It doesn't say that it doesn't work on Vista. Sounds like you're looking at a box from before Vista was released, of COURSE Vista isn't listed on it. But plenty of people are playing just fine on Vista, myself included.
[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't list Vista on the AE box (newest release) either. Vista is not officially supported. That doesn't mean Vista doesn't work, it just means that GMs will generally tell you to post your tech issues in the tech issues part of this forum instead of working with you. (They will do some basic stuff though.) -
Buh...? Cap connects to Port Oakes via the Port Oakes<->Cap ferry.
-
Not really. Cap au is generally the busiest, since it has the University and Black Market. Broadcast is heaviest there for AE. But it's still not really a social "hub". Villainside doesn't really have one.
-
Since you said you're leaning toward villains, I'm leaving out hero comments.
If you like rogues, you might try stalkers (they get an invisibility toggle)...or a brute with Energy Aura (they get a stealth toggle). They both focus almost exclusively on beating the snot out of things (stalkers are more fragile than brutes, and require a little more finesse - brutes are just smashsmashsmash).
If you like healing shammies, you might try corruptors...alternately, for a pet-summon class with support sets, you could do a mastermind. Mastermind pets are a lot more involved than huntards, but the end result (IMO) is so much more fun.
(Please note that there are no "healers" in City. Support is much more about buffs and debuffs than the floaty green numbers.) -
No. It will always skip Lightning Rod and activate Shield Charge. When utilizing two of the same commands in a bind, it reads the first (left most) command, then sees another one so disregards the previous one, and continues until there is none left and activates the last of the multiple commands (right most). (This is why people mistakenly say that binds are read right to left.)
Unless there are other restrictions (like CJ and SJ can't be used at the same time, so activating one automatically turns the other one off...so you CAN "powexec CJ$$powexec SJ" [note: shorthand, not valid bind syntax]) -
There are European servers. However, they require a completely separate game account, and a completely separate installation of the game, as there is localization stuff that they do that we don't (for language assistance; they have a French and a German server in addition to two English servers; ours are all English).

Probably not, you will out level most of them

The Rikti Comm Officer farms were the MEOW farms. The name caught on because the majority of those farms used a cat girl contact and you had to save a bunch of cat girls as one of the mission objectives. The original mission created may have been called MEOW also but this is unconfirmed.
[/ QUOTE ]This is incorrect. The name caught on because the first (or one of the first) had "meow" in each of the required text fields (and nothing in any of the non-required text fields). -

and these other wings im reading about....u have to find [censored] and then make it then find a tailor to put it on...and all of this cost ALOT of infamy(gold)???? wow this is different from wow...kinda lol
[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't really cost that much infamy/influence. Gold is a LOT more scarce in WoW than infamy/influence is in City. It's very easy to make infamy/influence. -

ya i was reading on the wiki sight about like like 10 min before u posted...but ty for the info and these veteran rewards...it says u have to to b active on a acct for 60 months, "time played, not paid(makes sense lol)" to teleport?
[/ QUOTE ]Uhhh. Teleport is a travel power that can be accessed at level 14 by any character, as long as they have one of the first two powers in the teleport power pool.

All the 60mo veteran reward is, is that those folks can choose teleport without having to choose one of the first two pools in the teleport pool, effectively saving them a power choice if they want to.

http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Mac_Special_Edition
The Mac Special Edition comes with a costume set called "Valkyrie", which includes wings and a cape. You can either get the Mac edition (which comes with a free month) for $20, or you can get its associated goodie pack for $10, which only includes the in-game stuff (no free month).
(PS; YES!! You CAN use the Mac Special Edition if you have a non-Mac! it's just a box code, it's not a restricted use thing)

It used to be viable, but I seem to recall something about an auto-rez after a certain amount of time being dead? I have no idea, really. I got the time badges on my main badgers (one hero and one villain) while you could be dead for the whole duration. Not sure if it's changed or if that's my brain going (more) crazy.

Because people were thinking that the help tab would magically grant them assistance through the UI.
It was amusing to see how many different people would try to bring up some kind of help window in one night.
/help macros
/help map
/help hellions
/help binds
/help trainer
These people aren't watching their chat box in order to figure out that they are talking into a chat channel, and not attempting to pull up some sort of UI index of assistance...or if they are, they are surprised when people answer them instead of popping up a window or some automated text.
Of course, these people are still not watching their chat box, which means they're not seeing the error...or if they are, they don't know what it means...and the game falls a notch in understandability. -

When ever i have SS on my power thing says i have minus threat lvl and i kinda of want to know what the hell that is.
[/ QUOTE ]
For the most part, you can think of it as another stealth effect. Technically it isn't, but you're only likely to have an issue with that technicality in PvP. Stacking stealth+SS gives you full invisibility. It's better than Invisibility from the power pool because it doesn't make you "Only Affecting Self", but it's nowhere near as good as what Illusion Control gets.
Some of the stealth effects do not stack with each other but, since SS is 'technically' not stealth, it stacks with all of them.
[/ QUOTE ]Keep in mind SS does not give stealth vs other players (PVP zones/arena). -
Resilience is freaking great...great place for a resistance IO set special...no stun after wakies...you can stand toe to toe with Romulus when he absorbs his Nictus buddies...it takes so much stacked stun to stun me, I've been stunned maybe a handful of times, maybe TWO handfuls of times at most, since having Integration+Resilience.
I would never trade it for phase shift. Just get ethereal shift from wentworths if you really need it. And you can get another phase shift power from patrolling Warburg, up to three times. -
Logging into a new character forcibly logs your old character out, no matter what number you are at on the countdown. That's why they don't want to do a quit-to-login or switch-to-other-character thing.

Oh, and those missions were called "Meow" because the exploitive XP/Inf you got while playing them made you PURRRRRRRRRRR like a cat...hahaha...
At least thats the way I was always told...and i liked that definition.
[/ QUOTE ]They were called meow missions because the first one (or one of the first ones) had "meow" in every required text field. -
You can type /quit. It'll quit the game without anything special.
You can bind it to a key if you like.
/bind key "quit"
so if I wanted to bind it to control + q key, it'd look like
/bind ctrl+q "quit" -
Added the Temporary Powers page to the Temporary Powers category, and also linked it in the category description.
-
Correct. And if you use "active channel" while on the Help tab, you'll get that error because the Help chat tab still uses /h for the "active channel" setting. >.<

I'm so glad someone answered the question before I gave in to my snarky urge. I hate giving in to my snarky urges. Especially on unsuspecting people.

If it's not in line-of-sight (and stairs have issues with LOS), it won't hit. Cones are true 3D cones, not 2D (flat).
