What? Since when? The mobs have never dissapeared when running BAF for us on Union? We tend to make a point of sweeping everything, turrets included, before even thinking about going inside.

Quote:Hauling himself out of the hole, along with helping the other two out, had left MacKenzie a little red in the face."I'll take that as a yes." the Captain gave a concluding nod to the mum MacKenzie, then uncrossed her arms and turned to walk in Sarkh's direction, a snap of her fingers prompting her other crewmen to attention, the two quickly falling into line to her sides. It was all show of course, the observable signal completely redundant, but the Esertosian felt that the humans didn't need to know that. No, it was better that they felt they knew what was going on. So she kept the act up.
"Thanks for giving me a bloody chance to answer," he grumbled half under his breath, wincing as he stretched his back out.
One of the SWAT vans pulled up, but the Sergeant spoke quickly to the drive and gestured down the road. With a nod, the driver slammed the vehicle back into gear, the flotilla of vans roaring off down the road after the fleeing Autobot as, overhead, the quintet of fliers arched down to follow them, their yellow and blue uniforms now clear as those of the faceless and vigilant Paragon Protectors... -
Quote:I'm thinking they should revisit this and make the power more archtype appropriate:
Blaster = Ranged Nuke
Melee = PBAE
Defender = Major Debuff (perhaps combined with DOT)
Controller = High Level AE Hold (same)
etc.More work? No, it woulda just sucked, in my opinion anyway. Who says I (or anyone else) would want a PbAoE Judgement, just because I'm playing a scrapper? And the hell with 'major debuff' for defenders? My Emp/Psi doesn't want that. She wants a freaking JUDGEMENT power! My Scrapper, for one, will be loving the 'throwing giant fireballs' option.Quote:I definitely agree with this - AT-specific Incarnate powers should have been the way to go, in my opinion. However, it would also have meant more work, and... Well...
So, no, I'm damn glad they didn't go with that idea. Because it sounds far inferior to what we got. -
In the immortal words of every Nictus and Warshade the galaxy over;
MORE MF-ING BODIES!!! -
....not....attached to...edges of screen! /twitch
I have to stack them with my MM, but putting them right in the bottom corner causes them to switch to vertical/corner mode, which I dont want.
....
I'd also never have my power laid out like that, personally, as it would drive me mad XD -
Heh, I've got...one Uncommon roll? ALL the rest have been freaking commons, which are the least of my worries given how easy they are to get with threads
not been amused.

T'be fair, though, V has a point.
Getting from 1-50, I can do any and all of the content in game. I've been playing for nigh on three years, and there are still contacts I've never even heard of, let alone played their missions. Theres whole tracts of game left unplayed, and I can't be the only one who runs into that.
Incarnates? After the Alpha slot, theres a grand total of two things I can do to progress. Two. In the whole game. Sure, we get two more soon-ish. But thats still only four things. Whereas, once unlocked, you can play anything and make progress on the Alpha slot.
It just...grates, thats all. -
The only annoying thing with the ITF cutscene is that the music does not trigger with the cutscene. It triggers with the location.
The CS is just so less epic without the music, to the point it actually bugs me.
Wish there was some way for them to fix that =/ -
Quote:Get Teleport Power to Vanguard Staging Outpost, contained within the depths of Praetoria. Central room with portal back to primal, and large rooms off there for gathering for various trials.
Want to run for a Lambda? Go to the Lambda Briefing Area and wait around. Maybe some tactical wall images with basic hints and tips, city train map style.

Silver would have nodded. As it was, the display on his dashboard (which was significantly more advanced looking than it should have) winked and blinked lights a few times.
"Next stop, Independence Port" he shouted, pulling a sharp turn off the next junction, roaring down the road at speed, while still managing to jink and weave between traffic. -
<3 Tactics on Alpha. Just have to sit my pets on the grass verge and order em to stay/aggresive.
The buggers never bloody stay though.... -
Uhm....you do realise Requeim is a Nictus? Or, rather, he's a human merged with the Nictus called Dirge of Entropy, resulting in Requiem?
The Galaxy troops are unique to the Council because Arahkn commisioned them from the Centre. (Also insert some reason that the 5th never got them before the Council takeover way back when. C'est la vie.) -

Simply put, endgame stuff screws MMs big time. I pity those that don't have inate defences like Bots/Traps does, because trying to imagine my guy with just SOs, for example, is a very painful image.

I love nukes as well. I just think that, given the recharge and suchnot, there is no real reason anymore to keep the end crash. It's an outdated mechanic, much like the current lacklustre state of snipes.
-
Quote:RoA and Full Auto didn't have a crash last time I checkedThuderous Blast, Blizzard, Rain of Arrows and Full Auto asked me to mention that not all nukes are PBAOE.
Yes, I take them, and will continue to take and use them, even if they don't change, but some degree of change should definitely be on the table. (I'm not *as* big on taking them on a defender, short of Rad - where it really has to be either "After stuff has been damaged a bit" or "After purples" as part of a 2-3 attack chain. Otherwise, they just *can't* do enough damage on their own. Though I still do. *shrug*)
But yeah, I forgot about TB and Blizzard, true. However, the other points still hold true for them. -
Quote:The fact you seem to genuinely think this is a good idea (I think, either that or you're a good actor) troubles me.After participating in numerous Lambda and BAF trials, it seems, there is always that slow 16th or 24th player who is holding the League during queuing into trial.
I'm suggesting to make this player's name known to the League, so the rest could mock them and abuse during the trial.
Some peoples rigs aren't as fast as others. They might have tabbed out for a moment if people are faffing around getting organised. They might have someone talking to them for a second IRL.
I can't actually think of any good reasons why this should be implemented.

"Yeah, we're gone," Silver replied, engine shifting up to a higher gear than should have been possible on an earth-made car, zipping down the road. "But which way? Anyone got any better ideas of where to head?"
Behind them, and growing louder, was the wail of sirens. At the far end of the avenue, a quartet or armoured PPD vans hove into view, the white letters 'SWAT' stencilled on the side.
---
The Sergeant, whose name was MacKenzie, glowered until his mustache bristled.
"'Stupidity'? You lot blow a criminal into red paste in the middle of a street, resist arrest and then drop officers of the law into a freaking hole? And you're tlaking to me about stupidity? Damnit, now I have heard it all!"
Behind the line of cop cars, the SWAT vans sped up. And behind them, five silhoutes in the sky began to get closer. All five were flying with no visible means of propulsion and, as they got nearer, their blue and yellow uniforms and capes would slowly become clearer... -
So why would I simply not use BU-Aim-Rain of Fire-Fireball-Breath of Fire instead? Which is much less likely to get me killed AND won't drain my end to 0. sure, it won't be a spectacular one shot kill, but it's got to the point (for quite some time) where the pros of Nukes are by far overshadowed by the cons. I already know of people who don't take them (bar the crashless ones and RoA/Full Auto etc)
Fortunata's nuke has no crash...and thats clearly not broken. -
-
No, no it wouldn't.
Locking costume parts behind level 50 content is the most wonderfully spacked-up move they could possible make, even worse than locking Kheldians and VEATs at level 50 way back when, because at least then you only had to do it once (per Hero and Villain), and then you could use them.
IF they were unlocked account wide, maybe it wouldn't rankle so much. But if anything that ground-breakingly sense-making were actually done, I would happily eat my own hat.
Someone else would have to pay for ketchup though... -
For Techbot Alpha, my Bots/Traps main;
Alpha: Musculature. Shard crystals use in lasers for an even more potent kick, upgraded weapons systems using even higher calibre and all that military jargon. TL;DR? More dakka. Lots more dakka.
Judgement: Ion. While I didn't get what I hoped for, in that none of the Judgement powers could be passed off as an Orbital Barrage (
), plot for Alpha ended up with him having a merger with his moon-orbit railcannon platform, Reason.
So now he can actually throw pure bolts of energy. All that kit had to go somewhere.
Interface: Reactive. -Res is always good, and works well for high powered lasers slicing through whatever armour people have. Oh, and plasma burns. They hurt too.
Lore: Warworks. Or, rather, hard-light constructs that look like and attack like Warworks robots, doing some quite considerable damage. More after effects from the Reason-merger.
Destiny: Barrier. Because you cna never have too much def and res, especially on an MM.
