Quote:Those I find amusing if it's more than just banging on their motto. Even more so if those word balloons are tailored for the specific cutscene.Lol.
At first I thought the thread was about spamming macros during cutscenes, which is a fair past time imo.
But, I've run into a lot of people who, upon hearing, "no cutscene bombing" respond with "What's that?" even though they have seen it a few times already.
Apparently 'bombing' isn't as wide spread meme as I thought it was.
And so, Know Your Meme: Photo Bombing -
Quote:Yes.Was it seriously the intent of the incarnate systems to just be a grind? The same missions over and over again?
And No.
Yes if you want it all RITE NAO! (Especially if you're doing that for many alts.) Then you need to fill up all your gaming time running the iTrials over and over, and again with different alts.
No if you're willing to not be the most uber or not have every single unlock; or, if you're patient. Obviously, if you settle for just Tier 3 powers, it is *a lot less* work than going for Tier 4s. And if you're willing to do them occasionally rather than several times a day, you'll always get an Empyrean Merit, which is worth a lot. Running an iTrial in the Emp cool down period is not efficient use of time.
And part of the grind is that folks are still feeling out the Keyes and not running it with the high efficiency of a Speed Trial yet. A league that knows exactly what it's doing should be able to knock off a Keyes in 30 minutes. We're not there yet. -
Quote:Can you place it and it's not working? Or is it that you can't place it?I have noticed that I can use my Ouroboros portal inside my hero base but not my villain base. The only difference I can think of between the two is the type of plot - the hero base is Secure where the villain base is Hidden.
Is this a known problem? It bugs me that I can't use my O portal in my villain base.
It needs to be in a Control Room. And, you need enough Energy and Control to power it. -
Come back when you find a league with the discipline to cover everyone with stacked t4 Barrier in succession.

You are correct of course... they are ruins

- Catastrophe City
- Collapsity City

Why don't all you SRS BZNZ LULZ folk form your own global channel and play together? That way, after the "Security Team" is defeated, all 16 of you can run out and get ready to pose in the cut scene.

Did you check the other thread you started? I gave you a link to how to make it work:

Quote:There have been significant changes made in the file structures.Because of this thread, I decided to launch my Beta install for the hell of it. I got errors when I tried to update it and then when I opened it is asked to do a repair and now I have to redownload all 3 gigs worth of it again...not sure what happened.
*Anyone* who hasn't updated Beta in a few months will have nearly the equivalent of a full re-download.
And I foresee another reorganization of the files again before Live.
If you can't afford the time or bandwidth, I'd stay away from Beta until you know you have access to it. -
Well, to be fair, *at low levels* with the original five Hero ATs, a Holy Trinity does work very well and can cover each other's weaknesses and may be considered the best combo. But, they're not *necessary*. Any trio is *sufficient*.
At higher levels and with the Villain and Epic ATs thrown in, the Holy Trinity is just about as good as any other trio, and in fact, with the 'damage multipliers' mentioned above, other trios will outshine the Holy Trinity. -
I've seen some obvious and non-exploitive farms disappear within the past few months. Though, it is possible the owner of the arc pulled it.

I wouldn't kick someone who cutscene bombed Romulus or the Assemble-the-Team door sitter doing so to the Psychic Clockwork King.
-
Quote:<kick>Some people are too serious. If I get a SUPER SRS person leading a raid I will definitively dance in the cutscene.
I do kick, and have kicked, but only after warning them. [And I don't kick if they simply got caught in the cutscene running back from the hospital. Nor do I kick for spamming binds off-camera.]
(I bet you a million INF someone will /nerdrage over that statement completely ignoring the fact that I warn them first.)
I started warning the league right before we started. But then they claimed they didn't see it. Yeah, right. They saw which team was supposed to go into which lab/storehouse, but they didn't see the no-bombing warning. OK. Pretty selective instruction reading there.
In addition to warning them not to cutscene bomb, I say "first team done help the second". And each time I've kicked, there was plenty of time to help the other team... it wasn't like the other team was working on their last cache. I know I had time to jump into the other map and work on a target. But actually helping out is not the cutscene bomber's style. They want to just stand around while others work so they can showboat.
So if anyone says, "I didn't see the no-cutscene-bombing warning." Then did they also miss "Help the other team!"? That's *very* selective sight there.
So to avoid the "I didn't see the warning" lame excuse, I now recruit, "Forming a Lambda. PST. All ATs. RWZ2. No cutscene bombing." If anyone thinks I'm "too SRS" (anarchists are lulzy that way), they can simply not apply. And if they do apply and bomb, they get kicked.
Speaking of anarchists who have problems with social skills and getting along with the conventions of the league leader who was kind enough to invite them and organize their play-time: One time when I began the Lambda telling folks not to cutscene bomb, one player was all like, "Hey, why you no fun? This isn't srs bizness. this is supposed to be fun!"
OK, first of all, if this is suppose to be 'fun', why the heck are you starting an argument in an aggressive and ignorant matter? Some people like to have fun without cutscene bombing and are having fun without it. Some people are farming Emp Merits and don't want to spend another second in their thirty-fifth Lambda that week. So instead of simply asking 'why', we get that aggressive whine couched as a supposedly innocent question.
So I explained why: Spend time helping the other team and not showboating. Don't risk aggroing Marauder early. AVs have higher perception especially with the Orbs around.
So he continued the aggressive questioning.
<KICK!> <ignore ignoramus-man>
For someone who's main goal was fun, he was picking a fight over the ability to act silly. I guess acting silly is SRS BZNZ! -

Rather than changing the .bin file, the question should be: Can an alternate .bin file be placed in the /data directory *just like the other patches* that can alter a clickable element in the GUI *just like other patches* can alter the appearance of the minimap or icons in the GUI?

Quote:Actually, it's time to finish proliferating Dark Mastery to all the ATs.My main hope for dark control is that it doesn't have Tenebrous Tentacles in it but they then make a Dark mastery APP with it, so that my Ill/Cold controller can get an aoe imob/damage attack >.>
Or they could swap Soul Tentacles for dark obliteration in soul mastery and I would be happy -
Why is the Hulk in the Avengers always the Hulk and not Bruce Banner?
And why is he vaguely reasonable and under control? -

Her first video was inane. It got famous for its inanity.
Now she's trying to parley the accidental infamy into a career.... <shudder>
"Remember how you said I was nothing, well now I'm going to prove you wrong..."
Wow. What a really aggressive jerk way to start a video. That will *really* win me over!!
Yeah, auto-tuning is common. But that was *bad* auto-tuning. Close your eyes and stop being mesmerized by the collagen inflated lips and listen to the poorly tuned tuning.
Although, I will admit: Having her friend who was mercilessly teased for having no rhythm (the one sitting on the back seat of the car with her) fake-playing a guitar was hilarious.

Front loaded map with objects and spawns that have max ambushes with you personally set at */x8 means non-stop killing. AoE specialists or those highly resistant or defended against the type of damage means being able to handle it. A plus if all the foes have self-rez for x2 the kills.
Putting all this in a map labeled 'farm' with lulzy text "do you lurv tix!" will eventually get it pulled. No mission is supposed to be a 'farm'. If you make a decent but minimal story around it... it will stand. -
Quote:Well, Psy Dom gets Snipe. And Moonbeam is one of the better snipes since it has the extra long range.Oh please NO Moonbeam. I don't care if it "should" or not, just say no to snipe!
The list looks good.
I am not really sure if they would put Fearsome Stare in Assault. I can see it being under Control?
My ideal Assault is:
* Blast
* Smite
* Gloom
* Shadow Maul
* Night Fall
* Tentacle for cone immb (or Dark Obliteration for target aoe)
* Siphon Life
* Soul Drain (although I think Dom already has soul drain from epic/patron?)
* Darkstar (mini nuke version like Fortunata's)
If you put Fearsome Stare in Control, then you have to replace it in the Controller's version of Dark Miasma... so what would you put there?
Soul Drain is indeed in the Dom EPP. See the link in the OP for a complete list of all the Dark powers in all the sets. -
"Manticore breaks his bow."
NO.
Who breaks their chief weapon purposely for revenge? You *need* that weapon to get revenge.
