There are many threads like this in all the melee forums and I think that's a shame. Thematically staff is about lots of little hits rather than burst damage. I suggest working on increasing your recharge.

That would probably be with fury up. I do enjoy staff more on my Brute than as a Scrapper.

I was unemployed for several years, I appreciate the difficult situation you are in. I have worked hard to never be unemployed again.

If I was unemployed now I would appreciate that I was able to play this game for little money and I would not be appealing to the community to give me the mecha armor. It would be the least of my concerns.

They are just costumes now but the devs could put in better stuff if they wanted.
I paid to get past T8 and I'm sure a lot of people have paid to go up the ladder so it's too late to change it now.

Of course fun is good. But as they add new stuff and more power these trials are going to become more boring and people will only run them to get the stuff they need to move on to the new shiny fun stuff. It's already happening, I solo'd the Maria Jenkins arc last night for the badge and it was a doddle.

The "Freedom Standard" sLAMs I've been on are like 4 except you get the grenades as fast as possible so there's a bit of time before the cutscene starts (and everyone can buff up) and then take out Marauder as fast as possible before the adds become unbeatable.

Bots/Traps is really good for high defense if thats what you want.

Thugs are great due to Gangwar and leadership and demons for added debuffs and resist/heals. Combined with Dark or Time is win.

I just find them more fun.

You only get body mastery on Stalkers. I'm enjoying the different flavours of buffs on my Scrapper. I tried Mind for Hasten but kept running out of end so I switched to Soul for +rec and it's pretty decent. Only level 12 atm I think Mind Mastery is going to be awesome at high levels.

Those guidelines are good for people who want to make the complete character and I myself have also had a couple of toons that I really connected with and wrote Bio's for and pushed myself to finish them off. Unfortunately a lot of altitus is caused by not being satisfied with the toon that they developed or by seeing something else that they really wanted to try. ie the Two Deadly Sins of Altitus: Acedia and Envy.

I saw a Staff.Infection on Freedom I reckon all versions of that would be taken by now.

It's the trials that have made me focus on specific toons. (cough and the ability to have a free second account cough).

Good job devs. To keep me coming back for more than 5 years is a big achievement believe me.

I didn't do beta and I didn't read wiki closely enough so I discovered the buffs that perfection gives out yesterday and enjoyed them immensely. I started out with Mind at level 12 and the recharge boost was noticeable but I am /sr so I kept running out of end so I switched to Soul and even though the fights lasted longer I was able to keep going without eating many blues. At later levels you get to choose which finisher to use and either get more buffs or put out debuffs. I'd be interested to see what other people do in the higher levels, if you are lazy like me and just go for the buff you want or like to switch it up for different foes.

I still have to wait 2.5 hours store better be online when I get home.

When my Desktop fell over (not sure if it was a virus or old harddisk) I plugged my monitor, gaming keyboard and mouse into my laptop and have had no trouble at all (it is a core i5). The only thing is they never put out video card driver updates and I always get that annoying warning on the title page.

I think the devs have gone to great care to make sure they are completely random whether you team or solo. I have done a mix of trials and DA and I have got catalysts pretty regularly from both and in different locations. Also I got a purple on a DA mission one day and another on a trial the next.
