So where's the news update, NCSoft? (Subs Ending now what?)

Some of my friends subs end this weekend. What happens then? Have they turned off the autobilling yet? Has anyone had their subs run out since the announcement?

If so did you become free and lose all your perks?

I cant believe its going to be a week and we haven't heard anything from Andy Belford and/or NCSoft.

Dude, they lost their jobs. Have patience. Lots of us just spent a ton of money on subs; it's up to NCSoft to make the refunds.

Dude! Paragon Studios lost their jobs, NOT ncsoft. NCSoft cancelled the game knowing the "freemium" model. While it was sudden and out of no where for us -NC Soft knowingly did this ahead of time. No corporation wakes up one morning and says "geez, lets cancel this game."

They have subscriptions ending any day now, and they cancelled all transactions. How do they NOT give an update to the player who have paid their money?

Anyone out there whose sub ended this week? If so did you keep your VIP or lose it?

Pretty pissed here, i have paid for about 5 years of monthly subs plus a bunch of points and bonus packs. My sub ran out right before the cut off and now I have to go out like a chump, no way to go back to VIP.

On the other hand, for those of us who have 12 month subs which expire after Nov 30th's server closure, I would love to know what is to become of that "loyalty". :/

IIRC, they've already said your extra time will be refunded (I'm not sure whether it was from last Friday or November 30th that will be considered the 'end'). This is what they've done with all their prior games they've closed (in addition to giving a free activation code for all the NCSoft MMOs- not sure if that'll be repeated).

As for points? Don't know. Maybe convert it into NCCoin (does that still exist?) or something. If you could only get them via purchasing, then refunding would be fairly practical... but since VIPs were getting 400/550 a month, it becomes much muddier.

I'm sure we'll find out exactly how it'll go down soon... It's still a few hours before a full week has passed (mind you, monday was a holiday for most of the US, so basically only 3 business days).

I think there's already been at least a couple people on the forums that should have lost VIP by now that have posted that they haven't. In the last coffee talk I think Zwill & one of the guests talked about this, saying they'd try to prevent anyone from dropping to VIP... but at this point, they're not exactly in a great position to do much of anything.

Well the way they spoke at the coffeetalk, anyone that's VIP now -should- remain VIP for the duration but they weren't 100% certain.

My subscription was suppose to end yesterday. I still have full posting privileges on the forums and nothing has changed in the game. So far it looks like it may be true: if your account was subscribed on August 31 when the Paragon Studios was shut down and set to expire before November 30, you keep your VIP status.

I have seen others on the forums saying the same thing about not losing their subs after the announcement. So I don't know what's going on.
