Halloween Event a REAL ghost town?

well figuring in the fact they are closing the game in a little less than a month.. i think it dampened the enthusiasm of many.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
I didn't realize that the month of November only counted as part of a month.
The Halloween event should have lasted through Halloween, and was stated as lasting through Monday, but it ended Sunday anyway. But we had some nice event teams on Virtue for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I do find myself not logging in these days, not because I'm tired of the game-- on the contrary, I still feel like I had way too much still left to do even after over eight years-- but because it is too painful.
I do still haunt the forums, though, not really hoping for that miracle save anymore, but wanting at least a good chunk of the team to stay together and announce that they've begun a kickstarter project or some other endeavor which I would hear about through the grapevine here.
Even if it ultimately never saw the light of day, I would be thrilled and proud to donate $100 ( a lot for me, a single working mother with two kids) if only to openly show my continued support for the dev team that gave so much of themselves to bring us CoH for so many years.
And hopefully there would be a great enough burst of initial fan support to show a pro publisher or two that Paragon Studios is worth investing in no matter what new form they take.
I for one am not playing because I am one of the many folks in the eastern US without power due to a hurricane.

I didn't play the Halloween event. I actually prefer just the regular ToTing compared to the new stuff. But all my globals have moved on so I didn't even bother logging in. Basically I am done with CoH until 11/30 when we have a in game/skype party planned for the sunset.

I lost power suddenly this morning and it lasted most of the day, 11 am --> 9:30 pm. I don't know why, but I suspect it was planned outage so my power company could working on something. And the radio is still listing the various other power companies in the Tri-state area here who each have hundreds of thousand customers without power.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
Wow. Sad huh?
