Hello. I am looking to make a stalker with the release of staff my official main toon. Now I want to start badging because well it's apart of the game and I used to badge on my brute till energy melee got neutered to death .

Any advice on how to begin?

i usually get the explores first since they are usually the easiest, being a stalker with stealth will be able to easily get them if you want to venture in higher lvl zones

most defeat badges you will get over the course of career but some of those will require farming so i would work on those later

usually badges which you get for going through an arc are easy to get while lvling, same with tf badges

to make it easier you should also work on history plaques while doing explores

As Necro pointed out: Explores and plaques are easiest to do, and do a lot of the accolade homework for you. Remember, you're red and blue sides are waiting to be found.

Then I'd do the singular badge missions from Ouroboros, just to get 'em outta the way.

I'd do the TF/SF badges at this point, since it'll help you for the next category...

Then I'd work on defeats - going from lowest level to highest, just for speed's sakes. By now you should have a lot of grinding done for most of the badge defeats.

If you haven't gotten them by now at this point, I'd focus on accolades, just to get the free powers.

PVP is your next step. You can do them legit, or you can team with a buddy to grind 'em out. Gladiator grinding wraps into this too.

The next steps are up to you. Ouroboros difficulty grinding is irritating. So's the crafting (although it has direct in-game benefits) grinding. You might wanna just leave those on the side and "get them" naturally, or prioritize other singular badges to get over with (the various Master badges, for instance).

Im badging with my Dark/Dark troller (my first badger) and this is more or less my route.
- Exploration/Plaques (doing both at the same time)
- Ouro missions
- Defeats

I do badge runs for trials/TFs when I see them. I worked on the crafting badges while I was levelling. Now im working on the 2000 inventions by simply buying stacks of 10 of salvages for 1inf, crafting a level 50 IO (accu, damage, end, recharge, jump... lots of them work) and selling them for crafting cost+WW fee. Works for crafting+WW badge

Then repeat for Praet badges and Villain badges :P

Welcome back to badging! Now is the perfect time to start up again. New badgers have a huge advantage: there's far more support (tracking sites, programs, popmenus), the devs re-evaluated and lowered many *epic* badge requirements, Alignment makes most defeat badges a breeze, and the overall community's increased skill level (and incarnates) have made Masters more achievable with pick-up groups.

Advice for beginners:

- Register with a badge tracking site: cit.cohtitan.com and/or badge-hunter.com

- Set a mini goal every week(end).

- Consider the advantages of a badge partner. Defeats are easier and more fun with two.

- Add Wiki.cohtitan.com to your favorites.

After you finish off the solo stuff:

- Find the badge global channels for your server but also join any trial/tf channels.

- Make a habit of going early. Set aside that week's mini goal to run the new issue trials and taskforces when they launch.

- Check forums announcements once a week. Watch for notifications on scheduled event weeks (Rikti Invasion, Supernatural Event, Zombie Apocalypse), holiday events, and special Loyalty Reward badges.

Sure, there's a Supernatural Event every week but it's more fun when the zone is excited about trying for the badges.

- Check the Weekly Strike Target list every month. Each one carries a badge for completion. Some carry a "Master of" badge. Nice way to pace yourself on tf badges if the character has not run most of the content *and* receive bonus rewards.

Aside from the advice already given, go to the forum section for your server and ask what the most active badge channels are. Every server has channels dedicated specifically to getting badges.

Paragon City Search And Rescue

Don't forget to run the task forces. The big six are required for an accolade and often get you defeat badges in the process. You get clockwork gears in Synapse, and a load of paragon protectors in Manti, and one of the Striga TFs is good for Council Warwolves and Vampyri.

Mostro - Mr Methane - Beast Lightning - Akrasia - Contraindicator - BattleBomb - Norsewind - Poundy Hammer - Fatron - Mysteriesque - Chiisai Tora - Goth Claw - Mach Barrier - Bearly Human - Prototype Alpha - Crabbly - Puffy Morpheus

Get out now, while you still have your sanity!!!

More seriously, for when you get to Ouroboros challenge badges, the wiki has a handy checklist you can use to keep track of which challenges you've already done so you don't have to look at your badges and try to figure out which ones you still need.

Ugh, doing Oro makes me want to cry.

Of course, I could've chosen a 'better' toon to be my badger, instead of my Fire/Kin Controller, who is nearly completely useless until her 30'ish area of levels. But, too late to start over now, or I may actually lose my marbles.

Wait...

Already lost them...

I found it very easy to get the main 4 accolades on my StJ/Will.

What level was he? 50(+1).

What?
