So, what were you doing?

I'd just gotten home from work. As I usually do when I get home, I checked my e-mail, and then logged on to Facebook. That's when I saw the announcement. I spent the rest of the evening reading the various posts here and on LiveJournal about the subject. And when I got tired of that, I logged into the game on my main, and joined a Mothership raid that was starting up on Virtue to take out my frustrations on the Rikti.

I was literally logging out of Wurm Online (obsessively crafting/improving/repairing) and I hit "New Posts" on the forums and Zwill's came up.

I was refreshing the Archetypes and Powers forum during a pretty stupid technical fight with UberGuy and saw Lobster's mispost.

I miss that stupid fight.

I got a phone call from my wife 5 minutes before I had to go to work. She was in tears. I asked her what was wrong, and she said CoH was shutting down. I couldn't do anything, I went to work and pretended everything was fine until I got home again.

I was at work tracking down a potentially critical problem. When I had a free minute I refreshed the page on my SG forums and saw a thread "Good-bye, CoH."

I'm really glad I had something else that demanded my attention at the time.

Just returned from a physical therapy appointment for my scoliosis.

I was sleeping. My phone started ringing like the gates of hell had opened and woke me up. I grabbed the thing, wondering what the emergency was, and read messages from several players who contacted me at once to let me know.

Obviously I wasn't going back to sleep, so I got up and spent until 5am in Freedom, fighting tentacles.

I was doing my usual morning routine when I wake up before my son- getting in a little play time. Running my stalker around Crey's picking up exploration badges, picking off lucrative high level spawns along the way.

Logged when he woke up, made us breakfast, played with him for a bit....then checked the forums.


Feh.

I work nights, so Friday afternoon before I went to bed, the last CoH related thing I did was make vague plans with my friend to run Katie Hannon's TF sometime this month.

Then I get home this morning, check my email, and...he's written to me telling me about the game getting killed.

I had just paid for a month worth of VIP about an hour earlier, so was planning my new build on Mids while chatting ingame to all the Union players who were on at the time. Then boom, Damz came in and told everyone about the announcement. At first I thought he was joking, but when I saw it on the official website I knew it was true, and I was suddenly filled with a mixture of sadness, dewilderment, and anger.

I was on facebook, I first saw the tech armor screenshot I was like neat. Got up did some house work. Came back to my computer saw a new post on Facebook with the announcement...I thought it was a joke or some kind of hacking attack.

Then I came to the forums I confirmed it.


I cried

I was sitting in the back of Spanish class - texting via Formspring when a message from Pathrunner popped up announcing the news. I claimed a menstral and went home early.

Pretty much been crying and raging and panicking ever since.

I was in bed and it was 4:45am. Sometimes when I wake up and check the time on my phone, I alsocheck FB. And guess what FB post was right at the top...

I was like "Holy sh**!!!!!* That promptly woke my husband up. We couldn't get back to sleep after that. All day yesterday I was a mess, crying off and on, shaking, getting migranes because I was so upset...you get it...

This morning I still can't read the forums very much without feeling sick or tearing up. Needless to say I still don't much feel like playing.

I had been console gaming all day. I got stuck, loaded up GameFAQs to find a guide and saw it on the recent headlines tab. My jaw hit the floor and I stared at my screen in disbelief for about 5 minutes.
