Quote:I don't know when it started, but before whenever it was, Ambushes would always spawn somewhere else, and then run to you. Wether they homed in or were location base didn't matter; they always spawned somewhere else, even if it was in the last room, the door to the current one, or just down the tunnel.If you want that as "Review spawn points," sure. If you want "Detect where the player is and move elsewhere," that's more problematic. (For instance, the honoree mission in the Alpha slot arc, I'll tend to run back to the start to ambush the ambushes - having them spawn elsewhere because I was "too close" would be highly annoying.)
Since, however, there have been many, many times when an ambush has triggered and it has spawned right on top of a player. Notably on the ITF for example; you're suddenly surrounded by Romans that seem to have sprung from the ground.
This makes no sense whichever way you look at it. -
Quote:Quicksilver quirked a mechanised eyebrow with a faint grin. Well, at least he had one fan already. That was new.The giant pink Assault bot landed with a heavy thud, cutting off the jets a few feet from the ground. Scanning over Quicksilver.
"Well hello handsome!"
A voice could be heard from within.
"Hey, I said talk to him Elise, not flirt with him!"
The Assault bot sighed.
"You know you're just a bit too overprotective sometimes Dad.."
"Matter at hand thank you Elise, once this is dealt with, kindly explain the situation to them."
"Heya kid. Just got a little something here-" he paused just for a moment, as the carbine transformed back to the long-barreled rail-rifle, "to deal with first. 'Cos I really don't trust the walking man-tank-thing."
And, so saying, he fired straight at the dark figure. -
Sounds good.
However, the easiest suggestion would be cutting down setup time, recharge time, and maybe even making it ranged

I understand the OPs feelings on this, especially in Praetoria.
Ambushes that;
1) Don't spawn on top of you
2) Don't auto-home like a rabid bloodhound
3) Don't auto detect through stealth
Thats not much to ask for. Especially when the ambush size in Praetoria doesn't seem to be x1 even when set to x1. It very often seems like x2. Which is not balance or a 'challenge' like debuffs are. Thats just unasked for and unneeded. -

Carnies are challenging anyway (end drain, masses of mez, psi damage and other nasty tricks) without outright cheating, which they do as well (Master Illusionists are the worst IMO)

I'd wait until level 47-50, and then use your second build for an IO monster.
And no, those two are not exclusive. An IO'd Warshade, played right, is whirlwind of destruction and pain.
You should know our mantra now;
MORE MF'ING BODIES!! -
Heh, I forgot Elec, as I sometimes do. But Dark? Really?

Stalkers always, bar Spines, get the short end of the AoE stick.
I was quite miffed when Eviscerate got changed from a Cone to an ST attack. I would have minded less if they'd given it a less stupid animation and a shorter animation time to boot. But hey. -
"Consider yourself excused," Quicksilver shot back with a faint grin, before jogging a few steps and transforming. The GT form roared and sped off down the road.
As he neared the scene, occasionally managing to catch a blip of the cloaked Ildela as he went, he began to pick up the trail the gunman had left. Something about the destruction, the apparent senselessness of it all, hit a chord somewhere inside the Autobot. Too many memories, too many stories, the fall of Cybertron and the rise of the Decepticons...too, too like this.
The autobot trooper accelerated, transforming and jumping in one fluid motion as he vaulted the line of Police cars, both devastated and still-functional, landing in a crouch with his gun, now back in carbine form, aimed at the figure.
"Yeah, second that. Drop 'em or lose 'em, pal." -
I really need to take a shot at soloing AVs with Alpha...managed a Pylon ok, so I know he can deal (steadily) with the ludicrously high HP....it's just weathering the attacks I wonder about. Hmm.

Quote:Mostly the former.I've noticed that nobody's top three changes seem to include "keep all the current costumes same as they are" or "make sure I can fully recreate any of my existing costumes, even if I'm using very old grandfathered pieces that aren't in the game anymore". Is this because everyone's assuming *of course* they could retain the same costumes, we don't even have to ask for that, or because they are okay with losing some of the old unique looks if it means getting a complete revamp of the CC?
However, I do think that a lot of the older parts need a new texture and render pass. Take Tech wired for example. I'm happy with it not being shiny. I want it to be matte white/silver for one of my characters, for example.
I'm not so happy with the fact that compared to, say, the PPD and resistance armour, the texture quality is severly outdated, pixelated and just plain bad looking in comparison.
So, yes to keeping the current pieces in. Hell to the yes. But also yes to polishing them and making them look better. And then they can allow for matte/shiny versions, which should keep most people happy. (Note most, not all

Quicksilver just stood idle, rail-rifle sat across both shoulders as he rested his hands on it, letting the humans (and others) chatter. What a bunch. This certainly wasn't the Earth from where he was.
Plus side? No Decepticons. And, from the looks of it at least, no crazy human anti-Cybertronian hit-teams looking to scrap him either.
Down side? No back up, sketchy chance of repairs, and no certain way of getting back home. And, while being the only Cybertronian left in the world might have appealed to some, all Quicksilver wanted to do was kick the breeze with those he knew and liked back home. And this place was pretty far from either.
Something else caught his attention, however, as he tuned his audio receptors slightly further away. A quick scan of the local frequencies confirmed what he thought he heard.
"Uh, that whole matter with the authorities? Yeah, they kinda seem to have their plate full at the moment," he pointed out, as his palm-projector called up the local police band, and speakers played the dispatch chatter relating to an armed gunman gone mad in the same zone, backed by the wail of sirens that was echoed from off down the road. -

I've played the game since launch and I have about twenty level 50 characters and many many alts.
The short reply to the above is;
Well done. And? -
Trust me.
Get to 47. Start IOing.
MESS STUFF UP AS A LIVING ENGINE OF DESTRUCTION! MWAUAHAHAHA-
*ahem* But yes, being the MFing WS, as Dechs guide so well shows, is so much fun. Aim for +recharge. Love eclipse. Love double Mire. Love it as EVERYTHING falls before you.
It's fun, you just need to hang in there

((Uhm...still curious as to why this is here, and not in it's own dedicated thread, if it's a whole seperate plot?))

You go fight a mob with heavy mez capability (Rikti are a agood one, with mentalists) and tell me it's not true.
What happens;
1) WS is mezed
2) WS clicks Black Dwarf form, gets mid-way through transformation
3) Same enemy or different enemy hits with another mez
4) Transformation is interrupted.
5) Go back to 1) and repeat
It's happened far too many times to be an off chance of wierdness. -
