  1. Last night, when logging in I got a window (ingame) that stated the global emails could now be claimed regardless of alignment (red or blue side) and hero/villains could also do trades now. (it said it was in preparation for GR)

So I just tried emailing my villain some influence...it's not acceptable coming from blueside.

And it should be, according to the popup from last night.
  2. I'm not sure I get this.

But to be honest, WW worls fine. Look up the recipe and you can pull up a list in hte WW window of all the ingredients it needs and bid on them.

WW is much easier to use these days, and I'm one of the people who mastered it. I have over 6 billion in sales that I've had to email to other characters on my account just to empty my window.

If it's a space consideration, why not "Rechg" (which has the same number of characters as "Haste")?
It's been like that since the software first came out, and this is the first time I saw someone confused by it.
  4. I'm of the personal belief that if a tank is built for missions (not for farming or PVP) on teams, then the tank should have taunt.

Taunt, even without a damage proc, can be a useful tool for a tank, and it can be used very effectively...if you practice at it, you can even use it to single pull from a group of mobs (I've done it).

To me, a tank that teams for missions that doesn't take taunt is a selfish tank...thinking only of him/her self.

When I tank, I use it to constantly pull mobs away from teammates, and I tab through foes to spread it out, since there is an agro cap.
  5. I had to reformat my machine, and I previously had this setup...but lost it.

I need to create the shortcut that skips the patcher window (eliminating hte need to verify files when we DC). Can anyone give me the shortcut target info again?
  6. This happens to me, but to be honest I figured it was due to a dirty keyboard.

Mainly because, in the past, whenever I take my keyboards apart and clean them, the issue goes away.
  7. QUESTION:
If we prefer to manually renew our subscription each month, will our emails disappear?

Even then, it seems like a bit of a hassle to put in a prompt that is going to be at best a pointless hoop to jump through 99% of the time, just to cover a 1% worst possible contingency.
They could always make the power icon under our health bar right-clickable so we can deactivate it that way.

Me, I don't like the solution? I'd just ditch the penalty, tone down the benefit, and so on. But the choices have been made.
Personally, I think the bonus and penalties are so low that they don't even matter.

Sort of like the "Buff" pet given through vet rewards.

    Now that is disfunctional math.

FYI, 20% of 10,000 experience (for tough mobs) is more like 2,000 experience lost.

Let's all keep in mind that Devs don't have to discuss these changes with us at all, nor do they need to detail them for us. They do it because they care about the player base, as a whole, as more than just revenue generators, an uncommon practice with most MMORPGs and certainly rare for one walking towards it's 7-year mark.
In all fairness, when it comes to AE, I think ALL changes should be announced.

    Why?

Because in the process of nerfing exploits, they usually "break" other arcs and the designers have no idea.

As an aside, I would have been fine with the mag 53 if the lgtf were given a much higher merit reward (maybe 35 to 40 merits?). What ever happened to risk VS Reward?
I wouldn't call it "hypocrisy" when it was forced.

Not so. Exploit fixes are NEVER posted in the patch notes.

I know of at least 2 IO duplicating exploits that have been fixed over the years and no mention was made of it...and really, there was no need.

    Deleting SG

I don't think you should delete it or give it away UNLESS you were the original founder of it. Otherwise, just quit the thing and let whoever else logs on worry about it later.

Or, if you know who the founder of the sg is, and that person is still in it...you can kick everyone else, then quit so that only the founder is left.

Keep in mind, there is also a good chance that a kid formed it and school is just letting out, so they might be back.

That's right. For those of you who don't remember (I know a lot of you do), back before I6 we had no bases. No zone teleporters, no med bays, no storage, etc. We were used to it and it didn't bother us overmuch.

Then along rolls I6 in conjunction with the release of CoV. Suddenly SGs can have all of those neato things. Only 1 problem... you couldn't enter your SGs base (yes, the one that YOU were earning Prestige for) unless you owned CoV.

So your SG builds a base with your hard work and is really excited about it. Its the new toy and as such it is just SO cool! And you sat outside... and sat... until you bit the bullet and payed for ANOTHER GAME (CoV).
While this was true in the beginning, I think it would be remiss if we didn't mention that eventually, the Devs gave...that's right...they gave...the City of Villains content to everyone.

And I've been playing since Original Beta, so I remember...and getting around was a total frustration beck then...it bothered everyone. That's why Cryptic added the base beacons and hte devs have since added other travel options (Ourosboros Portal, WW TP Power, etc.)

So is flooding my personal items inventory when I want a particular gun case or poster.
Sorry, been gone almost a week because my power supply went out...and then I reformatted my system because it had been a while, lol.

You bring up a good point though. One suggestion I could make toward that is they add those items to a different tab in our personal items, and mark them as "non-invented" items or something? Maybe that way they would not give us that popup window.

The only other option would be to remove the confirmation window completely...or to give us the option of turning it off, which would make me very, very happy as well.
  17. Well said, Electric.

My power supply went out and being poor, I had to dig through boxes to find a working one...running on a 480 watt right now (eek).

So I haven't been on to reply in this thread.

Here are the types of opinions I see in this thread:
    - Total Overhaul
    - Just add some easy items from the game and a few new features
    - Shutup for fear of nerfing
    - We PVPers deserve attention more
    - Make more lists
    - Be nice about it when asking
    - Don't bother, it'll never happen

    I don't think I missed anything...if I did point it out and I'll edit.

As I've said above...I actually do not need a whole issue to make me happy. I would be happy if they just added 1-3 items to bases that are already in the game (so the rendering is already done, it's a simple matter of pathing and pricing), say, every issue or every 2 months...and maybe a new feature here and there.

For example...adding textures to the bottom of things like floor tiles would be good, or adding the feature of being able to rotate objects with more control.

    Simple thing to add really.

In base items are not hard either. Want a Trainer that sells or buys items? They are stationary and already in the game...heck, make it a bartender if needed. Or a simple Trainer in red and white.

Want computers like we see in tech control rooms that can be placed in any room? Easy. Just remove the restrictions. They don't have to actually work...it's decor.

Want water? It's already placed in pool form throughout the game. Just add it to the editior.

Want taller steps? Shoot, in RWZ they have metal steps that lead to rafters. Ramps that lead up 3 floors or more.

It's all there in the game. It's already pathed for the game. All they have to do is decide on pricing and placement rules in the editor. Not a huge challenge.

Tech, for example, has been hugely ignored. It's got far fewer options than arcane.

My best suggestion outside of this is a booster pak for base builders. This pack could be $10 and contain the Arachnos base items, along with tons of stuff from the game. And it could be tied in with the badge/personal items interface for placement...just like the vet reward items.

I would gladly pay for a base booster pack...and I suspect many here would as well. That way the devs turn a profit and can justify spending time on it.

    I agree.

Train_Wreck, you have a great future in base design. Keep doing it and you'll find that everytime you try something new...you learn from it.

And nothing wrong with trying out ideas you see here on the forums either. Copying peoples stuff is a great way to learn how it's done so you can come up with even better stuff.

    Nicely done.
  19. Some P2P programs now interferes with the launcher and login screen...since i17.

So does uTorrent. If she is running one at the time she tries to launch the game, that could well be the issue.

Took me a day and a half of screaming at my computer before I figured that one out.
  20. I have been searching for 2 days now. Kelly Nemmers gave me the " Repel Fir Bolg from Misty Wood Defeat 10 Fir Bolg" mission, and there are none inside of Misty Wood...at all.

I see plenty of Tuatha de Dannan. No Fir Bolg.

They are supposed to take the form of trees at times...but every one of the trees I've found have been devouring earth.

There are plenty of Fir Bolg where the buildings are...but unfortunatley they don't count.

Is this a bug in the placement of the Fir Bolg, or am I missing something? I never had this problem in the past.

Mods, you can delete this thread...they come out at night...duh
  21. Here's a great one, and it would help many:

Notice "Choose None" on the bottom right? That would make the glass transparent and remove the logo from items. A big plus.
  22. Allow all base items to be placed in all rooms, even if they do not function.

For example, placing a Supercomputer in the Telepad room:

This would allow for some nice additions to tech bases. In the above example, the SG Computer doesn't even have to do more than light up...of course, my example is a very rough photoshop example. But imagine what we could do if the Room Bounding laws were dropped, for placement onle (not functionality).
  23. Larger Entries:

Would be nice to be able to place a storage bin in the entry as well...just one would make me happy.

    Well said, BlueTurbo.
