Wait... We're getting an enhancement that changes kb to kdown? Awesome.

That would make getting Repel a beautiful thing too. Instant alpha absorber at level 2?

And Lordy that just makes Storm/H2O a really insane combo.

Just tested it on Beta, anything that's in it's area pretty much gets the chain KD until Nado changes targets. Wow Tornado+Whirlpool+Water Burst+Freezing Rain is gonna be niiiice.

It's unique (so only 1 per build), and only can be slotted in powers that take damage enhancements, though.

too bad for Repel. Still, gonna create some awesome stormie chars.

Toe bombers should be happy too... This could be insidiously good for my new project, a Traps/Dark defender. Place the kdown enh into trip mine on an already all stunned and immobed group go boom, then boom again with time bomb or blackstar (all enhanced with soul drain, of course).

That would work great, but I think the end cost would make it not worth it. Repel costs endurance based on targets hit after all.

It's too bad that it's unique. Hurricane would also be a decent place to put it, as that would make it act more predictably.

From Sonic Attack or for Claws? Either way that's what I was thinking as well...in fact this enhancement might make me roll a new toon or two.

So I wouldn't be surprised devs made specific exceptions down the road.

I wouldn't either. That's the risk you take when you take advantage of edge cases though. Love it while you can; don't be surprised if it gets taken away.

My Claws/Regen's Shockwave will receive it.

It probably sounds lame but im just waiting to put one in my assult rifle's snipe so i can pull one guy without knocking him into next thursday and bringing the whole mob crashing down around my ears.

Well it still is Derp compared to the other sets control wise.

We will see...it doesn't make the power OP but it adds a entirely new feel to it altogether.

I also tested in tornado and it wasn't that broken...since Tornado is erratic anyway it just turned into a longer and a little more damaging waterspout so I think that Tornado and Lightning Storm is safe.

This IO alone will make me roll maybe 3 to 4 new toons...I may even try out a PB.

I have been asking for someone to test this IO in Bonfire on BETA for quite some time now since I kept getting every IO but the KD one...here's the proof of it's awesomeness...



Here's how the power behaves with the IO in it...

It behaves just like Ice slick except it deals damage.

If you use this power solo it becomes great for slow and gradual damage as well as decent control.

Just like Ice Slick though one must make sure NOT to immob while it's doing it's thing so pretty much on teams you should just forget about casting it unless you are using it for temporary control only.

I know this is the defenders forums but I have done this on my Grav/Storm controller and in my opinion it has really up'd my damage out put as I don't have to worry about scatter anymore. Unless the group is kept close together then it can dance about a little between foes but I have noticed a couple of times it has gone after an outlying Lt while I have been dealing with the main bulk of the group.

With the new Enhancement it really does become a cast and forget power

I would be suprised if the Devs suddenly did come along and made exceptions for the new Enhancement. I think they would have known what powers people would have used it in (being players themselves), and they do read the forums so would have been aware of what people where planning.

I think it does change some powers from oppurtunistic powers to every mob powers but none that would make them significantly overpowered game changing powers.
