How will shutting down affect the Market?

I'm going to buy everything for 1 inf so when the servers get rezzed from the ashes I will be king of the world.

Let's just say if you have billions of influence, and 12 hours left to play on Nov 30th, you might possibly buy generic IOs for hundreds of millions or potentially even a billion, just so you don't have to stop and craft anything. What else would you spend it on in the last 12 hours? The closer you get to the end, the less your influence is worth and the more valuable your remaining time is.

I'm not promising anyone will sell generic IOs for hundreds of millions, but then again, it could happen.

Whatever this means, I was able to buy a piece of rare salvage that normally goes for 1.5-2 million for 120,000 last night (I think it was a Deific Weapon?). And I bought a Mastermind ATO (the +defense global) for 100,000.

But certainly not all prices had crashed. I wanted a Reactive Gas (and my team was waiting on me) so I paid full price, 2 million, after some unsuccessful bid creeping.

Depends on how many VIPs, Tier 4 accounts (lifetime ww access), tier 7 (lifetime invention access) there are, along with those with enough points left to buy respective licenses for WW and IOs that may not fall into the above categories.

That is quite a few factors to account for, never mind the rush of people to return versus the jaded leaving and how they filled in the supply and/or demand sides.

With that written, I envision salvage prices will start to climb again, if not actual IOs since the salvage is still necessary even if you are crafting for yourself. Of course, that all depends on the number of reward merits floating around too from the super packs too....

I wouldn't start dumping things though -- perhaps in Mid-October, but there's a lot of stuff going with the fanbase trying to save the game and the rumor of possible suitors right now.

Fulmens, Nethergoat, SwellGuy, TopDoc, and especially Arcanaville, you made the game so much more fun for the five years-ish that I played.

Burn Rate still has 2B inf on him. Not sure what I'll do with it.

PS. I went by Paragon Studios this morning with breakfast treats for the team. After a somewhat awkward introduction, I spent a few minutes talking to Zwillinger. Good times. It sounds like they will land on their feet.

Yeah, I dunno how much good it did. The place felt very empty - there was no one at the front desk; Zwillinger just happened to be nearby when I rang the bell. I didn't see anyone else (though the main part of the office was further back behind a badge door). But I guess I at least fed one person

Also, PPS, I'm sure I missed some names above. It's been three years since I played actively.

Where's EvilRyu? I feel like we should have one last flame war before all the lights go off.

I'm making a firesale soon with my Solo Base stuff - my characters may be able to take it with them, but my storage options will vanish.

I'm probably going to finish purpling/catalyzing my main characters as well.
