P.E.R.C. Presents Dress Your Badge Contest!
Friday, March 26, 2010
Pocket D @ 9:00PM EST / 6:00PM PST
Take one of the 700 badges available in CoX and use it as inspiration for a costume. Pick the badge and dress the part! Hero and Villain winners will be chosen based on whichever players the judging panel believes makes the best attempt to dress / interpret the selected badges.
- Hero judging will begin @ 9:05 PM EST.
- Villain judging will begin @ 9:35 PM EST.
- Only One Badge May Be Selected. That badge MUST be on display during judging.
- Costume MUST relate to the badge - the entire costume - otherwise what is the point?
- Heroes & Villains Welcome.
- No late entries accepted.
- Only one global entry per Hero/Villain - **This means a player can enter 1 hero and 1 villain if they so desire.**
- Emotes are a go - no text please!
- Powers are a go as long as they do NOT have a large area of affect and do NOT affect other players!! - Remember you will be standing next to each other...
- Toothbreaker: Dress as a boxer.
- Superstar: Dress like a movie star.
- Restrained: Dress in chains.
- Faithful: Dress like a nun or worshiper.
- Man In Black: Well that's quite obvious.
For each category (Hero and Villain) judges will pick 10 winners, and out of those 10 will chose a top 3:- - 100m + 100m = 200m

Yeah just as Schismatrix said ... all set bonus follow that rule -- with the exception of the unique ones such as the steadfast +3% def - only one of those can be put on a given character's build.
Example of the one that most commonly tricks people:
I have 5 LotG 7.5% sloted, but I also have a bas. gaze set sloted for more 7.5%. The LotG's bonus is seperate from those that are in sets such as sting of the manti., kinetic crash, and bas. gaze. -
RoF == proc heaven...
with global rech, don't need to slot so much for it, proc it even more -- not that there is much to chose from besides posi haha so i guess rech or dmg/rech or /end is good -
ahh forum code mess lol
note - data link and/or code chunck works great!
Uhh just by looking over it, I see where you should put several HOs in -- though i know they are rare redside... Other than that ... cool -- nice ACC, end comp not so much -
*bump*
We really want your input
And note, we can't let champion have more submissions!! (currently leading) -
I think it sounds cool...
Well they allow auctioning off people and themselves >_> heh its just a more advanced verison -
okies -- will do, plus there is LOADs of people here that can help you out
-
aww man wasn't even home yet!!
Nice one... -
I must say ALL kheld teams rock... They are a lot of fun!
To the point though -- Khelds are definitely unique
WarShades have massive AoE potential -- you get +dmg and +res like crazy AND you can heal yourself effectively. Human form is more of the buffer for the other two, it gives you what you need to destroy, stay alive, and make boom booms - the other two are excellent for sustained dmg and versatility. Mix the 3 together and you have perfection!
PeaceBringers I find more uhh direct and situational -- you need single target dmg you got it ... you need some AoE action and dmg midigation you got it. PB's tend to be more squishy than WS, but they do have a lot more HP. If you were to make a human form only kheld -- I'd definitely suggest PB (does a LOT more ST dmg than WS). I however like my triform - being able to adapt to what I need and such.
So yeah - If you've got other 50s and haven't tried a Kheld -- definitely take it up into the upper 30s before you make your choice -- I think they are a lot of fun, my WS is just beastly, and my PB is adaptive and just flat out fun to play. -
laser sight?
1 it came from the hands
2 its not a solid beam such as laser beam eyes
3 but it does sound like an energy pulse kind of power
*shrug* would be cool if it was -
45+ for 53 merits
47+ for the HO enhancement (I think) -
-
Yeah thats what the designer of the survey intended, don't think I would have went the same route -- Anyways the information is obviously not requried but if you don't provide any of the information then there is no way to contact you thus not being counted in the prize selection process ( if that is something you would want to do )
Thanks to everyone that has completed it thus far!!!
ps : don't quote the post please -
I have both -- As the others have stated, as much as I love my electric ... the scrapper version is better >_> .... SS however is awesome, watch your end and your home free.
As for that build, I realize you just put them together -- I don't suggest mace mastery, I like more rech, and that you will have a hard time maintaining end if you aren't careful -
I have 1 now ... saw several in the process
-
oO Awesome job everyone!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the submissions.
And thnx to the hosts of the contest - grats to the winners -
accounts are automatically reactivated - just login to it at the game login screen -- i've already tried -- Odd how your account isn't working
Note that there is no 'double xp' in the AE thus far -
You don't require any knowledge of us to fill it out -- Only number 4 asks some specifics, and you can simply chose other
-
oooo yes ... when I look up prices for the toons that I want to slot its like *oohgawd and close the window*
Yeah they only way I can support paying the redside prices is trading influences into infamy and merits to squeeze out those expensive ones such as LOTG.
I'm not sure what a merger would do besides level out the supplies for a short while -- It would be interesting to find out. There definitely is a shortage on redside - ebil marketers! -
Quote:there were 4 give awaysReally? I'm sorry. I didn't realize that wasn't a winning shot. Still, you did find the right place, and someone did this week as well. And looking at that shot... I still have no idea where it is. I wouldn't even have known to look in Brickstown.
1 - the train station railing -- yes it is very difficult to see but there is hardly anything else that looks like that...
2 - the freaks - had to be a zone that supported freaks
3 - the people on the street + tree -- had to be a zone with populace, granted it was difficult to see but that was the first conclusion I came to when I zoomed in on it
4 - the wall texture
I figured it out but the exact location was vague and I failed to put the pieces together until it was too late haha -
ARGGH!!! i've been floating around bricks forever!! I KNEW it was tha trainstation ... sigh
grats -
