It happens. You somtimes get enemies obviously not con right to each other, glitch out and kill each other. I've seen it happen on other Factions mobs as well, on both sides.

Quote:Christ alive, Geks, you'r esounding as self righteous and uptight as GG these days...The Responsibility Loyalists work for a despotic regime that tortures and kills its citizens. The whole point of that path is to show you that you're working for an illegitimate government. That you have chosen tyranny for the illusion of safety.
I've never understood this need that people feel on these boards to defend this path. -
Quote:The structure works better blueside, yes. And I think I'd be opposed to changing the structure.Removing the old contacts is a terrible idea because it is completely unnecessary. They work just fine, and are in fact far superior to City of Villain's busywork of forcing you to do boring, irrelevant paper missions and the same damn Mayhem mission I've done hundreds of times, just so I can get a contact that has a story to him.
I wouldn't be specifically opposed to the constructive part of the suggestion, mind you, but I like the existing contacts and don't look too kindly on suggestions to remove them for no gain.
But my god does the content need revamping to not be utter, utter dross. And it is. There is practically no arguement leeway there. From a mechanical and story telling perspective both Praetoria and the newest Primal content is head and shoulders above what came before.
Yes, I know some people might not like certain plots. And yes, certain mobs in Praetoria are notoriously cheaty for supposed 1-20 mobs (Proven with my level 33 blaster doing zone events and struggling against minions, ffs...)
But the delivery mechanisms are superior to Primal without question. -

"My method is right. You do not subscribe to my beliefs. You are therefore wrong."
-never makes a good, or valid, arguement. Just because someone else finds different ways to enjoy themselves does not make them any less valid, nor does it make your ways the 'right' ways.
Because there are no 'right' ways. -
Yes, please. I've never been overly fond of the huge 'air gust' effect thing that occurs with Fly and more-so hover.

and the whiners will always whine no matter what is released. Even if the developers release a major update that delivers on all the popular suggestions, adds vehicels to the game and fixes pvp there will be someone whining that they forgot to add something.

It doesn't make the 'concept won't work' standpoint any less valid. Fudging stuff is one thing, but having to put up with a character that you cannot make look right is a whole other beasty. And, in a game that is so good with customisation usually, also a tad annoying at times.
-
Quote:-perenial whiners are outweighed by people who actually give a damn and the fact that CityOf remains King of Customisation for many years to come. As it should beIf this ever happens, I imagine it'll be somewhat like Power Customisation: Paragon hires a bunch of interns, art team spends six months doing nothing but rebuilding the creator from scratch and remaking every single costume piece ever, people complain there's no new costumes in the meantime. New creator is unveiled, an entire Issue is dedicated to it. People who love costumes are ecstatic. People who want new zones/missions/storylines/systems count it as "yet another Issue with NOTHING in it".

Then why not let there be the current 'Ice and ice only' version of ice powers, and a crystaline/gem type used by the Earth powers (since 'Earth Blast' doesn't exist) which uses opaque colours, or whatever the ones for gems do at the moment?
-
They need to standardise it so that, like Acid Mortar, Poison Trap and Trip mine for MMs work atm, any 'ground only' power should fire/work when your hovering at ground level. It's stupid not being able to do the same on my AR/Ice Blaster when trying to lay an Ice Patch.
And yeah, any change to Group Fly would be welcome. -
PM Avatea, she's pretty much the Almighty Mistress of Support wrangling and problem solving.
And she's EU!

Quote:They succeeded. Now it's just a shame that Blue and Redside intros are such utter shite in comparison now.Take for example the 1-20 content in Praetoria. This is meant to be a more polished early game experience for new players, with interesting stories and writing that pulls you into the world.
Oh, is that what they were trying for? I just thought they'd forgotten how to design lowbie mobs, or let what sadistic git built the Vahzilok run that part of things. As a Veteran player, I can safely say the cheating skills of Praetorian mobs is one of the things that appeals least to me there.Quote:But they don't want veteran players to feel left out, so the difficulty of the Praetorian mobs was made with them in mind. -
Quote:Because maybe people don't want to be lumbered with Stones sub-par 1-31 run, or just don't want to play Stone? Ice armour is a perfectly good set, as are ice melee, manipulation and ice blast. Blasters, for example, don't get any stone powers, so they have no other options for crystaline based powers. Not really... the powerset is ice armor. If you want it to not look like ice, why are you making a character with ice armor? Perhaps another powerset would work better.
People have long fudged powers as things they 'aren't', like energy blast for water, fire for various things, amongst others. So why is that idea which has been supported for so long suddenly 'wrong'? -

I'm actually doing my dissertation on how much Hollywood and the industry focuses more and more on the 'New Shiny!!' and less on actual solid content and plot.
Needless to say, I think the people authorising stuff like that should be thrown out for lack of imagination and being pure money launderers. Sadly, thats the state of the world these days... -
I'd really, really like to see a 'Big Cat' version of the cat legs added in. Basically just a double sized version that are a lot thicker set, that would work better for wolf characters with the minimum of work.
(Also, the current cat legs look damn freaky on female models, but ok on Male and Huge. Same goes for all monstrous legs on female, though. Something is outta whack, imo.)
And if anything gets changed, please scale the female and huge wolf heads up a bit, they look rediculously pin-headed atm.
Thanks for taking note, Zwill!

I'd love to see an 'attack from above' option for all the of the attacks, personally. Pyronic would look even more awesome by summoning a giant fireball down on people. Same with Cryonic, summon a giant ice shard that shatters and impales everything in the radius.
Void, being a PBAoE, is a little more limited. Still looks cool though.
It's a pity Pyronic didnt have the 'death from above' vibe, then I could have passed that one off easily. Ah well... -
Quote:Bit uninspired by the Fire, Ice and Neg Energy ones. Neat but...not earth shattering.Anyone recorded a vid of the different judgment powers?
Edit: Just found it. Credits to SirJack33, the youtube user that uploaded the vid.

I highly recommend to change your pants after watching it in 1080 HD and full screen.
Damn, now I want all the fire powers to look like Pyronic judgment! We need new FX for fire, devs!
Ion, however.....yes. That's what I'm using on Alpha
Open a portal, channel energy from the moon-side station, boom. I like.
-
Quote:Hmn......that could work, actually. Having an incredibly powerful personal force field that kicks in (a la Halo: Reach's Armour Lock) and then nukes everything around him...hah, that would actually suit Alpha's style quite well... "You think you've got me? Guess again, punk!"In terms of effect art, at least, I'd say the Void Judgment could pass for such pretty well. Doesn't really explain why the nuke-crouch or why it's targeted on you, though. Or maybe it does. "Oh crap, I pushed the button, INCOMING!" *ducks*. Maybe something like that?
-
Quote:Yeah, I'll see which ones of the Judgement slots work best, I suppose...Oh don't be such a drama queen

Atleast you can still use it as your ingame explanation for Warburg nukes and you get a new AoE which hits 40 targets (mmmm huge AoE lightning...) at the Very Rare stage.
Anyone made any vids of them in action, yet? -
Quote:The 'sinking into the neck' problem looks like an anchoring issue, namely the anchor point being set too low in comparison to how the other heads and human heads sit. The size should be easy to fix, namely just scaling the part up. Having worked with 3D software before and such, I honestly don't see it being that hard. Like I said, the old monstrous heads had the placement and size mostly pat down. They just looked hideous, while the new ones look great...but do everything else wrong, sadly.Head size conceded, but was likely time constrained, they could also have run out of poly budget.
The scaling issue does for the new feet, too.
