Old folks with bad memory!

Just figured I'd share my old fogie moment - in the hopes that someone else won't be as foolish and stupid as I was.

Despite having billions of inf to spend, with 3 of my four reward tokens, I was going to get some super packs.

They moved them to the next tier up.

I knew that they moved them. I had just forgotten.

I ended up with 75 more enhancement boosters that I don't need -at least won't need for quite some time.

Don't be old and forget important things like "They moved the superpacks to the next tier up. "

I won't forget it again, I assure you. Hopefully, this will help another person not to make this stupid mistake.

Huh? The consumable Super Pack rewards were always Tier 9 VIP.

AFAIK...

They have indeed been Tier 9 since they were added to the Paragon Rewards system.

But they've only been Tier 9 VIP since i23 went live. Before that they were in the regular, non-VIP tier with all the other repeatables.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

They used to be Tier 9, not VIP. So if you don't wait for the tooltip to pop up, it's possible to buy something else by clicking where you think the packs are, instead of where they are.

Edit: Bah, slow.

This is good advice, but over time it is becoming harder to follow.

One of my favorite phrases to use:

Getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Since misery loves company I'll share my similar moment from this weekend.

I managed to buy the Mission Teleporter Power from the Market, by mistake, when trying to buy the Team Teleporter, a mere five minutes after catching myself doing the same thing and avoiding it on another account.

In Paragon City since June 2005.

My first thought is: Isn't the alternative NOT getting old... i.e. staying young forever? Wouldn't that be better!? However, my not so litteral response is: How would you know? Have you died yet?

Just ignore me, I'm being a butthead and I know exactly what the phrase means.

Growing old is mandatory. Growing up? That's optional.
