    In the words of a certain Mortal Combat fighter;

    "GET THE **** OVER HERE!!"

    I always take it
  2. I'd just like to beat them up for being able to push around my nine foot tall robotic Tanker like he's made of paper
    Stupid Mag 100 Push Civilians...

Sadly, like you said, not gonna happen My Villains are dissapoint.
  3. I used to think the same.
Then I did the decent thing and gave my AR/Ice Blaster a proper build.
Now he's an unstoppable engine of Dakka. Dakkadakkadakka.

Devices, now...Devices could use some real help. Targetting Drone? Costs too much for what it does. Lack Aim or BU in the combo with AR. Gun Drone, and Time Bomb. Two powers that are like radioactive marmite. It's Devices that is to fault in that combo. Even then, it can be effective...although probably not as effective as other combos. It all comes down to play style.

AR is basically rapid fire AoE lead based death. Flamethrower and Ignite are best saved for teams with immob/mez however.

Who knows, tho? The possible judgement powers leaves me too curious to jump to any conclusions yet.

Aye, and those who would never be without one.
So long as we got Soldiers without helmets, thanks!! *glare face*
How longs it been, now? Still no non-helmet faces for Soldiers...

Biggest examples would probably be Steven Sheridan and Timothy Raymond. Steven because he actually introduces you to some Rikti secrets which your character already knows, and Timothy because he'd never willingly work with any Rikti he was aware of.

Costumes... I can see a lot of people being unhappy if their wardrobe becomes extremely limited because they don't get to wear other gear than Rikti armour, haha.
I think so long as you could pick a Human OR Rikti slot per costume slot, it'd be ok.
I'm still puzzled as to why that sort of option hasnt been engineered for VEATs, but hey...

    Here's an idea:

There is going to be a war between the praetorians and those of Primal earth, naturally the rikti are going to be involved too so considering they have "their own alignment" , Desitre, they would fight alongside the heroes of primal earth to defend their morals, goals, or whatever they are fighting for. After this war is over with the praetorians the rikti realize something, thus changing their thoughts about those of primal earth. So they set up a ceasefire with the primal earth heroes and become allies with them.

This is all just speculation and theory, an idea to pass around. As for the powers and how we need something we haven't seen well. . . I'm still working on that.
Oy vey, someone hasn't done the RWZ arcs here...

!! SPOILERS BELOW! BE WARNED! !!

    Researched from In-Game canon arcs and the Wiki, along with just normal play through;

The Rikti war was all orchestrated by Nemesis. He wanted the Lineage of War to invade, Earth to stand on the brink of collapse, and then he, Nemesis, could ride in on his steam powered pony and save the day, the grateful world falling at his feet.
Of course, that backfired wonderfully on him. Hro'Dtohz was both more ambitious and also way more competant and aggressive than Nemesis had counted on. He also hadn't factored in the resistance put up by Earths heroes, and the Omega team gambit.

When the Second War came back around, Nemesis' plans changed, and he instead decided to upload his mind into the Rikti mental network, essentially giving him control of an entire race, all under his direct mental control.
By this time, however, the Rikti themselves have now split into two factions. The Lineage of War, or Restructurists, are followers of Hro'Dtohz. They feel the way they exist now, as soldiers and conquerers, is better than what they had before and intend to keep it that way, replacing the way of life on the Rikti homeworld with their new system.
The Traditionalists, on the other hand, are those who stick to the normal Rikti way of doing things. The violence of the Lineage of War seems to be severely unnerving to them, and indeed the Lineage is a small minority on the Rikti homeworld.

The Traditionalist-Vanguard Peace treaty is, in canon, signed. Words likely not spread back to the homeworld yet, but the Traditionalists on Earth are, in canon, now allied with Vanguard. Hro'Dtohz seems willing to make deals with a few humans, the notable one being Lord Recluse.

    //Spoilers: End///

That leaves a LOT of room for 'Epic' AT Story lines and development. Heck, you could even add in a ton of 'all AT' content to coincide, with special arcs that related to the Rikti ATs on either side (Restructurist/Lineage = Villains, Traditionalists = Hero)

Digital seems to dispise my attempts at mastering it. Stuff I can whip up easily in traditional (like my threads sketches) are nigh impossible to replicate digitally.

Not like I'm gonna let it win, or anything...but it's still frustrating -_-
  12. Y'know, Afterimage makes a good point; it tends to be SOs that actually make a helluva lot of difference. Stamina is still a major help and 'end gulch' negater in my books, but-

However, before I get into that, thats a whole other thread on TOs (they suck), DOs (better but overpriced) and SOs (Still overpriced)
    So, I shall shush, heh

There is one, I admit. But that is very recent and, t'be honest, it's been a long time coming. So that one is exempt from the rule. Other than that? Party on!

Although I may just steal that picture, I've been lacking a good Headdesk in my menagirie for some time now *stroke goatee*
  15. I personally think that we were heading out of the Danger zone- *slaps minion who tries to play that god damned track* -and getting back OT. So...bringing it all back up is kinda silly?

Semi-OT: Others have already explained how GG seems clique. I don't mean the word in any other context other than 'It's hard to get into at times'. Pretty much how I'd view a clique. Not 100% sure what the neg-cons are, so I won't ask

OT: Alpha I've already explained. Well nothing, he's simply integrating bigger and more awesome tech into his and the teams systems, along with stealing whatever superior Praetorian tech he can, and adapting it to suit his own ends. He is a genius, after all.

I'm hard pushed to think of any of my characters that will fit a 'traditional' Incarnate mould if you will, that of being empowered by something at least semi-divine.
That said, Wyldy (Wyld Fire) would be a good example. I have some fun ideas for just what to do with her. I don't think the Demons and Demonettes of the Underrealms have quite realised just what they've let themselves in for by giving power to someone with such a massive drive to claw their way to the top of the pile all the way from the bottom.

Leon will probably end up more empowered... an Incarnate of himself, more likely, given he is the Sire of the DeFeurard bloodline. I know for sure I'll be using Judgement to give him a mega impressive fireball attack to fit his background I have to admit, theres a few characters I wish I could use a more maleable framework with. Although then again some of them might well stray into overpoweredness if that were true... *Imagines Leon as a Katana/Super reflexes/Regen/Fire Blast AT* Hmm...awwww yeeaaaah

Uuhh....Chief is simply gonna get closer to how he should have been anyway (Once I get him back to 50...damn tankers), Nightwalker is going with dark science, Wolf is getting a mk III suit or armour....Vix has got some fun stuff planned that will probably result in Foundry RP
So, yeah, wide array of stuff to do.

  17. GG is, to be blunt, very clique. I had to sit around listening for a few days, truth be told, until it started to pick up.
Thing was, I RPed before that anyway, with other people and groups. The main group I RP with are the Corp, or The Corporation in full. The Hero side 'equivelant' I guess is the Foundry. Some of us (Myself and Bunny are the ones I can think of off the top of my head) use the Officials from time to time, but for the most part we stick with out own forums (or forum, since we have just the one)

So long as people are willing to take feedback and stuff, we're open. IC missioning, IC mooching around, IC forum stuff on our boards...you name it, we pretty much got it.
    Uhm...yeah. *shrug and brainfail*

Y'know, thats a pretty unfair and sweeping generalisation. This only ever seems to crop up on the forums (and about once or twice in game, usually about once a year or so)
So tarring everyone with the brush consisting of a few people is...well, sweeping.

Stamina was never mandatory. Only play-styles dictate whether stamina is considered mandatory or not.

I have had very few characters where I thought I needed Stamina in order to enjoy (key word) playing those characters. That is my play-style.

    Obviously, yours differs.

Yet, I still manage to keep up with "Mandatory" Stamina players with my Stamina less Blasters, Controllers, Tankers, Defenders, Scrappers, Kheldians, Brutes, Dominators, Masterminds, Corruptors, Stalkers, Widows, and Soldiers. Some better than others, granted.

That is, of course, my opinion.
And for the record, I thought that making Fitness inherent was a mistake.
    That, also, is my opinion.

And everyone knows that my opinion is the one that counts. ...for me
Fair enough, and I'm not attempting to knock the people who managed without Fitness. Heck, well done to them, in all seriousness.

But when the overwhelming majority do take Stamina, despite it not being mandatory, that says something about the majority's comforbility with not having it.

Also, how does anyone lose in this scenario anyway? Those who took Fitness before now get more powers to use and get Stamina from level 2. And those who never took it are now getting a little boost for free. How is any of that a bad thing?

Some advice you might take yourself, man. Instant judgement of people and telling them 'L2Play'...did you really expect any other sort of response?
  22. Because the majority of Really damaging attacks in game, with the exception of certain AVs and mob types, tend to be S/L. Invul can very, very easily run at 90% hardcapped S/L on a tank, shrugging off a lot of attacks like they simply aren't there.
Couple that with easily softcapped defence to all and, well, you have a recipe for one of the toughest Tank sets around.
It ain't shabby on Scrappers or Brutes, either
  23. We do not talk about Mu Strikers...
    Hate. Them.
  24. Having just made an IO build for my latest character, 'Streaking Shiela', Kin/SR Scrapper...I'm wondering how I'll factor Incarnates in for her...because her final IO build is insane. Softcapped def? Perma-Hasten? Very high accuracy and damage? Thank you!

Her nabbing power for herself from the Well might actually fit for her, tbh. She's a thief, and having an extra edge would certainly appeal to her.
