  1. Continuing to heal the heroine, Fi remarked more to herself than anything "I've noticed". As she was pouring her mystical healing energy into the injured body more wounds were apparently springing out of nowhere. Unable to guess the extent of the newly appearing wounds, the demon was unwilling to pour all of her energy into what ultimately may be a futile healing effort.

"hospital it is". With a cautious movement, Fi picked up the fallen heroine and with a blink, they were both gone.

((Thanks for setting the scene Inf, It's been fun ^^))
  2. "At least a rifle is replaceable"
Looking over to Sam as she fell, Lady Stormcrow kept her expression as deadpan as she could whilst speaking to Infinitron "Um..you don't have any siblings who in the same line of..work do you?". Dismissing the thought she turned to where the other hero lay with a final remark "either way, it might be useful for you to watch the footage taken by our enterprising young journalist, wherever she went"

with a quick walk, she covered the distance to where sam lay and placed a hand gently upon her stomach, extending healing magic throughout the heroines body, working on her broken legs and other more superficial wounds.
  3. After healing those with the worst apparent injuries, Lady stormcrow once again came to where Infinitron was lying. She gave him a reassuring smile "How are you feeling? Can you move?"
  4. Still shielding her eyes from the explosion, Fi watched the events unfold. Turning to the bow wielding hero she raised an eyebrow.
"You don't..um.. see that everyday. That purple fellow turned out to be quite the 'deus ex machina'. He must be in a bad way, fell further than I did"

With a cursory glance to the crater in which she saw him land, she continued "There was something about him that seemed familiar, I can't put my metaphorical finger on it"

With a sigh she turned towards the smoking buildings and injured civilians. At a small gesture of her hand rain began to fall, joining the shrapnel that fell from the sky and beginning to put out the fires caused by the bombs. There were a lot of injured that required her help.
  5. ((Right, last attempt to make coherence out of the mess that Beet and I seemed to have caused ))

Concluding that Infinitron appeared to be stable, for now. Lady Stomcrow looked up to see the ship beginning it's fall again. Unsing the senses her heritage granted her, she followed the source of the magical energy from a moment ago to a man frantically battling the rikti with a golden scepter. Teleporting to Underthrow's side, she summoned a polarised electrical field that threw bolts of electricity at the invaders. Adding her own attacks to these, she frantically fought to give the magic practitioner some breathing space.
  6. On the cracked pavement, the prone figure of Lady Stormcrow lay where she had landed, surrounded by fragments of concrete. After a moment, a soft green glow encompassed her body, as magical runes ran across her skin. The ruined mess that was her chest began to reconstruct, bone and muscle reconstituting themselves. She shuddered, starting to breathe again. Her eyes opened and glowed with their usual intensity.

She sat up tentatively. Looking down she noticed the renewed state of her upper body and, with a blush, the lack of cover. Holding an arm over herself for modesty's sake, it took but a moment to teleport a new set of combat gear in, and enshroud herself in mist while she remedied the ruined state of her clothing.

A moment later, she stepped forward. Regarding the battle in the sky she surmised that is was beyond her small telekinetic abilities to stop the dropship's fall, she'd have to trust in the Heroine that had launched herself at it.

They needed all the help they could get, even with the slowing of Rikti, she'd never get all the people clear in time. With a haunted look at the civilians around the area, she flew as fast as she could to Infinitron's still form and began to assess his condition.
  7. Wincing as the blasts from the dropship's guns reached her sensitive ears, Lady stormcrow looked around just in time to see infinitron hit the building. Noting the salvo of cannon fire heading their way she hoped Infinitron's suit had cushioned his fall enough while she concentrated on the more immediate problem of the dropship.

With an upwards glance, she took off, executing aerial maneuvers and short-range teleportation as she attempted to draw the dropship's fire from the streets below. It appeared to be working until a lucky cannon blast caught her in the chest. The protective spells that the demoness had erected caught most of the blow, but the rest was still enough to do significant damage.
Crying out in pain, her flight continued for a few seconds. Looking up at the dropship, she started to fall. Knowing that she had to do what she could to aid the other heroes while she was still conscious, she weakly raised a hand towards the dropship.
    "Let's see....how good...your flying is..."
The pilot of the dropship looked at the console in alarm as all the atmospheric warning lights came on at once, it was as if a hurricane had suddenly sprung out of nowhere.
..Which is exactly what had happened, A localised area of extremely high winds around the dropship.
Looking up with a small smile of satisfaction, Lady stormcrow fell towards the street below.
  8. Satisfied that Steve was safe, Lady Stormcrow reappeared in the fray in an instant. She glared at the heavy assault suits and spoke, her irritation clearly showing on her face as she punctuated her sentences with lightning bolts.

"I've *KA-CRACK!* had *KA-CRACK!* enough of you god-damned *CRACK!* Rikti *ZAP!* In this god-damned *CRACKLE* city."
The last of the sentance heralded a blinding bolt of electricity that appeared stronger than the others. It arced towards the nearest H.A.S., the one that wasn't occupied by the insane-looking flurry of fists, and struck it. Initially nothing happened, but after a moment or two a dramatic groaning of metal was heard as the front of the suit caved in, then it erupted into flames.
  9. ((count me in!))

There was an outrush of air as Lady Stormcrow teleported into the doorway. Quickly assessing the situation, she decided upon a plan of action. Her eyes glowed a deep red as she raised an arm. Thick clouds gathered in an instant over the approaching rikti. A freezing rain immediately began to pour forth in earnest, biting into the rikti that were caught underneath and slowing their advance. The reinforcements had been inconvenienced for now, making things easier for the hero with the energy blade.

The blue-skinned demon then turned to the unconscious form of Steve in the doorway and tutted.

"That head wound looks worse than it is, but he's going to have a hell of a headache". She laid the palm of her hand on his forehead and incanted a healing spell, knitting wounded and swollen flesh. She gently lifted Steve over her shoulder with a strength greater than her slim form implied. Noticing Tracy inside the building she turned to regard her.
“Um.. I assume he’s with you? Are you hurt?...take my hand if you wish to accompany him to the hospital" with this she extended a blue-skinned hand towards Tracy.
  10. This is brilliant! I loved the early narratitive of Dr D's beginnings in paragon, wish I was able to produce something of this standard.
  11. I'm still a relative photoshop newbie. Thanks a tonne Ben, that's really worked well.
  12. Once again, too much spare time and photoshop CS3 have brought out my artistic side. I originally wanted to digitally draw a close-up of my main toon for a forum avatar. About half way through I realised that the pixel limit was 80 x 80, which would entirely bork up the image.

Anway, here's the end product. I've kept to my cartoon-y style. Lady Stormcrow as her usual blue self.

  13. Towards the centre of the city, Fi aka Lady Stormcrow had made her own efforts to stem the green tide that swept across the city. Given the prowess of the trolls at close-range combat and their apparent invulnerability she'd devised a plan to deal with the threat by passive means.

At her suggestion, a hero named Shatterstone had used his earth-manipulation talents to collapse a large area of road exposing the sewers down below, with the help of others they'd then systematically sealed off all the sewer exits in the vicinity through futher cave-ins and other means. This created a warren of blocked sewer tunnels with one entrance, a sizeable drop from road level.
Fi had then created a thick fog around the area, complete with illusory police officers which confused and lured the trolls into the hole. Fi had remarked that they had created their own mini 'hollowing'.
Other heroes had turned up to help herd the trolls toward the hole, those with forcefield-related powers had proved invaluable in reinforcing the blockages in the sewers. Even several tonnes of rubble was barely enough to stop an enraged Chrono-troll.

Police chief Max Chalmers pulled up in his squad car and jogged over to where Fi was overseeing the action. He was obviously used to working with metahumans, because if he had any misgivings about the demonic heroine's appearance, he didn't show it.
"Just what the hell are you all brewing up here? I heard the crash five blocks away"

Fi turned to him, her eyes glowing "We've managed to devise a way to contain the trolls by collapsing an area of road and driving them into it...um.. perhaps we can find an antidote and can deal with them without the added complication of the drug effects. Alternatively we can seal off the hole and pump in sleeping gas, if we can find the resources that is"

Max grinned "They're probably havin' a merry time fighting the Vahlzohk that you undoubtedly trapped in there"

"Our job does seem to be mainly arbitrative once they're down there in making sure they don't kill each other. Some of the heroes that are luring them in seem to be enjoying themselves too." indeed, one of the heroes had compared it to shark fishing....for big, green, stupid sharks. "the majority of trolls seem to be contained, or in full retreat. I was going to leave the situation with you and the remainder of the heroes on the scene here"

Max raised an admonitary finger. "as long as you put the damn city back together when you're done"

Fi smiled sweetly at him as she took off in search of more trolls "I promise"
  14. Thanks guys. I surprised myself really.
Compared to the amount of artistic talent that lurks around these forums, it's feeble
  15. It's revision time once again, which of course means procrastination.
I thought I'd have a crack at drawing Lady Stormcrow in Photoshop:-

"didja hear? That thing in the sewers got Marty"
"What? another one! Isn't it about time somone dealt with it?"
"Nah, whatever it is, it's too big for pest control, and what do the council care about a few dissappearing bums? especially when there's an invasion going on"
"I hear ya. So what do you think it is?"
"Frank reckons it's a 'rachnos project gone wrong, I reckon it's a pet that someone flushed when it got too big"
    "maybe it's a giant rat"

*conversation slips into wild speculation over what the creature is*

    Please help :)

I have a thug MM (chapel), level 23 atm & I'd be happy to help out, hopefully I'd be able to be around a decent amout over the next few weeks and onwards, but my availability depends on uni work.
My global is @Timbo if you want to PM me in game or something.

EDIT: thought I'd link Chapel's Wiki Page just in case you were interested.
  25. *puts on Austin powers voice* Oh no! I've gone cross-eyed!

Zortel's idea sounds good, but it seems similar to the alternate-dimension thing. Where something in the past happened slightly differently, and the whole of reality is different, like the 5th column winning the war. Or statesman being run over before he got his powers, and the list goes on.

Though one could argue that other dimensions were created by divergances in the timeline such as the time travel scenario.

Perhaps it'd be a good idea to think that changing the past only had a -chance- to affect the current universe (i.e. if it's part of your character's story and/or the other parties involved agree with it)
