack of self-heal) with Siphon Life, and the -ToHit you apply with your attacks helps with the AoE hole until 35. And the AoE hole isn't quite as harsh on a stalker as it is on a scrapper (thanks to Hide's massive AoE defense bonus). DM/SR is still a classic no matter which AT you take it on of the three.
-
Honestly, take confront instead, to get the attention of the worst in the spawn. Provoke has a ToHit roll, and I've never touched that pool, honestly.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I haven't seen much stalkers with /SR. Is that because it has been nerfed, or just forgotten? Is it good for PVP?
I also hear a lot of people really like DM. I also hear it is the best stalker primary, with spines coming in second. What would you rank the best stalker primary and secondary builds?
[/ QUOTE ]/nin seems to be a far more popular defense-based secondary for stalkers, with its self-heal and bag-o-tricks. Oh, and not having a gaping hole to AoE outside of hide for 35 levels.
/sr is still cheaper to soft-cap, though. -

O SNAP!
By the way, am I the only one totally creeped out by the German dude in that video?
[/ QUOTE ]No, but the creepiness of that German guy in the "Vee-Dub" commercials was what made them hilarious. -
No.
Microtransactions in this game are for fluff, and they will always be for fluff. IO sets are not fluff. -
[ QUOTE ]
Tha Axe is good for killing ghosts, many of whom pack some To Hit debuffs in their attacks. This makes an attack with unenhancable accuracy much less appealing to use.
So the Ghost Slaying Axe isn't really all that brilliant even then, unless you've got a good reliable source of +To Hit or Def debuff handy.
[/ QUOTE ]You mean Aim, Build Up, Rage, Tactics, Focused Accuracy, Targeting Drone, Fort, Veng, Rad Emission, Earth control (which is all smashing, and another set that likes the axe instead of sands), AR (mostly lethal, another damage type that has issues with ghosts), Follow-up, Soul Drain, etc.? -

Guarantee CP will be switched out, since you can get it in APPs and PPPs. Transfusion and Increase Density need new names, too. Perhaps replace CP with a variation of Transference. -

If the Eclipse name is taken by a power, well, I can't think of anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
Eclipse is the name of the tier 9 in the Warshade secondary. It's a PBAoE drain power that adds resistance for every foe hit. Kind of like an enemy fueled Unstoppable. (something I wish they'd done with Dark Armor)
[/ QUOTE ]
I could always just be called "Penumbra" or "Penumbral Surge". The penumbra is the darkened area between a complete area of darkness and an illuminated area. The umbra is itself simply the shadow.
This discussion simply serves to heighten my wrath for the devs stealing my name for the Warshade powersets and causing so many people to start stealing my names! I curse you Cryptic Studios!
[/ QUOTE ]I like. Penumbra sounds great. -

I think the problem (or cure) is with Went. I think it may be some kind of power suppression to prevent people in Wents from spamming powers (like AOE heals). When you get enough people in there doing all kinds of things it gets really annoying.
Tho the black market is far worse at times with this. Since you have all those PSW doms that fail to turn it off.
I noticed this effect on Boost Range on my Energy/Energy blaster. After WW it would no longer auto click, even after I left the zone. However hasten worked when I made that auto instead. Never went back into WW tho, so dunno if that woulda borked it as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't have anything to do with power suppression at the markets. It's a known bug and it has something to do with zoning. i.e. when you zone, the power stops auto-firing, and doesn't start again until you enter combat next.
[/ QUOTE ]It's not zoning, it's selecting NPCs. This includes Auction House Reps, trainers, and store contacts.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not even that, because I can hit my button for "target nearest enemy" and it will trigger, even if there are no enemies to target and nothing comes up.
[/ QUOTE ]Because "target nearest enemy" also deselects any dead enemies or non-attackable NPCs. -

Also, most of my Dark Armor characters, if Soul Transfer were to be replaced, would be shelved because it no longer fits *their* concept.
[/ QUOTE ]
Read the post again. I wasn't suggesting that it be replaced. I was suggesting that the set gain another level 38 power, which can be taken INSTEAD of Soul Transfer, with Soul Transfer remaining an option.
I am not in the slightest advocating the removal of anything from Dark Armor, as it happens to be one of my favorite sets.
Here is the relevant part of my OP:
[ QUOTE ]
I also suggested that it be an either/or option with Soul Transfer to A) remove the possibility of taking both powers and using Soul Transfer to completely skirt the penalty of a target-capped crash, and B) To ensure that Soul Transfer remains available so that the people who like and use the power are not alienated by having a power they find use for completely discarded. Precedent for this approach was set by both Arachnos Widow power sets and by the powers added to many Epic power pools, which makes it impossible to have all 5 powers in the pool, because you only get 4 power selections after they become available.

That's part of the problem. They take so freaking long to get their 'core' defensive powers. Made a rad/rad, and it was soo painful trying to get the two toggle debuffs. When I was running a rad/rad defender the set was a joy to play. Corrupters to me take too long to get the fun powers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Defenders take too long to get their good blasts and when they do get them they don't make up for the wait to get them because defender base damage is so pitifully low. Not really the case with offensive support powers being secondaries on Corruptors.
[/ QUOTE ]It takes all kinds to make the world go round, Turbo. Some people find the support powers more fun, others find the blasts more fun. No one's fun is more "right" than anyone else's in this case.
[/ QUOTE ]
Apparently you missed the part where Madam admitted to not ever playing a corruptor at all then claiming defenders are better in a topic comparing damage/support capabilities between defenders and corruptors and controllers. If you haven't played one of each of those well past lvl 20 then you really don't have a leg to stand on in this topic.
[/ QUOTE ]Apparently *you* missed the part where I wasn't necessarily referring to Madam_Enigma. Having Corruptor and Defender stormies, I vastly prefer that set on defenders, because the storm powers are the real fun, and I want them early. With Empathy, outside of a dedicated duo, I prefer a controller. With Rad, I want Choking Cloud ASAP, so Defenders are more fun for me (though it does combo very well with some mez sets). With Dark, same thing. With bubbles, I'd rather have my attacks sooner. -
[ QUOTE ]
I use DA on a lot of my tanks. I think it is a great set - especially for a farm tank. (Hate having to get SJ to get good KB protection, but hey, nothings perfect.) I do not skip Soul Transfer. Why would one skip their self rez - especially one that causes damage and disorient? If anything, and the few people whom I know that have a DA build, skip Oppressive Gloom.
[/ QUOTE ]What the heck is wrong with them? OG is the *good* mez aura. CoF is the one to skip. -
If I recall correctly, when Arcana crunched the numbers on armor set's survivability, Dark Armor actually came out on top of the pack outside of Tier 9s, and was only slightly below the Tier 9s. Essentially, it gives a very high baseline performance, but without the Tier 9.
Also, most of my Dark Armor characters, if Soul Transfer were to be replaced, would be shelved because it no longer fits *their* concept. -

47.71 is nearly as much as 82.42? Really? What metric of comparison are you using there?
[/ QUOTE ]Forgot my slotting on my Ice blast character was a bit weird right now since he's halfway between builds. -

*Confuse and Fear Resistance (Tactics)
See: tight builds. I don't have room to put this atrociously END-hoggy pool on every last alt I build.
[/ QUOTE ]See: something like 3 armor sets even have those protections. (Dark and WP have fear protection, and Stone has confusion protection. Pretty sure that's all. Definitely not a "main status protection")
