Christ, yes, please fix this! Please! Major annoyance...
-
Quote:This.Personally, I don't feel that companion pets should ever be able to get lost. If they never shut down and go "You must come back to me before I will move," then it doesn't matter how far behind they fall, they'll always catch up.
Since the engine cannot physically handle stuff like 'pick up and carry the hostage' and the likes of that, which is the logical step for most villains, and even some Heroes ("Get behind me, doctor!") then having them get lost is just an annoyance. I'm not even really sure why it's still here, given it's Emertian philosophy... -
Basically, Bunny is made of win

Oh, and I reccomended this thread for stickying, too.
Me? I'm Techbot ALPHA, and you will obey me, maggots!

Quote:This is my concern too.So far the Devs have done a really great job of turning the entire "end game system" into exactly the kind of journey I'd rather avoid completely or get over with as quickly as possible. It's been about as much fun for me as dancing on a fire ant nest, and shows no sign of improvement.

So, yeah... While I agree that the journey CAN certainly be fun, it can also be a serious drag.
I love the journey. I like watching a character grow (admittedly I think the fun really begins around level 20, where they have enough powers to be a bit more anything), I like learning how to use them best, I like watching them grow In Character (all my toons are RP ones, without exception).
I like running them through some familiar content that, for me, never gets old. I enjoy running them through content on teams. I enjoy running them through content that I either forgot or hadn't yet run into.
That all ends with the Incarnate stuff so far. Thats when variety ends, and the journey suddenly starts to stagnate. Even the Alpha slot is alright; theres a variety of different TF/SFs that can be done for parts a variety of different ways, and even standard missions drop shards.
These slots? Two things only. And from the last I looked, the shard conversion rate and threads and such was atrocious, along with an honest to frag inf cost. Which is just...no. Just no. Thats not a journey, thats a grind. Theres a difference. -

Roll out the VEAT guard, and show no mercy!

Wish I could do this on Union

Quote:Quicksilver backflipped himself the right way up, turning with a slight flare to his optics.Kings Row
The Beast seemed totally impassive about hitting the large robot, it didn't think, it merely existed, though being stuck in place with that Entangeling arrow was new, it simply stood stock still, continuing it's attack pattern.
The Missle hit, while it didn't do any real damage, the creature once again flickered red and flipped over onto it's back, one leg still pinned to the ground, it whirred and groaned in protest as the legs wiggled.
"Ok...now I'm ticked," he grumbled, a few joints clicking and whirring as they were shunted back into place.
So saying he ran, transformed, drove to within striking distance of the over-turned crab, and then switched back to robot mode fast enough to propel himself into the air, aiming to come down with an elbow-slam on the giant red button beneath the thing.

You think non-control pets are bad? The ones that are meant to be controllable are arguably worse. The ammount of times those dman things disobey orders..
And I'm not kidding. Having pets frag out over the slightest things, having no 'melee' or 'range' settings or anything like that...
ALL pets need an overhaul. Period. -

To be fair White, the Seekers also actually do more damage than the Nuke, going by Mids at any rate

Quicksilver grinned at the others who were obviously attempting to engage the giant Crab-Thing.
"One of the best, girl!" he quipped, motion-racking the slide on his morph-gun. Ok, he had to admit, he showed off at times. Surely he was allowed-
A giant crab arm swung to meet him mid-skid.
"Oh, f-"
*CLANG*
A moment later, the autobot crashed into a building opposite, spider-webbing the shattered brickwork and sliding down unceremoniously to land on his head.
"-rag!.......Ow...." -

"Hmn...why don't we test that, eh? You dress up in this panda suit, and I'll clamp you with these high yield electrocondcuters? Frag, humans are so dense at times..."

Or link it into the NC Launcher so that it shows properly.
The EU servers are currently down for maintenance. Unless you believe the status page, which says that all except Zukunft and Test are Up, while the other two are Unknown.
They clearly aren't. Ergo, the status page is not working properly, because it does not show an accurate status of the servers.
Also erg, it needs to be fixed. Thanks. -
Gods, how did I forget sashes?
And aye, Aett, I think thats the thing that grates the most. While VEATs are team enhancers, Khelds feel a little parasitic at times. Maybe symbiotic, but they need a team to get any benefit from their inherent. And that just feels wrong t'me. -
That appears to be Fusion, from the new TF. Aka, Male Fusionette, partner to Jane Temblor.
So, given they use PC rigs for that, I do hope we get the parts too...David did say

Quote:Despite your later point, very few posters here have been 'yelling and threatening'. Theres been a lot of 'We are not satisfied with this' and requests for it to get looked at and hopefully changed.<snort> Yeah, we already know that. The point was that yelling and threatening a ragequit isn't productive in getting things changed. It just makes people more likely to ignore the shouter.
But none of the 'toys out of the pram' that you seem to see. -
It's the fact that Khelds 'get shields' and yet get absolutely no Mez protection outside Dwarf form, which de-toggles everything else, and then you need to re-toggle everything after... (switching into Dwarf form I mean, not being mezzed)
It's a hassle.
If Dwarf form maybe had some mild (<15%) defences and, more importantly, some debuff resistance, then that would still leave it as a preferable 'armour form', while giving Human form mag 3-4 mez protection would block most mez while not preventing stacking and attack from more powerful enemies, etc. -
Quote:Point 2 makes no sense, other than in a 'chip on the shoulder' kind of way.Regarding some of the ideas put forth:
1) I definitely think that active accounts should take priority over inactive and trial accounts, and quite probably over accounts less than 6 months old when the merge goes through.
2) I am NOT in favor of vet status being a determining factor. Honestly, I get tired of some twit invariably saying "I'm a 75 month (or whatever) vet, and..." because my knee-jerk reaction to such statements here has, by experience, become "...and no one but you gives a sh**..." I can't easily count the number of times someone's argument supporting their sense of entitlement has been prefaced by almost that exact statement. Who gets to say that a 60 month vet has anymore right of consideration than I do as a 51 month vet? Who's to say that my 51 months entitles me to anything more than a 36 month vet? One of us had the good fortune, or foresight, or what have you, to subscribe earlier than someone else, making us a "more loyal" customer? Seriously? F*** that.
And to reiterate again, my second point has nothing to do with the notion of "losing" my name to someone in the EU. I'd be absolutely FINE with the decision that it be the NA customers that take the hit INSTEAD of the EU customers. At least that would foster a more "welcome to join us" feel about the whole affair. I will NEVER support the notion that simply being here longer entitles ANYone to ANYthing beyond the vet rewards that are already part of the system.
As it is, someone who has had a global and suchnot from Beta (Note, I've not been around nearly that long) and has paid since then could lose out to someone who signed up last week/month.
When it comes to forumites wielding 'I'm a 75 month Vet!' like it's some kinda holy writ of just how right they are, then yes. You're right. It's a stupid 'I's more smarts than you!' attempt that fails miserably by making the poster look pathetic about 90% of the time.
But this isn't the same situation. First off, no one from the EU has been that particularly unreasonable here. We're just a little sick of, after seven years, still getting the short end of the stick.
'Easiest' should not factor into it. 'What can be done to please as many customers as possible' should be. In this situation, that means listening to the EU players for once, and doing something to make this suck a little less. -
They are still working on Jetpacks as a back detail option (ie on all the time). It's been placed as 'Soon'ish.
And locking something thats been asked for THAT much, behind a VET award?
HELL SMEGGING NO! -
