Oil slick not working in AE missions

I don't know if this has been recently posted (search function isn't working for me currently) but when using oil slick in the AE missions, when targeted it is seen as a friendly ally and thus can't be attacked to ignite. Only the enemy can hit it if you're lucky enough to fight an enemy with fire or energy damage. This bug takes away most of the usefulness of the power which is the fire damage you get from it. I have sent in bug reports on my two separate toons that this has happened with, I have not noticed this happening outside of the AE area.

Has anyone else heard anything about this bug and if the Devs are aware of it and working on it, b/c it makes my controller and defender TA toons alot less enjoyable to play.

Also, I noticed in AE that flash arrow is back to aggroing the mob on the TA toon like it used to back in the day when this powerset first came out. Which is not good for my toons either...lol.

For the record, I've tried lighting hitting somebody else's Slick with my Taser (which used to light them just fine). It was conning as a foe and I was able to hit it, but it did not ignite. We were just outside, and no enemies were around, so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it, but I'm wondering if there is a problem with lighting it general now too?

[/ QUOTE ]The problems with Oil Slick lighting are not new (and still make Castle cry. Oil Slick is possibly the most complicated player power in the game). The new bug is that it cons friendly in MA missions (and only in MA missions).

To the OP: As for Flash Arrow, check your slotting for any sort of enemy-affecting proc, which would alert enemies to its use.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah I shoudl have phrased it a little different. I'm aware of the previous issues with it. I was under the impression it was mostly fixed, then broken.. fixed again.. and I was just pointing out that it was still fixed to the last of my recollection.. but beside the MA issue, appears to have been broken yet again outside of MA.

[/ QUOTE ]Castle still hasn't gotten it to light 100%. At best, we've gotten to about 90% (Not including misses, because I believe that it is possible to whiff the target. I need to watch my pet hit rolls next time I get out my Nin/TA MM to see if it is.

[/ QUOTE ] I hadn't thought of the "whiff" factor. You might just have something there. I'll pay closer attention to it as well.

It still lights "most" of the time outside of AE missions but inside it definitely spawns as a friendly ally and thus you can't hit it.

And yes, I have "whiffed" it before when you could light it and have to use my taser power and my flaming arrow power a couple of times to finally hit it. The easiest way to get it to light normally is have someone with a fire aura (blazing aura, hot feet, mud pots, etc).
