Wow I just got a mission that sent me to an Echo? Screenshot

I didn't think you would ever be sent to the Echo's. Look at my mission:

I still don't know what's worse: that the Echo redirects come across like the contact's inexplicably sending you back in time, or that some of these pre-i22 arcs seemed to have some really random instanced missions set in Astoria. "The Freakshow have taken an office building hostage. Go to Dark Astoria and rescue those poor office workers - I mean, they already have it bad enough with the fog and the zombies!"

Talk about your commute from Hell...

"Now, I'm not saying this guy at Microsoft sees gamers as a bunch of rats in a Skinner box. I'm just saying that he illustrates his theory of game design using pictures of rats in a Skinner box."

I imagine an employee and his boss looking out a window at swarming hordes of Banished Pantheon zombies.

Boss: "Sure, but you wouldn't believe how cheap office space is out here!"

What window? There are none in office maps.

Those doors that never open? Those lead to the sections with management offices with windows. Which also have their own elevator shaft. The first sign of trouble those doors seal off the management from the rest of the building. That's also why the accessible floor plans seems so bizarre and anti-ergonomic.

Dr. Todt's theme.

And abandoned office maps?

That would be the above boss at work again...

"Look, we all know windows let people look outside, and that just hurts morale. You want outside windows, go work for AE! Here we have nice sensible windows that overlook random hallways and atriums, so people can focus on business."

I just got one of those the other night during my typical finished-mission-call-contact-get-next-mission-before-logoff thing. I'll have to /bug it when I log in.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

I think it's funny that there are solar pannels on some roofs in Dark Astoria.

CEO: I don't care if our offices are being over run by zombies, or Talons of. . .Whatever they are Talons of this week. We are going green! ! !

"Damn it all, Johnson! I don't care that there hasn't been sunlight here for decades. We get tax write-offs for installing these solar panels!"

I didn't know they wanted those bugged; I'd assumed that they'd been deemed not worth fixing.

Last week I had missions in Echo: DA and Echo: Galaxy at the same time. Ironically, the DA mission was fighting the old Banished Pantheon. I just imagined the Spirit Masks saying "Yeah, I got the memo. Promotion to Incarnate? So I can be an underling to some hopped up hula dancer? No thanks, we're going to stay right here in this office building chasing attorneys. Where I'm the boss."
