    What? A bot can dream, right?

    This is the part I don't like. So, if I picked a Tech origin character, but a power in the 'Science Pool' actually appealed more and still fitted the concept, I'd basically be penalised for being Tech origin. Something that doesn't exist in the patron pools, or in-game at all in fact (with the one exception of the first version of the Vet Nem staff/Blackwand reward, which does give a bonus)

    Personally, now that the Epic Pools have been made free to pick for Redsiders too, I find myself doubting I'll even look at the Patron pools again, with maybe the exception being Black Scorpions S/L shield, or if a character concpet really matches red lightning, souls or sharks.

    So, /unsigned to being origin specific, as even the Devs have said they don't want origin to be anything other than flavour really.
    But more power pools? I see no reason why not

    Hmn, fair enough. It just seemed to suddenly die in such a firestorm all of a sudden.

    Just my desktop PC, rather than my laptop. Once the rigs hooked up to internet, I can start actually getting serious about joining the art scene here, as working on a laptop to submit stuff is a pain in the skitplate
  4. Sorry to chime in off-topic somewhat here but...
    Seriously? Are the art forums this cut throat all the damn time?

    If so, it's making me reconsider actually getting any of my stuff up on here and offering commisions once my main rig is hooked up. Because the **** throwing side of all this has made me do a double take more times than I care to count...

    Dunno what kinda server you're playing on, but Union's warzone is pretty active. I know for certain peeps in the various SGs Im part of run through it regularly, just because they enjoy it.

    Rularuu cheats by floating though
    He may well be just a tad taller, anyway.

    Believe me, Jay's Enforcer set was amazing at the time, but it was pretty much the last big set we got. Everything else has been small and skintight, pretty much. OK, aside from the PPD boots. But where are the PPD gloves with the large shields? Those are the ones I wanted to use, but I can't...
    Oh god yes. I will actually kill if it gets me those 'large robotic' scale PPD gloves. They would work wonders for the costume re-working I was doing on the Chief, and let me drop the old 'tech huge' gloves.

    If theres any reasoning behind not giving us those, I'd just love to hear it...

    Damn...you just reminded me how badly the Blueside Aura mission needs an overhaul, when the Destined schtick actually sounds better. (And is actually more fun to play, too...gorramn hunts...)

But the Rularuu weapons I wanted to see redside just because they look evil and would fit on many players concepts of their toons. I am afraid this is a mute point for the side specific costume options and the badges that unlock them now as toons can just switch sides to pick up the badges they need and then switch back or w/e.

    Ok. Let me get this right, then...

    Villains can unlock a weapon if, and only if, they manage to do enough missions available during two (2) specific holiday events during the course of a whole year. In contrast to the fact that Heroes have a whole zone literally brimming with the evil little sods.

    And, of course, it's all ok, because people can just side switch to get the stuff anyway.
    Handily forgetting just what that entails. Let's have a look at all the crap that is currently Blueside locked/stupidly easier;
    -Ten tip missions
    -Morality Mission
    -Hunting 333 Redcaps (Daggers)
    -Freedom Phalanx TFs (Epaulets)

    -Shadow Shard Hunting (Rularuu weapons, in contast to a grand total of two opportunities Villainside, and Naylors arc requires a crapton of prerequisites and planning to get them, or level 40 and Scirocco's patron arc)

    -Fake Nem hunting in PI (Nem rifle, they spawn in sweet sod all missions redside)
    -Paragon Protector hunting (Mastermind rifle, they spawn insanely rarely in the Fab in GV, at the lovely level 53)

    Now, what was it I forgot...Oh, yes;
    -Buying an expansion pack just to avoid utter ballache for getting the above!

    That's excatly how much I hate some of the current unlocks. Side specific locks are [*WARNING! EXTREME PROFANITY!*]
    So. Don't give me that guff. Just damn don't.

    What, so you're locked into not being able to get them until level 45?
    How's about HELL NO?
    Bad idea. I'd say stick a few UXBs in the RWZ, make the Heavies that sometimes spawn there count and bingo. Problem solved.

    The weapons, although I described it as "costume unlocks". My unfortunate choice of words.

    My example was the Tommy Gun. So with what I'm thinking, let's say a badger gets darn near every badge on thier L50. Thier L1 Blaster can start with a Tommy Gun. The Vanguard Rifle, though, I could see as "not quite unlocked, but reserved" on that L1 blaster. With Vanguard being a L35+ outfit, that Blaster would get it as soon as they hit L35, instead of hitting L35 AND THEN getting it unlocked normally.
    I'd have to murder the entire world to steal it's supply of /Signed just to have half of what I need to /Sign this part.
    VG rifle I can settle for being 35+. But the frakin' Nemesis rifle? Villain side? In fact, most of the weapons redside? (Redcap knives, Rularuu weapons, I'm looking at you!)
  17. Just change her to 'fight Defensive' from the AE, rather than 'Aggresive'. Also known as 'It's still on the map SHOOT IT!!!'
    And yes to the 'let us lead them out, for pity sakes!!' suggestion.

    This post was worthy of five exclamation marks. *nod*

    Sorry, what?

    You have seen a female model with the chest slider moved to 'wuh-oh', right?
    Lousy excuse is lousy.

    Anyway, my view;
    /Signed. I'm not asking for a change in art style or anything. In fact, I'd be openly against it. The thing is, there is plenty of room for big weapons without a massive departure in style. Hell, I'd settle for a Semi-Auto style pistol the length of the current magnum revolver (the old, low texture one). Just a long barrelled gun. And an Assault rifle that is as long as a Nemesis rifle yet more tech-like, and not like the god-awful franken gun. A sword with a wider blade...y'see where I'm going here.
    It's feasible, very much so, without breaking the art style. All it'd need is some design time.
  20. Have they managed to fix the strange shifting that happens when female models use /e drink, too?
    What is it with stuff breaking nearly every patch? I mean, not even stuff related to stuff that was changed; totally different stuff breaking?
    So. Damn. Wierd.

  23. Welcome back to the Darkness, young one. The Nictus are not beaten yet...we shall rise again, and consume this pitiful planet.

    I need to get used to playing my Shade again when I have internet to my main PC. I tried playing him again and he's no bike; if you forget, you need to practice to get back into it. But he's still seriously badass when he gets rolling.
    And teaming is pure win. Enjoy the evil
