Tossing something else in. Don't know if it's be brought up already, but if it has, it needs repeating anyway.
Alternate animations for Teleport. For example, doing something like using the costumes change animations for Lightning Bolt or Dimension Shift or Smoke Bomb. -
Steelbane is sort of a cross between a Terminator and Bender.
Wardsman is nod to Hyperion from JMS's Squadron Supreme.
Shadow Scourge is a nod to the Void, the evil version of the Sentry.
Burning-Star is a female version of the Sentry with the split personalities and energy powers.
Ahreman the Red is a cross between Black Adam and Kid Miracleman.
Agonus is sort of a cross between Destro and Dr. Doom.
Omega Nuclear Driver, in his current incarnation anyway, is what would happen if Dexter (from Dexter's Laboratory) built a miniature version of Liberty Prime from Fallout 3.
And Black Reckoner is a nod to the current direction of Daredevil, with a vigilante gaining control of a clan of ninja assassins. -
If I actually used Facebook more than like once a month, I might be concerned. But I also signed up with an alias too. ^_^
Regardless, if any of my real information was on that ridiculous site, I'd be pissed. -

They're doing ads on websites and everything!
*Disclaimer- I do not know how long CBR with have a Going Rogue background on the main page, but that's what it is as of 8/17. -

I guess I should not be surprised at all the players going out of their way to try to PuG out of the opening zone as fast as possible, but... geeze. There's like, how many plot and dialogue options?!
-

Former mutant Prodigy, who could pick up the knowledge of anyone within a certain radius, stayed with the X-Men as a base coordinator after he lost his mutant power. There was a plot when he still had his power where he tried to change things so that he kept all the knowledge he gained, but I don't remember how it was resolved.
Magog also set up training for the JSA All-Stars so that they could still fight without their powers. -
Energy Transfer.
Any power that has that slow jumping up and landing with a double-fisted smash, like Thunderstrike and Total Focus.
Jump Kick, changed to anything less flippy.
Energy Transfer.
Can we get some alternate Dual Pistols animations that are more spaghetti Western and less Equilibrium?
For the elemental powers that have weapon attacks (Ice, Fire, and Earth), options so that you could use either all attacks with the elemental weapon or all attacks with no elemental weapon. For example, being able to change Stone Melee so that all the attacks use the Stone Mallet, or Fire Melee so that all the attacks involve burning hands.
And for Breath of Fire and Frost Breath, being able to change the origination area of the attack from the "mouth" to the hands.
And did I mention Energy Transfer? -
I never use blatant misspelling or goofy punctuation in names. Stuff like Spectre/Specter is okay, and hyphens are the only punctuation I'll use.
Powersets have to sync up visually by animation and color. For example, stuff like Rad/Rad and Rad/Kin work. Ice Blast/Dark Miasma, and, say, Fire Melee/Elec armor are out.
No Shields unless it's paired with a weapon, but the elemental scimitars count.
Always log out in a Day Job location. If forces beyond my control hinder that, go back to the character and get them in a Day Job location.
Can't really explain why, but I got into the habit of never doing the hero tutorial and always doing the villain one.
No common IOs or full IO sets before lvl 47. I've been pushing up my usage of IO sets though. Used to be that I didn't bother until the late 30's, now I start tinkering with them in the late teens and/or early 20s.
I also have a couple costume design elements I stick too, and there are a lot of pieces I'll never ever touch, but those "rules" are too difficult to explain here. >.> -
Purely on some variation of the strength/invulnerability/flight/speed/ combo platter powers.
Wildstorm's Mr. Majestic
Image's Captain Dynamo
(On a quick sidenote, there's a subplot in the Image mini Dynamo 5: Sins of Our Fathers, which deals with how three Superman analogues, Omni-Man, Cap Dynamo, and Supreme, teamed up to deal with a galactic invader character.)
Mark Millar and Lienel Yu's new character Superior seems to be yet another Superman clone too.
Marvelman/Miracleman is an expy of Captain Marvel who's an expy of Superman.
And as far as alien from another planet arrives on Earth with the combo platter of powers, technically you have Goku, and then Omni-Man and Invincible too. -
Quote:Juno also had Ellen Page to pick up Cera's considerable slack.Well you could have brought up Juno as well, it seems that there's a lot of hate there as well.
Quote:More people saw the Expendables.
More people say Scott Pilgrim is the better movie.
I saw Expendables, and while it was entertaining, it's an 80's action movie with 2010 special effects. The plot was average and the dialogue was rather hit and miss.
The biggest complaints I've seen about Scott Pilgrim revolve around Cera recycling his schtick and the movie being too stylized. One review even compared it to Speed Racer. Ouch.
I'll be curious to see how the movies do their second weekends.
Oh I agree, but Hollywood sure loves its opening weekends. -
I just don't get the handlebars on the back of the Resistance shoulder pads. Do Resistance members double as waterboards or something?
Quote:Oooh, wasn't expecting that at all. Very nifty....
Can't direct you to the pics of the Alpha or Omega auras, but I can tell you this: ALL the auras already in game will now also have a "combat aura" option. That's pretty awesome, actually.
From Zombie Man's guide:

Quote:Correction: The booster is a collection of the in-game items that come with the Complete Collection version of Going Rogue. If you prepurchased Going Rogue on the NCSoft store(to get Pistols or Demons early) you do NOT get the Complete Collection stuff and you must buy the booster. -
Quote:Character shields and author favoritism aside, unpredictability from an otherwise completely human character -should- only go so far. Against low tier characters and hapless citizens? Sure, I'll give you that. Against characters capable of destroying a city block with the equivalent of a wave of their hand? No way. While I certainly agree that the Joker and Batman are overhyped to a degree, they all do have a reason to be scared of the Joker: He's smarter than all of them. Watch any movie that has a multitude of villains (World's Finest, Under the Red Hood, Dark Knight). The Joker will always come out on top, and not just because of plot armor. Much like Jeremiah Berek of 7th Sea, the fact that he's so far out there grants him outside thinking that allows him to access strategies most other people can't conceive. He is the dark mirror of Batman: He can win if he doesn't have time to plan.
At least Deadpool has his fighting skills and regen in addition to being bat@#$% insane. The Joker is just crazy. That's it. Nothing else.
And like I've said before, this wouldn't be an issue, (to me, anyway) if the comics didn't amp up the Joker's body count to ridiculous levels and stick to the weak defense that "Jokah so cah-razy!" he gets away with it. -
By pure coincidence I logged-in just in time for this.
So, um, neat and all, but... praytell why for art Malta attack?
-
Quote:Joker scaring other villains is one of the things I utterly despise about DC. Characters like Black Adam, Zoom, Grodd, Deathstroke, Luthor, Prometheus, Bane, hell, even freaking Catman, among a multitude of others, are better than that.Doesn't Joker scare the crap out of the rest of Earth's villains?
You'd think they
would get together and try to eliminate him, if only to keep him from screwing with their own plans at some later date.
I can see certain "big picture" villains keeping Joker around for the chaos he creates, and the Joker is so focused on Batman anyway. But being afraid of a him? No, just no. -
Any thoughts on Elec/FA post buffs?
-
Never got a Scrapper past level 18, so I'm looking for something new with GR. Haven't gotten MA or Regen very high either, but I'd like something flashier visually if possible.
As such, a few questions.
So between DM/FA and MA/Regen, which would better in terms of survivability and damage output? MA/FA is another option if that syncs at all. -
Quote:Who cares how the Expendables is rated? That is missing the "point" of the movie.OK, either we all listen to critics, and take their word for everything, or we ignore them.
Do you really think they are going to give the Expendables a high score? No.
Did you even check any of those links I posted? Sarcasticgamer.com is reviewing the comic, and destructoid.com is in there too. A far cry from the elitist reviewers with no sense of fun you're talking about. -
Quote:And according to other critics, Scott Pilgrim is Twilight for boys.Read the other thread on the first page on Edgar Wright's quick comments about SP's motivation if you're really curious. He nails it.
I have a friend who is a movie critic for the Dallas Morning News. He knows nothing about the book or the premise this is based on. He saw it last night, and his quick email to me said, "Saw it last night. I must say, I was kind of blown away. Its a fantastic movie: visually, creatively, etc ."
I'm expecting big things. -
