But nobody uses the team up teleporter for iTrials any way....

click the ones you want, go off and do something else. then poof your in mission.
There'll be more ways eventually, it's just going to take time as things come out. If i24 doesn't come out with a new slot and new iXP for it, it's likely whatever incarnate content well have advanced iXP. Or maybe an alternate method for earning it, like a new component conversion or something (like burning common components? Or something).
This was a fairly common request while it was in Beta, or, at the very least, the fact that the Hybrid iXP was only available in the trial was much maligned. The devs virtually responded with raspberries, as is oft the case.

I suggest people hold the DOOM until i24 actually hits beta and see whether there is or isn't some other way to gain aixp.

If that's the case (and it undoubtedly is), it shouldn't have gotten to beta like that. How many times does one have to try and serve up soup sandwiches before it sinks in that it isn't a good idea?

When Lambda and BAF were released, those trials were the only way to acquire iXP. And people did complain about that. Eventually, we got more trials, not because people complained about Lambda and BAF, but because it had been planned that way to begin with.
There will be more incarnate slots, and they, too, might require advanced iXP. There will be other trials that also offer advanced iXP. Just not today.

id imagine we will soon. we had no way of getting ixp at all solo previously, then we had a laborious way, and now we have mot and the emperor's sword. the pattern seems to be to open with one way, to funnel people through the new content then expand it as the content expands. so i'd be very surprised if within 2 issues we still don't have another way, and i wouldn't be surprised if there were a way in i24.

It'd be neat if they made a switch so Exemplar'd 50s can earn incarnate XP, somehow. Instead of earning Inf maybe it could split XP between unfilled incarnate slots, but make the formula weird so it's not all that efficient (but at least you'd be earning something!)
Earning those shards doesn't mean too terrible much when the only thing shards are good for is the alpha slot. And even then, using those incarnate trial drops could get you crafting those alpha abilities up faster.
