picked up a couple of overnight wins at a price point I doubt I'll be able to duplicate- be interesting to see how high the price goes before the changes his live.

I put in bids on Blaster ATO's, and I'm sure I'll make money on them, but I've been making money on them before now too. I'm not really sure how much that will change.

Still, I've been doing nothing but flipping ATOs for months now, so that's exactly where my mind went when I saw the coming changes.

My first thought was "go stock up on the Kismet +6% acc" IOs but I suspect there is another round of blaster changes that will lessen if not outright remove the large appeal of these items.

Just guessing, could be wrong.

You may be right although it it could well be the other way around. At the moment Kismet holds more appeal for Defenders and Corruptors than Blasters (since they can perma-FastSnipe with Tactics + Kismet which currently only a few sets can for Blasters). However if people keep complaining the devs may end up instituting some way for Blasters to self buff up to FastSnipe outside Aim/BU which would make Kismet more popular.

I generally regard the Kismet as Just Plain Awesome for all characters. I don't think I've gone past about level 20 without one in ages.

The only character I don't bother with it on is my SS brute. Rage with 3 Membranes made me feel like the slot for the Kismet was better used elsewhere.

My Defenders currently lack Kismets because they all have Tactics at Defender values. My Corruptors all have Kismets because, well, they all have Tactics, but at Corruptor values.

Most everyone else has one too. Super Strength characters are also an exception for me. For a while my BS/Invul Scrapper also lacked one, but I tacked on on since the +toHit from Invincibility isn't all that, and he would sometimes have issues getting a defense cascade started on high defense foes. I'll add now one to my Defenders, too, and may well seriously respec into the snipe on my Dark/Psi, since suddenly she could be firing Psychic Lance with a 1s activation time.

Oh, yeah, if this goes through in current form, I expect Kismets to become very much more popular. You don't need to min/max or want to fight high over-level foes (who are hard to hit) to want to be able to insta-snipe.

Im dusting off my dev blasters and gearing them up to be sick with that insta snipe damage.. if they change doms snipe too.. its over for pvp.

I'd be surprised.

What I do expect is their being added to one or another of the Merit Stores to keep the price down.

Of course, 'down' is relative...

I kind of agree. I'm sure it will rise in price with I24, but not sure how much.

But I make so much money doing what I'm already doing that nothing else really matters to me. ^_^ Have at it and good luck!

Anyway, that makes sense- I was surprised I couldn't find it and suspected user error.

What I expect to happen is a gigantic wave of demand when I24 hits that will completely overwhelm all supply channels. Per the wiki, Kismet is available for:

- 150 Reward Merits
- 1 Alignment Merit
- 16 Astral Merits

EDIT: NG, the reason you may have missed them is because of the slider -- remember that you have to place the slider into the range where the recipe appears in order to see it (under "Defense") -- since Kismet is available between 10 and 30, that's where you have to have it in order for it to appear.

Mmm yeah. I can't see prices skyrocketing for very long over something that's just 1 SSA run away.

At worst the salvage will go up for a while.

I traded in A Merits and Astrals for like 5 kismets a while before converters each one got me 100 mil with this insta snipe bizness I can se it going up

I think the wiki may be wrong. I'm 90% certain I checked a couple of days ago and the Kismet proc is 2 alignment merits. Unless I'm imagining things again.

EDIT: Ok, I was wrong, it's the Kismet Defense/Endurance/Recharge that's two A-Merits. sorry for the confusion .
