Apparently, Kevin Bacon was in the first Friday the 13th.
And Alyssa Milano was in Commando. -
I was thinking about rolling up an Illusion Troller ("Wow, five pets!"); started Midding up to see what I would need to keep them perma and then the same "Wow, X pets!" dilemma that I had with Dark, Fire and Plant cropped up:
Is it worth the effort when I could just roll up an MM?
What say the forumites?
TIA. -

Quote:This may be a way to (ahem) test the waters for the long-awaited Carp Melee set. A Fish-Slap temp power, perhaps?
Also: obligatory.
...a fish-slap to the face if we don't get one... -
The change means that I'll probably be rolling more Blaster sets that I'll actually take and use the nukes for; that's going from a 0.0 damage scale to a 4.0 damage scale for me.
So, IMO, its all win (reduces my 'crash watch' by one when using Electrical or Force Mastery) and makes my PPF 'pop' tactics more viable. -
I went with Ehmi B'hk (Amoebic) after wrestling with a host of single cell organism/petri dish playoffs.
On Beta, I used Black Gold. -

Quote:Any chance of 'fixing' Flurry while you guys are at it? (make it an AoE, have it give a small +Def bonus... something?)Fun factoid we didn't mention in the Coffee Talk - Boxing, Kick, and Cross Punch also grant bonuses to your Brawl as well. They're just thematic/easter-egg-y, but they are fun. If you have either Boxing or Kick, your Brawl has a 10% chance to proc a Recharge and ToHit debuff on its target. This debuff is double strength if you own both of those powers. If you own Cross Punch, your Brawl also has a 10% chance to proc a Regen and Recovery debuff on its target.
On the Presence note, you mention the single-target Taunt becoming a single-target ranged Placate, but Unrelenting is the new tier 5 power in the set, and it's also pretty cool. Using it gives you a moderate Heal over Time, a moderate Recharge bonus, a moderate Damage bonus, and a moderate Recovery bonus. Additionally, you can use it while defeated, restoring a moderate amount of health and endurance to you if used in this manner.
Can we get Brawl to be tied into all of the pool attack powers: Jump Kick, Air Superiority, Flurry and (possibly) Spring Attack? -

Nuke + Burnout + Nuke = yay!
60sec nukes = 60sec Assassins! -
Quote:I can live with that being that I use both primarily for damage. Changes very little for my Fire and Plant/Storms; still usable as a saftey net to back up my -kb powers. So for those who missed the Coffee Talk it sounds like a decision has been made. Bonfire and Tornado will have their chance to deal knockback reduced if they are slotted with the knocback reduction IO. For Bonfire the change to deal knockback will be about 40%.
So it'll still deal only knockdown but it will only deal it 40% of the time instead of every tick (this is roughly comparable to powers like Earthquake and Ice Slick which have a lower proc chance but tick more frequently).
Won't have to move it out of my Fire/Earth after all. -
managed to score the proc for 60mil.
The other one was too pricey to haggle for; especially when the event runs for another 20 days. -
Quote:I'm assuming you're talking about in solo play; in teamed play the benefits increase as the team/league size does.Well, compared to a normal damage proc, the Achilles proc will go off exactly as often (20% chance, and in a Rain power it gets a chance to go off every 10 seconds). So really, we can just compare the effect of the Achilles proc to the ~72 damage you'd get from Positron's Blast (or whatever else).
So, what conditions have to be true for Achilles' Heel to be worth more than 72 damage? It increases the damage the target takes by 20%, or one-fifth, for 10 seconds. So you need to do >360 damage, before counting the debuff, during those ten seconds for the proc to add >72 damage. A level 50 minion only has 431 max health, so against minions you will roughly break even at best (360+72 is all the health a minion has), and if the minion survives past the end of the debuff, or if the minion is not at full health when the debuff is applied, you're already behind.
Higher-ranking foes have enough health for the Achilles proc to break even or do better than the damage proc, but not by much on Lieutenants (although this depends somewhat on circumstances; if you/your team deal high enough damage to consistently wipe out all the Lieutenants in <10s from full health, Achilles does start to look pretty good), it's really mostly on Bosses and above that Achilles shines. And you can get a lot more opportunities to proc against bosses by putting the proc in a fast single-target attack than an AoE power that generally has a much longer recharge.
Edit: I suppose "not worth using" is an exaggeration, but it's not nearly as amazing for most AoE uses as it is for single-target. -

Speaking of concepts:
My /Traps is utilizing the blast as fast replicating single cell organisms contained, sustained and delivered by a nanotech based system.
My /Fire calls it the 'Soul Stream' (aka 'Liquid Soul'; coloring both primary and secondary completely black) -
I have my Water/Fire Blaster and my Water/Traps Corr.
I really like seeing Whirlpool scourge mobs and I'm liking the feel of it moreso than on my Blaster.
My Blaster loves having so many AoEs to choose from but I still like my Dark/Fire better... so far. Endurance is definitely going to have to be managed.
Graphics are nice (and maybe they'll re-evaluate the palette lockout for Ice powers; being that this is full access)
I like having the heal attack for both toons.
Overall, IMO, not a bad set... I'm just hoping I can stack Whirlpools for my Corr. -
Quote:Probably had something to do with the supposed transition of the 'original' water blast to what we know as energy blast. And my point remains that I don't understand why so many people have spent so long insisting so vehemently that their gaming experience somehow wasn't complete without this very specific, conceptually-narrow, and fairly-uncommon-in-the-genre (even Mousedroid's list include Iceman as a "water control" character on page 1. Technically true, but still kinda reaching) powerset.
Italicized words are italicized for emphasis, by the way. And I only put one in this whole post. My question is not why we got the set. I understand there was a great deal of demand for it. My question is why it was in such high demand.
Maybe its a closure thing. -
Aqualad from the Teen Titans cartoon.
Fathom from the Elementals.
Fathom (Michael Turner's). -
Well golly gee willickers... they are!
(never mind then) -
Can we get the Paragon Market and Paragon Rewards buttons converted from UI clutter into Power Tray icons?

Quote:I'm not sure what level has to do with it and I'm sure I've already touched on your request somewhere down the line but I'll clarify.Personally, unless we get some 26th lvl troller or dom to tell us if this combo turned day into night, made the earth quakes, had posion arrows falling from the sky, and the pillers of Heaven shake... I still having problems believing this whole broken theory.
So lets see some evidences.... and not from your 50th, because with all the Incarnate stuff going, not sure its going to be a fair test.
I do have this slotted into a level 28 Fire/Earth Dom; I ignored Cages so I could leverage Enhanced Bonfire and the KD from /Earth without issue.
Solo; I've only run her down the coast of Sharkhead so far. On anything that didn't have some kind of Flight, the lockdown occurred; even on Bosses (like Hellfrosts). Sky Skiffs, Wing Raiders and Spectrals got caught from time to time but they seemed to be able to attack through and leave the patch. It seemed that Pantheon Masks were mostly unaffected.
Freakshow rezzing gave them a couple of seconds of flee time before they returned to lockdown status.
Eradication was at my discretion; limited only by my patience (or lack of) and my endurance bar.
If I were on any kind of a team and could ensure they didn't KB them off the patch [or apply -kb powers]; we would've cleaned house in very short order.
The 2 second cycle is a bit much.
Maybe applying an across the board effect suppression, by rank, to critters (minions having the shortest suppression time; bosses and above having the longest).
It would be worth it to note; that (because of the proc; if its proliferated enough) play could be dumbed down (in most cases); no need to heal, rez or buff (outside of damage, recharge and +recov/end).
