To make players stay with the game you can't just have coloring and new suit parts, we need new content.
A excuse to create new level 1 characters that have something to explore.
The devs have been working on Going Rogue, and one of their goals is to reinvent early gameplay experience.

New stories, new mobs (The Hellions should have been defeated ages ago).
As this is a comicbook world it needs to have story updates more often.
As it is now, its to static.
Yeah, I feel where you're coming from. Many of us complete the same missions, kill the same enemies over and over again, have the same Rikti invasions, etc year after year. It doesn't feel like anything we do actually impacts the in-game universe. But like Fulmens pointed out, the content is still new to new players. Hopefully, GR and future issues will add a lot of new content to the game.

    Video glitch?

It's not just you, this is a known issue. It affects all teleport type powers (Recall Friend, market and base teleporters, etc). I read somewhere that BaBs said it's fixed in I16.
  4. I listened to the whole thing. Some parts made me shudder, but the opera rapping and the sections with the kids singing were downright hilarious, lol. This should take the place of XP Debt as a penalty.

For one aid self only has a 20 second recharge, so any lower and heal decay will hit it.
Heal Decay only affects heals within 10 seconds of each other (I believe). I have Aid Self slotted for recharge on my Dom, HD doesn't hit it.

Edit: I usually slot it with 3 Heal, 2 Rech, 1 Interrupt. If you're going to use sets, 5 Doctored Wounds and 1 Interrupt.
  6. In addition, Burst is a good place to slot an Achilles' Heel: Chance for Resistance Debuff proc. Use Burst whenever it's up to give the proc more chances to go off.
  7. Is Force of Nature from Force Mastery worth taking, or will it be DRed to the point of uselessness? The resistance cap for Blasters is 75%. According to Mids', slotted FoN will provide around 54% resistance (before DR), on top of the 40% I already have.
  8. (I think) I remember reading somewhere that sets like Super Strength and MA would get to choose the colors of whooshes, trails, etc. It seems possible for weapons, but it's probably a lower priority like Demobot said.
  9. It'll take some getting used to, but everything looks great.
I noticed that some sections have been consolidated or removed completely, under PvP.

    Expired FOTM

My Widow, especially my Fort build. Not only did they nerf elusivity, but they also reduced VEAT damage. My Fort does defender level damage now.
  11. IIRC, redraw (the time it takes for the spines/thorns to come out of your body) is NOT included in the power's activation time.
  12. Does CoX currently have Praetorian Clockwork? We have Psychic Clockwork, but they're not from Praetoria.

I'm asking because of a few pieces of invention salvage on the Market, which aren't in-game yet:

Android Circuitry: Highly advanced circruitry from Praetorian Clockwork Androids

Android Blaster: This sophisticated weaponry removed from a Praetorian Clockwork Android is in perfect condition.

Android Armor Plate: A piece of Praetorian Clockwork Android armor, you occasionally catch a glimpse of glowing nanites flickering on its surfaces.

Undamage Android Brain [sic]: The surface of this highly advanced artificial intelligence control unit flickers with busy little nanites.

A sign of things to come?
  13. Absolute Malice: Limited Benevolence ?
    Hmm.

    I can't wait.
  15. Actually, the problem occurs when I try to open the Updater. The actual installation seemed to be fine.
  16. I've already submitted a support ticket, but I want to check if any other players have had success with this issue.

After installing CoH from the Architect Edition disc, I'm getting this message:

    [ QUOTE ]
"Error opening file C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.tmp
You may be out of disk space or you may be trying to install to a location where you have insufficient permisisons."

    [/ QUOTE ]

I tried this ,but it did absolutely nothing.

    Any insight?
  17. I believe the detective you get is based on your origin, I could be wrong though.

I really like the target distance idea, maybe it could show up in the Combat Attributes window as 'Current target distance', so it could be monitored with the other stats.
  18. Oh, that would explain it.
Haha, my eyes skipped right over the Long Cape option.
  19. I went to the tailor to make a new costume, and the option for High Collar+Normal Cape is gone. Has anyone else noticed this?

    Screenshots:
    High Collar+Normal Cape
    High Collar+Normal Cape, missing
  20. I'm not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong, but I'm having trouble surviving on my 50 Elec/WP Brute. For example, I was on an ITF over the weekend, and I would have been faceplanting every mob if I didn't have insps. I need a more sturdy build.

Can someone give me some pointers on what to change in my build, or point me towards a good WP build?

    This is the current build:

  21. Right, I didn't think about checking the wiki.

    Thanks.
  22. What would happen if one member of a leveling pact turned XP earning off? Would the other person gain full XP?
