It's manipulating the ragdoll code to get new animations that's a PITA and a half.

Although using Leandro's Poser program (while it still worked, that is), I was able to do a LITTLE bit of manipulating, which is how I was able to have Marcus and Monica embracing at the end of my little Statesman tribute video.

A few months ago, I gave a copy of Leandro's poser to Rian_Frostdrake's younger brother as a programming challenge. He was hot on his way to reverse-engineering it and addressing the issue the poser had with arm positioning.... then one night he got lost in the costume creator, rediscovered a love for the game, and that project went on hiatus-- I guess permanently, now...

Thank you for all you've done for City of Heroes, Black Pebble. And, for those of us watching the weekly dev chat on Ustream and Twitch, being a true inspiration to anyone who want to rule the world with a nerf gun of iron.

This isn't quite a Loregasm, but....

If you do hop onto beta, you can see one of the feature I was able to sneak in.

At the prompt, type in:

demorecord_auto


Sure made the last couple months a lot more convenient.

Is that the feature that blurs the background like you were talking about before?

Never mind, just tested it. Seems to be a way to just demorecord without needing a name for it right? Were you able to sneak in anything else BP?

Not sure what those last #'s represent

It means that dorks like me can FINALLY create a quick macro/tray button to demorecord instead of having to type in an identifying name when we want to turn on the demorecord command. (It's kind of like how screenshots are automatically tagged when you hit PrntScreen (or whatever your Capture Screenshot keybind is), but now with demorecord.) Now I can have one for DEMOSTART and one for DEMOSTOP.

I have been begging for this feature for years. No joke. YEARS.

(And apparently you don't need the quotes - I just tested it on beta.)

Voila! That way if I see something I really want to capture, I can just click that instead of having to try and figure out what to type it (and hope I type it right in the rush of trying to record something).

Freaking sweet and ty Mr. Pebble. Of course this makes the game shutting down even more infuriating. It's one of the reasons I gave up doing demo's as it took me forever just to record things. Well if all else fails I have 2 months!
