It's all a question of optimisation to avoid jagged blocky pixels, Timothy.
Anti-aliasing, selective sharpening and softening. That any use to you?

Once again, too much spare time and photoshop CS3 have brought out my artistic side. I originally wanted to digitally draw a close-up of my main toon for a forum avatar. About half way through I realised that the pixel limit was 80 x 80, which would entirely bork up the image.
Anway, here's the end product. I've kept to my cartoon-y style. Lady Stormcrow as her usual blue self.
