And now the end is near...
Sadly, there would probably be peace here, or at least... non-aggressive discussion, were it not for the continued presence of one individual who refuses to accept ban-hood.
I'll be on for the 30th, playing on my bAss ackwards account. Won't be able to get on until the evening though.
The wife and I were still debating what to do. We've concluded most likely w/Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park where it all started, saluting Paragon.
I've noticed that as we get closer to the end, more and more bile has finally risen to the surface. It's better this way, I think. More honest. People exposing themselves for the flawed, contradictory humans they've always been. No more veil of BS that we're all one big happy family. We never were.
We all only had one thing in common; this game. It's soon going away. When it does, we'll soon find how some of us are just too alien to some others. This is quite liberating. |
i suppose that's one way of trying to find a silver lining.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
You could always ignore those who you find to be disruptive. I know...crazy thought using the tools provided to ya
A friend of mine said they never ignore people on forums and I quote... "Because then how would I know if they are saying anything bad about me?"
To which I replied "Who cares?"

Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

Apparently some people are not capable of using self control and ignoring things they find vile..or is that bile? I have two people on ignore because every time I see their posts I have to fight the urge to smack my monitor.
Trust me, that's only going to get more common the more in-depth your interactions with an on-line community get.
LOL Oh I know - I have been an active member of Rotten Tomatoes for about 12 years now.
I've found that there are just some communities that make it eventually necessary for me to leave in order to preserve my sanity.
Most of which are ones that don't prohibit discussions of religion and politics, for obvious reasons. Those are two topics I likely will never discuss outside of the context of anthropology.
In some ways, yes, it's nice to see people exposed for what they are, but I dislike seeing that our "save CoH" movement is being ran by idiots, racists, pontificators, and self-righteous twerps. I'd rather have thought of them as upstanding individuals trying to do a good thing.
