Quote:I have three I plan to make, all of the same order of monks. Chances are I will post their builds here too. The brute boards are about useless, and I feel like an outsider on the stalker boards. In my heart I will always be a Scrapper. For staffs, I think I will going with SF/Ela brute...
I know! This is scrapper forums but I want Electric armor badly and its better for brutes, like most of the resist sets.
Otherwise, which combo would be good for Staffs?
Im so damn excited for it, been wanting it since I started playing 6 years ago.
Staffs stalkers looks good too!
Staff/EA Scrapper
Staff/undecided brute
Staff/Nin stalker -
Quote:This sums it up. Which is why I complain about Hasten's FX every chance I get. I sometimes randomly post how I want it to change in Tunnel Rat's FX thread.People don't like it because of the horrid uncustomizable hand glow it forces upon your character.
I hate it too, but I'm not going to gimp my character over such a reason as making my character look less "pretty"
Still not going to gimp my toons by not taking it.
I take Hasten at lvl 30 on EVERY toon. -
Quote:The Sashes are new on the male and female model I am pretty sure. We have the shirt already, just not a sleeveless version.Yeah, you're leaving out the bustier and forget the male shirts can't just be included since they're on the legacy NPC models. They can't be ported. They would have to made from scratch for the PC models. There are no male clothing pieces to port. Nor is there a "unisex belt" to port for the same reason.
Like I said, if it's ported, it's only new female pieces. Another female set with a bustier.
Exactly like Carnival of Light had female pieces that could be ported to PCs, but no male pieces because they were all legacy Chain Legacy pieces.
All I really want are the Hats and the dang blasted sash. -
-
The Stalker changes are the most significant to me.
As for power sets, Street Justice, and Staff caused love to bloom in my heart. -
Just give us a sash for male and huge models already. Please just move it to the top of the list. It has been requested since Kheldians were put in the game, is it not about time to do it?
I will say that I like the sash the Tsoo wear better than the carnie sash though. It has a more martial arts look to it.
Oh, and that hat would be nice too. I am sure the females are also going to want that top. The new Tattoo would be nice also. Hey I have an idea, how about a costume pack with ALL of the Tsoo costume items. Note to that the Tsoo use about every power in the game with those skirts on...
Also, expect a whole bunch more posts to be added to this thread after the next issue is released.
Been a long time since we heard from anyone but Dink. I hope David, Jay, and the other art guys are ok. -
Kat/SR is a good one.
I have done it with most of my scrapper builds with the exception of spines and Claws. You just need that right mix of survival and damage.
About anything /Shield should be able to pull it off after IOs also.
Run through the Pylon thread for the higher damage primaries. I think KM and StJ are near the top right now. I will admit I have not looked in a while though. -
Fighting (boxing, Tough, and some times Weave)
Speed (Hasten)
Leaping (Combat Jumping)
Leadership (Maneuvers and/or Assault)
If concept Demands it I take Flight (Fly, and Hover in the place of CJ)
EPP
Always Body Mastery, I am paranoid about my blue bar. -
That would be a great buff for MA. Have Cobra strike Stun and give a +def like parry.
I really think MA and the older sets all need to be reworked by the current dev team. -
What I REALLY hope is that Mids has an update ready on day 1 of the set being released. If it is not already in there that is.

Red Shepherd Staff/EA scrapper. Name reserved, and he will be made as soon as I wake up that Tuesday morning.

I have a lvl 50 EM/WP brute that I have not played in years. However I now need him to test some stuff, and I need a descent build to do it with. I would like to get him close to soft cap def at all possible. Because it is a test toon inf is a non-issue. I have just been having a lot of trouble getting WP to do what I want it to do as of late.
Thanks in advance for any builds. -
Quote:You know if you left you would miss me. :PCome now it needs the same help as scrappers LOL!
People here have just lost it. I realize some of my friends that have stopped coming here were in fact right. And to think I "tired" to defend the general ashattery around here....
DA is fine... if you know how to build a toon that is. -

While I still want scrappers to have something unique, I can not say with any honesty sythat they need help.
Tanks and Blasters on the other hand are in trouble in my opinion. As much as we all enjoy saying JB is crazy, fact is he is right in a lot of ways about how tanks are treated compared to Brutes. It is BS.
Blasters have a whole other level of problems. In the beginning not all mobs had ranged attacks. So, range really was a form of defense, Hovering and Blasting did aford a levle of safety unless it was against a mob that it made sense for them to have a ranged attack. Then they decided that was too easy and gave EVERY mob a ranged attack. Even mobs that shouldn't have one (like the TW and DB KoV) have nasty ranged attacks.
So, Blasters and Tanks are the easy answer. -
Quote:I can get behind this for major NPCs. Like I don't want Manti's MAsk, that is his, and it would suck if every Tom, Dick, and Harry had it.As cool as the Sybil outfits are I could see where the Devs would want to keep them "NPC only" even if there wasn't an issue with waist-cape network bandwidth. Having said that I obviously wouldn't mind if we could eventually get some variant Sybil outfit parts that would be similar to the NPC one but not identical so that we could have something to play with.
On the other hand, if I can go out on the street and find large groups to beat the crap out of, then they should give me the option to have those costume items. After all, if I want them, I can find a mob to take them from.
Sybils are a bit rare, so I can buy that. CoT hats and long skirts, I can find those in almost every zone in the game. I should be able to just beat *** and take one if I want it. If I have to pay Paragon points to say that I did that *** beating, than so be it.
We should have access to common mob costuming because those mobs are common. They are easy to find, easy to beat, and easy to take their stuff.
Like the Black Knight armor (which I am in love with), I could walk into their camp and drop just 1 Ion Judgement. I am sure I would be able to pick parts to fit me from all those bodies.
The CoL costume pack was a step in the right direction. The CoT pack was close, but they held back a few pieces they knew we wanted bad. I really hope they plan to release them later.
Going forward, ALL NPC art assets should be designed with the plan of giving the players access to those items. The exception being Major NPCs like BABs and his gloves. -

Quote:This is where I am at. I get that set and I really don't give a crap about what else is in this issue. At the least I hope they will sell those armor pieces to me. I can already get a chainmail look in the game. Tights with mesh, and the Olympian set all have a micromail look. The rest of the black knight set just makes all the other armor options in the game look pathetic.I'm hoping that we get the full Black Knight armor set and weapons and not JUST the chainmail because those armors look kickass.
I so hope this is not one of the issues where the Devs are keeping to cool pieces for the NPC. For the record though, I can see where the Dread Templar chest piece would be kept from us. -

Quote:Really want to echo this. I have played /EA to 50 on three toons now and have had nothing but fun with it. Like any +def set it doesn't really bloom till in the 30's, but after that it is all gravy. The culprit here is StJ/ I think, not /EA. Are your attacks well-slotted for end reduction? Are you regularly using your AoE Finisher(s) in ST chains? Either of those things can cause StJ toons to burn through their endurance like mad.
In the end game it is just a beast.
I have played it to 50 on Staff, TW, and STJ.
Stick with it and you will see some huge rewards. -
Quote:Judging by this thread I am not sure that is the case man. I love the Broad Sword Concept, but the animations blow. Same with claws. Some things new weapon models are just not going to fix.The path of least resistance. If they sold animations over making new powersets they would be roasted.
I beta is going, and I am sure at some point Synapse will be on, and I will yet again have this conversation with him. -
