NPC, Pets, and FFG need swift/sprint
Personally, I don't feel that companion pets should ever be able to get lost. If they never shut down and go "You must come back to me before I will move," then it doesn't matter how far behind they fall, they'll always catch up.

Since the engine cannot physically handle stuff like 'pick up and carry the hostage' and the likes of that, which is the logical step for most villains, and even some Heroes ("Get behind me, doctor!") then having them get lost is just an annoyance. I'm not even really sure why it's still here, given it's Emertian philosophy...

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Even before Inherent Fitness it seemed that most NPC Escorts, Pets and the FFG lacked the movement speed to keep up. Please boost their speed some. I am not saying they should keep up with SS. At least give them a Swift equivillant.
BG Mode does little good if pets don't keep up, the FFG also.
