If your moving from Freedom... all I can say is BYYYEEEEEEE!!! I will not be moving from freedom, as it has been my home since I came into the game 2 yrs ago. Unfortunatly - a lot more people see Freedom as their "home" and will be refusing to move, then people who say - OMG! i can't stand it!

As for your suggestion that freedom is full of, I believe the word you used is "smacktards"... You tend to see more of it BECAUSE of freedom's higher population.

The reason, as was touched on previously, that freedomites believe that freedom is going to get MORE populated is because freedom has the reputation of not only being "The" PvP server- but also the "official PL server" and the best server to find a team. If you don't think there is a problem with freedom as is- go and try to play during peek playtimes. You will soon be crying different tunes.

I suggest that every other server make an advertising slogan as to why people should move to their server, because every1 seems to think that their server has more to offer then the other. I believe that the people of freedom will digress in this competition. Unless you wanted to see something like ~ Freedom, Come for the teaming- Leave with a disconnet from DB server!

this week-- i would like to issue praise to the scoop-- they did a very fair and balanced coverage for each of the servers- and while i still think its mostly fluff-- it was interesting fluff this week. good job

While the people who put it together weren't around early on a Sarurday morning, I did some looking and some poking around, and it looks like:

When they put up a list of events in the Scoop, they go by the event calendar. If someone didn't flag their thread for the event calendar, it probably got missed. As of this morning, Even though Rose has a thread for the event in the Event forum, it wasn't flagged to show up on the calendar for the date I saw. Even still, there is plenty of time to get it into next week's Scoop. Whether it happens or not I can't say. Personally, just because of the tone of the one remaining reply, not to mention the ones that had to be deleted for being total flamebait, I would vote no. It's probably a good thing that it isn't up to me what goes in that section.

Do you actually need permission to post something that's obviously been advertised? So you pick n choose which server events you are gonna post? And how many of them who believe they are, and believe they're getting ignored, just aren't known outside of their circle?

What standards should be used for selection, for determining who had "done somethign" for the community? PLd the most people? Gave away most INF in costume contests? RPd the same character consistently the longest? Some people might find those to be *highly* important criteria - while others may shrug and go "Yeah, so?"

Do you really think anything close to a criteria that makes everyone - or even a majority - happy can really exist? All the CS folks can do is dip into the various communities on various servers and see what names they get.

am i famous? yes & not just here on the boards for my mouth that just wont quit.. if you walk into freedom, and you get in PI i garuntee you that at least 7 outta 10 people know my name. why? have i ever played with all these people?? nope- not even close--i try to stay in my own lil SG world and within my friends list.. but how do they know me? cuz i have lead the hami raids on freedom for the last however many months & one way or another people have either talked to me, i have done something for the community & people remember that-- it was funny-- i was on my blaster b4 she hit 50... and i was teamed with a PUG and some1 whisperd to me... are you THE ROSE? you know the one that leads raids??? i was like uh, yea.. they were like cool. and went on their way...
is this fame? i guess... did i ask for it.. nope-- i lead the raids cuz i enjoyed the sense of community. not so i could get some big head and think that im all famous.

i guess my point is-- people don't ask to become famous- it seems to happen... like o, lets say Lord Nikon.. you ask ANYONE in atlas on freedom, who Lord Nikon is-- and they will tell you -- hes that guy that stands around in atlas & helps us out when we are in trouble or if we had questions... and beings that the BTM features people on their different servers-- i don't think the fame test has to be done outside that home server? do you?

Like it or not Hertz- even tho you aren't getting paid for the work that you do - you represent something larger then yourself. ya know-- i saw this last nite b4 i went to bed.. and i was just like o.0 then i went into the .... and really didn't know what to say that i could help with his feelings of being i dunno, drowned in negativness. then i had an epithany (lol - those don't happen a lot --- so watch out) ....

look - there is a limited number of "famous" people on servers-- i had 5 people yell out 5 of the same name to me almost at the same time when i was on lol, protector- that tells me - well this person has done something. make a list. send your questionierre to all of them- if they have forum accounts. if not track them down- and do the interview one on one. ask em if they want to participate- if they do- great if not- fine. give em a couple of weeks to respond (i am sure that most people could complete your questions in less then a day) this will give you ample material to choose from- and if you want to go futher- then go further with them.. contact them in game- be like can you elaborate on #4? you know - its really not that hard to get people to talk to you and let you know what their opinions are-- its just the patience in the response. i really don't think that picking people at random is the answer here

i got home from work- thread was locked--- few comments.. non flame worthy i hope...

1. hertz--- your on... i will try to come up with a piece for the next publication- that is tastefully written & on one of the issues mentioned on the freedom thread. whether you decide to publish or not will be up to you and your editors

2. what am i looking for in the behind the mask? interesting people that have done something for the server or have been around for a long time "famous people" as it were... (and hey lemur-- not ONCE did i ask to be interviewed for the behind the mask)
