  2. Macesters.

Blasting Maces. We already have it with Arachnos Maces. A weapon that blasts and bludgeons. Vanguard Swords that shoot light. Magic Hammers that shoot... electricity. Bayonets.

    Best part: no redraw.

You can steal many of the animations from other sets and just limit it to special weapons that look like they do more than one type of combat.
  3. Since all points in the Universe are equal valid points to be considered the center of the Universe, then we're not moving at all. Nothing moves.

    Take *that*, Xeno!
  4. Ummm... Devs, you can't use Praetorian Duray as a contact in Talos for a Seed of Hamidon Event. The folks in the game world in Paragon would never accept P-Duray hanging around handing out jet packs after what he did to Skyway.

Well, if all the henches worked together on it, we could keep him in the dark.

I'm fully convinced it was an unintentional leak.

    Has happened before.
  7. Zombie Man

    Best Buff's?

I'd rather have a Kin on my team over an Empath.
  8. The Riddler.

And I'd keep removing or changing the clues he leaves behind.

"You really bested Batman this time, Riddler. He failed to decipher your riddle and we're free to rob this bank in peace!"
  9. If you're running low on Influence, go into Options and turn on Earn Double Inf while Exemplaring* and then run the Death From Below sewers trial**.

*Exemplaring is running at a lower level mechanically than your actual level.

**Click on LFG (Looking For Group) on the top of your chat window, click on 'Death From Below' and then Join Queue.
  10. 1. Wait til I21 launches because of this:

Epic and Patron Power Pools adjustments
    • Tier 1 or 2 Powers are now available at level 35
    • Tier 3 or 4 Powers are now available at level 41
    • Tier 5 Powers are now available at level 44
    2. Figure out a new build once this change has been incorporated into Mids.

    Ummm... No.

While no system is perfect, the amount of RMT spam in CoH has been cut back dramatically over the past few years.

I don't want anything done to undo what has been put in place, especially not simply to please players who haven't spent a dime to support the game.

Originally, a single boss was designed around 3 players.

    An ArchVillain for 8 players.

A Giant Monster for 3 full teams.

Power creep over seven years have altered that a little bit.

But the point is that if a bunch of newbie players with little game knowledge (e.g., don't know about how to leverage -Regen) and inefficient slotting (six slotted Brawl) decided to pile on a Giant Monster and just mash buttons (Gale! Gale! Gale!)... they better have 3 teams.
  14. The Shard TFs are epically long and there would be a player revolt if they were included despite the fact that a handful of players might like it.

The requirement for exactly 8 teammates with no disconnects for the Caverns of Transcendence makes using that problematic.

As mentioned above, Hess and Hannon are contact chain locked and would cause all sorts of angst over, "why won't the contact talk to me!"

The Ouroboros TFs are not really TFs. They're just a mission-arc using TF-mode as if it were a Flashback.

Now, the Abandoned Sewers Trial... as much a people hate it and it's very failable with a PuG... I'd like to see that thrown in the mix. It would force people to learn how to actually do it successfully and well.

Dark Defender farmin it old school. For the ambush MA farms, it's the same thing only with the crowd constantly replenishing itself (and no worries about mezzers) in a tighter, more controllable hallway.

The current high unemployment levels that we see have nothing to do with a major tech advance, it was caused by economic manipulations.

Tech advances do indeed mean some jobs become obsolete, but they just as much open up new areas of employment.

Rather than structure our hypothetical New Society on low tech to ensure that certain jobs are never made obsolete, we'd be better off investing in vocational schools that teach people how to work in the newly created professions that technological advances create.

  19. Praetoria Zone Events
Live events in Praetoria in which your character can participate and choose which side to help.

After an Event is completed, the next event will begin in an hour.

An Event Window will pop up on your screen when you are in the area of an event.

    • The Protest (Nova Praetoria): The angry citizens of Praetoria are staging a protest in Nova Praetoria. Will you join them or shut them down?
To start, take down 6 Protesters to get the event sided with the PPD. Or, take down one Seer to get the event sided with the Protesters.

Located: -4040 33 115. The statue of Mother looks down at the little square, take the red brick path just 100 yards from her. 200 yards NW of the Train Station.

    • Syndicate Takedown (Imperial City): The PPD has found a cell of the Syndicate in the Agilecorp building. The two forces are at a standoff at the base of the building. If you hurry you can capture one of the Syndicate's leaders.
You can't choose sides. This is an anti-Syndicate only event. Stage 1 is on the street. Stage 2 is in an office map (still on the Imperial City Map, not an instance). Stage 3 is on the roof of the skyscraper.

When in the office, you can progress to the rooftops through the elevator once you defeat enough Syndicate. Setting the three bombs and defeating the named bosses aren't necessary, but will speed things up. If bosses aren't defeated in the office, they show up on the roof.

Located: 210 -44 -1537 (Exit Studio 55, make a left and it's where the road bends left, 240 yards west of Studio 55; 220 Yards NNW of the Aureas neighborhood maker).

    • The Great Escape (Neutropolis): One of the Failed Experiments has remained lucid and sane, and appears to have the ability to influence other Ghouls. Informants say he is eager to aid the Resistance in its war against the regime. Will you aid him in his escape? Or will you hunt him down now that he has escaped?
Defeating a Ghoul puts the event on the side of the PPD. Defeating a PPD puts the event on the side of the Ghouls.

Stage 1 is in the square. Stage 2 is in an office map and underground map if on the side of the Ghouls. Stage 2 is in underground maps if on the side of the PPD. (All maps are in Neutropolis, they are not instances.)

Located: 2970 -70 160. 260 yards SW of the Neuron's Reach marker and 300 yards NW of the Train Station.

    Zone Event Rewards

Rewards for participation in the zone events will be based on the amount of participation, and not just damage done -- (de)buffing and heals are tracked. By some unknown metric, you will be given either the Top Tier or the Lower Tier Reward Table upon completion.

    Top Tier Reward Table
    :
    • Badge: All three have one badge associated with them, regardless of which side you help.
    • Random SO/DO/TO
    • Reward Merit (1 for Nova; 2 for Imperial City; 3 for Neutropolis)
    • Random Tier 1 Invention Salvage (Rare)
    • Random Invention Enhancement Recipe (Common)
    • Information Bonus
    A level 50 gets 25,000 information and 344 prestige.
    • Two Random Medium or Large Inspirations
    • Special
The Nova and Imperial Events have a Temp Power:
    • Molotov Cocktail: Nova, Targeted AoE Fire, DoT(Fire)
    • Flashing Steel: Imperial, Melee (Cone), Superior DMG(Lethal), Foe -DEF(All)
The Neutropolis Event also has two possible emote rewards:
    • ;ghoulflex - for helping the Ghouls. You stand hunched over huffing hard and occasionally shake as if in pain (See Marty next to Hatchet)
    • ;tantrum - for helping the PPD. The same wildly shaky death throes of a Ghoul writhing on the ground.

    Lower Tier Reward Table
    :
    • Random DO
    • Information Bonus
    A level 50 gets 25,000 information and 344 prestige.
    • Random Medium or Large Inspiration
  20. Do you have all the SG badges?
  21. Methinks they're dipping into the well of masked automatons a bit too often.
  22. You'd need a real Renaissance man or woman to skip several hundred years of civilization advancements if you're starting with modern but ignorant-to-modern-civilization humans.

Besides technological advancements, you'd also need sociological, political, and economic knowledge of modern systems. Could you organize folk into self-sustaining communities that are also self-policing as well as you could build houses and factories? Do you know how to run a central bank as well as mint coin? Can you effectively teach the teachers to effectively teach the children? Do you know how to run a farm and store the excess for times of famine? Do you know how to keep the town you built on the river for water resources from being destroyed in a flood? Do you know how to get different human groups (families, tribes, towns, regions, and states) to work cooperatively and not all for themselves? Do you know how to get them to do what you say at all?

And yeah, I could do all that.
