Quote:Yes. When a Mo-iTrial Badge is awarded, you get a Rare Component drop.my question is that is there a -SECONDARY- incarnate salvage, specifically Rare, for getting the MoBAF badge? not as in the popup reward, he had said that it is "Randomly dropped into your inventory, random chance of any rare" not direct quote, but same point. An Example being, the default salvage reward at the end of every trial, if by chance i had gotten a rare drop, Would i total recieve TWO rare incarnate salvages? thanks for any replies.
Yes, this means it is possible to get 2 Rares from on iTrial run if you also get the Mo-iTrial Badge and the random table reward is Rare.
Just wanted to reaffirm the "2 Rare" scenario as possible. -
Devs are on record that creating a time-specific environment is hugely resource heavy since just about everything in the environment will have to be created new with no borrowing from elsewhere in the game and then have limited use to be used in other new zones. Which means... ain't gonna happen unless a very big deal will be made out of it (like Cimerora). IOW, there will be no one-off nostalgia settings.

Quote:This. There's always the Arena, of course. You can shut off both options for Arena matches.
Need to be specific about 'Zone PvP' for which Heal Decay and Travel Suppression can't be turned off as you can in the Arena.
But, even before I13, Zone PvP was already completely lulzy because there was no way to balance the number of people on teams. An open PvP zone is by its very definition, unbalanced and very, very, very Bad Idea.
I've been suggesting forever for those zones to be turned into PvP Tournament grounds with gated entry to balance numbers.
This.Quote:Not gonna happen. Powers devs have been working in the Time Manipulation set and in Proliferation 3.0. That leaves no development time for PVP at all.
Your only hope of Zone PvP being 'fixed' is if FREEDOM is wildly successful and as they revamp zones (as they are doing with the tutorial, Galaxy, Atlas Park, and Mercy), they revamp the PvP Zones.
Arenas are useless. Anyone anywhere can call up the Arena interface and enter a PvP event. You don't even need a terminal. And if you were going to add physical Arena meeting grounds, all you would need is the terminal, which you don't even need.Quote:Talking fo the Arena, I wonder of the one in Galaxy City will be move to Atlas? If it is, that might imply that the devs are still planning to do something new with PvP, as putting the Arena in the starting zone would draw attention to PvP for new players.

Re: Roll-Your-Own-Powersets on the Occasion of FREEDOM
When a body is delivered DOA, there's nothing you can do but to bury it. That remains true even if the circus is in town. -
Oh, a teeny tiny tidbit of new information (sonic wall nuke option).

Almost anything can be unlocked with a one-time fee except for those things which are VIP Exclusive which, AFAIK are: Incarnate content; priority queues, VIP in-game support, and maybe a few goodies locked behind VetReward 2.0.

Quote:Here is a point, for a long time before dominator domination revamp, most players said, Dominators are fine, they dont need anything, but still they were bad enough that the devs had to nearly double their damage.
Blasters are not fine, just because 8 warm bodies can do just about anything in the game does not make them fine.Balance goes off of numbers: Datamining. Blasters were the slowest levelers because they were the most dying-est of the ATs and the debt slowed them down. So, they got Defiance 2.0 to keep them from purposely skating the edge of death and so they can keep attacking while held (that's a anti-mez buff for an AT that's not supposed to inherently have one... just FYI).Quote:All balance has to be purely off the numbers.
You cant just have the dev's saying, Blasters need to be weaker because they are played by better players.
If Blasters' performance did not improve because of that, I'm sure they would be another round of buffage.
And if Blaster's were so superfluous and underperforming, how come side-switching didn't kill them off? How come there's always blasters on every PuG I'm on?
People kept predicting that side-switching would make Scrappers, Defenders, and Blasters go extinct. Are you participating in this thread because you're trying to force that boatload of failed prediction come true?
See, when you say stuff like that, which is so, very, very wrong, you make yourself very easy to ignore.Quote:There is no legitimate game balance reason for blasters to have the worst hitpoints...
Of all the ATs, 3 of the 4 melee ATs (Tankers, Scrapper, Brutes) have more hit points than Blasters. Blasters are *tied* in number of Hit Points with Stalkers. All other ATs have *less* hit points than Blasters.
Blaster do not only not have the worst hitpoints in the game, there are 9 other ATs with lesser hit points.
How could you be so wrong about something like this and then come into the forums and make such forceful statements based on ignorance? -

On any team of Stalkers, I don't want to see any AS-less chaps.

As they work their way revamping lower level zones and getting to the higher level ones, I hope they rework the GMs into a zone event (a la Praetorian zone events) and they give a nice temp power reward among other things.

I think I've heard of Tier 4s, how many Tickets do they cost?

Quote:My take on "X Set will be OP on MMs!" is this:Illusion Control does not need to be buffed for porting over to Dominators. That's not to say they won't do it, but it doesn't need it. It may in fact need a nerf.
If I were a developer, I would be extremely cautious with a couple of ports. Traps Controllers and Cold Masterminds are two. Illusion Dominators would be third.
MMs can currently team up with a Defender or two or three that has that set. This means their pets can already be buffed with the strongest version of those buffs.
Why is *that* not OP but if the MM had the weaker version of those buffs, it would be? -
Quote:Use ;whistle for Disintegration and ;howl for Obliteration warnings.A huge CONGRATULATIONS!!
And this is very good to know! I wondered why my incarnate color changes never seemed to take effect and finally just gave up on trying to change the color.
Well one possibility is also to add a whistle to the macros, so that folks know when a new line has been added, but it may also be useful to save the whistle to identify less frequently used (and perhaps more vital?) warnings.
Are there any other sound effects we have available to us besides the whistle? I don't think a boombox in the middle of the fight would work well.
And another tip: Move AM to the next terminal he's going to use to regenerate. He moves so slowly to get to it, that if you decrease that time, then you decrease the time your are Frozen and may get caught in the next Obliteration Beam.
And another tip: You can set up your binds/macros for the Obliteration Beam to show up in more than one channel. I don't know why the Virtue team insists that Broadcast *not* be used <shrug>. But for the really important Oblit Beam warning, you can in one click/button put the warning in Request, LC, and Broadcast all at the same time. -
Quote:Yeah, the text for that badge should be:In case you didn't know and abandoned the run at that point,
You don't get bunker buster until a successfull completion.
Quote:During the Keyes Island Reactor Trial, bust down all three doors on a bunker within three seconds, and then repeat for all bunkers near Reactor Infinity and then successfully complete the Trial. -

So you're the crazy pet lady that lives in the run down base down the block?

When you go Premium, ALL SLOTS BECOME LOCKED ON ALL SERVERS. Period. That's your starting point. To unlock those slots, you need Global Character Slot Unlock Tokens and they can be applied to any slot on any server whether there is a toon in that slot or whether that slot is empty. (It is not the case where the first two slots are automatically unlocked... you have to apply a Global Token to specific slots.)
So the real question is, how many Global Character Slot Unlock Tokens do you get? The answer:2 base, free Tokens for all Free and Premium accounts. That's 2 for all servers and not 2 per server.
+2 if your account was active during I12 when 2 unlocks were given out to celebrate the NCSoft purchase of CoH
+2 if you bought Going Rogue on your account before FREEDOM takes effect.
+1/Vet Year - As part of the Veteran Reward System, for every 12 months subscribed you received a Character Slot Unlock.
+X already purchased. If you paid real money for more Character Slot Unlocks, that will translate into X number of Global Slot Unlock Tokens.
========
Total number of Global Character Slot Unlock Tokens.
Note that as a Freemium account, you can purchase more unlocks with Paragon Points.

Quote:If you've been getting Vet Rewards, then, yes, you most definitely do count as a subscriber. Anyone who pays "for a month's access" is a subscriber. When FREEDOM comes, each month you pay for with a card will make you a VIP for a month with all the perqs of Veeper.I spent like 10 min looking before asking but you can snap at me if you want about it. Anyway I'm curious about us time carders, I know they don't technically count as subscribers in the account manager so it got me wondering. What happens to us in this? It would be a pain to lose my well liked lvl 50 mm and lvl 50 widow and a few others due to the permited AT thing while not being a VIP. I've been playing with cards for a while but not technically to the 3 year vet mark I read they will unlock or something with those. Will I just have to wait it out till then if Freedom is released before then or am I just worrying about nothing?

I can empathize with those who feel there is tedium in the Keyes with the same Reactor mechanic three times over because in the same day, I had two drastically different experiences of it:
In the first instance, it was a team of MoBadge hunters who knew exactly what they were doing. By the time AM appeared each time, two thirds of the reactor was already done. And in the last battle, no one was dying or getting hit with the Obliteration beam (well, not on the successful runs). So, this was speedy and fun.
In the second instance, I was pulling together a PuG of shall we say, varying degrees of skill level. We pulled through and there was no danger of failure, but it took three times as long. And there was a lot of figuring out where is AM and how can I pull him when my toon has no taunt or damage-free anchor because the Tanker on the team is lost. So, yes, that was a bit tedious.
Give Keyes time for everyone to get on board with a Standard Operating Procedure so that it can zipped through in half and hour and I'm sure you doubters will find the fun in it.
In related news, I was at a Virtue Hami Raid last night that after clearing the first bloom, everyone stayed and killed Hami ignoring the two blooms. Remember how long Hami Raids used to be? -
Immortality was transferred, but not the healing. Where did the healing go?
