They team up with the loyalists in the Kings Row sewers on the Apex TF - so they must be vaguely aware of Praetoria, although it's unlikely that they know about the loyalist plan to enslave the mutliverse and exterminate all opposition to Tyrant, otherwise they might realize that they'd eventually end up dead too.

Not according to my recollection of Dark Watcher's RWZ arc, "The Horror of War," where the revelation nearly caused suicidal reactions in Rikti Traditionalists.

The Primal Excalibur was returned to the Lady of the Lake after Arthur died - and there's guarantee thatthe Praetorian Lady of the Lake would also be on the good side.
This is pretty much how I see it- Night Ward is functionally the equivalent of Avalon. So Excalibur's presence there doesn't really indicate anything about where the cities of the Praetors (or First Ward) might be located on Praetorian Earth.

Ah. I've only played through that the one time, so didn't recall that part. I guess that does explain the Rikti and Hydra presence in that TF, come to think of it. (Although I think it seems a bit... weird.)

That's a bit of a broad sketch of the Praetor's plans, but I'll forgive you since I know you're part of the Resistance, and your minds have been twisted by the rantings of a known madman.

Ah, should have clarified. The Rikti were previously unaware of this until that arc, but I'd still say that the vast majority of the Rikti are still unaware of it, and perhaps even the Restructurists are not aware of it, given their... disagreements... with the Traditionalists. At best, they're willfully ignorant of it, since it doesn't fit into their plans (and, I'd argue, is really the only way to justify their working with the Praetorians in the Apex TF or anywhere else, for that matter.)

Well, in the interim, I looked up my souvenir from that arc. THe news reached the Restructurists as well, who defected, were purged, or ignored the news. We weren't able to get the revelation to the Rikti homeworld, naturally.

As for the other part of this, I'd imagine that the Rikti were unaware of Praetoria and instead left the trail Nemmy had undoubtedly planted straight to Primal Earth. The Restructists may well want to destroy/conquer Praetoria, but their first order of business will still be wiping out Primal humanity so we can't expose the war's true origin. At least, that's the motivation stated in the souvenir.

The lake around the city is man-made - it was flooded once the city was built to add an extre line of defense.

You may also want to check the comic archives - http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/media-...comic-archive/

Issue 16 from the Top Cow version of CoH shows the Praetorian version of Paragon City.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Rikti DID try to invade the Praetorian Earth, but they were quickly turned away. Maybe they realized that the Praetorian Hamidon and Devouring Earth did more damage than they ever could?

Pretty sure that got retconned, in part because it doesn't make any sense at all. The Rikti, as so, so many people forget in their character concepts, are not marauding space aliens. They're alternate reality humans from a particular alternate version of Earth.
