And without the Storm Defender the Empath would have been overwhelmed by damage faster than he could heal. Synergy!

Well, the Hurricane debuff lasts ten seconds, so pretty often I can hit a breakfree and get 'Cane back up before the enemy can finish me. Not 100% of the time of course.

You mean they didn't just follow the scrapper with him targeted and spamming buffs and heals, then retreating to the nearest elevator when the scrapper died to Recall said scrapper and then rez him while the rest of the team got pasted???

What kind of empath was this!

Nah every Defender knows that the correct reaction to a teammate dying is to cast Vengeance and keep fighting.

Actually now that I think about it that holds true for almost all of my characters regardless of AT. I may have a problem.

It is only a problem when you're actually hoping for them to be defeated so that you can cast veng.... Oh drat...

Heal or vengeance, heal or vengeance? If I cast a heal, I'll have to keep spamming heals on everyone. If I let him die and cast a vengeance then everyone will be soft capped and I have a lot of time to spam attacks! Which to do?

Or they could have, you know.. ate BFs?

I at least keep a healthy portion of BFs free on my Defenders for such an occasion.

More often than not I blow them taking alphas though.. Silly timid tankers/brutes..

I have a lot of characters who can take out full packs of +3 DE if an Empathy defender is following me around buffing and healing me. That's all I am saying.

My Thermal/Sonic not only hopes, but actually asks people to die near other mobs so I can hit Vengeance and blow up their corpse. Sadly, when I blow them up with Power of the Phoenix they get back up and my endurance discount goes down... I should've gone with Rad.

my cold/ice defender has turned into my go to character for most any situation. upon accepting a pug invite i had one teammate say "i remember you, you're the first tank, blaster, controller defender i've ever played with. this is gonna be easy." i was quite complimented. that toon is a blast on itfs, speed or kill all. (i just really like the itf also) perma sleet/ice storm combo for mobs, good st attack chain and buffs for teammates. all my favorites

i went on a defender making frenzy a while back and have a solid selection to choose from. even joined a short lived all defender task force group that played weekly. if you havent tried an all defender tf give it a shot, it's a lot of fun at any level.

I missed something. Time is clicky? I have 2 clicks, 1 power on auto, and 1 power I click after a long recharge.

My point exactly, we wouldn't have been able to survive without our Defender-y-ness. I kept her alive, she kept me alive.

And to the previous point of Damage Resistance on a Storm Defender, it really does rock. 20+ resistance to ALL but psi is damn good; I took Soul Mastery for that reason. Although the additional energy resistance for iTrials is tempting (Charged Armor). I can get 80+ global recharge, 1 small purple away from the softcap on ALL defenses and all the tools available to a Stormie? Defenders can defend themselves as well
