For SSA 7, where the heck is Scirocco?! I've flown all over the place and can't find him.

Help!

Thanks.

He's in the groove of the Chantry. There should be a waypoint on the map, although it isn't automatically selected upon entering, IIRC.

This may sounds stupid, but I've never been into the Chantry, so how do you enter it?

Thanks

There's a hole in the force field facing the floating landmass, which you can fly through, or which the nearby gravity geysers should launch you through.

Ah, thank you! Got in and found him.

Cheers!

Hotflash, and anyone else with the same problem reading this thread, here is an image of where you can pass through the force field:

It's between those two pillars. On the map you can hopefully see how you enter slightly to the north of the waypoint.

Gravity geysers BAH. All they EVER did for me was pitch my superhero butt over the edge into oblivion. Either get a flight pack of some kind and save yourself some major headaches, or give yourself flight in an alt build if you don't have flight already.

Gravity geysers... worst idea EVER.

I like 'em. they can get you where you're going in a hurry. That said, they can be unreliable, so it's always advisable to have some form of flight/teleportation available for when the landing area is missed.

Just makes me sad that so many people apparently don't play with map open in a small window stuck to the top left or right of the screen, haha. I've had to reply to at least five people asking me where Scirocco was by the answer "Press M to view your map".

Yeah, it can be tricky to get into the Chantry if no one tells you what to look for. I play a teleporter, which made it even more confusing: you can't teleport in, as the cursor will not go past the wall (even the "open" point), and visually, the open spot is not so distinct from the rest of the force field (or not distinct at all?). I'd been out there for a Shard TF before, so I knew you had to walk through a "wall," but I forgot you can't port thru it.

I myself can't see a difference.

Other than the two close pillars/columns, no.

Well, there are a few issues that made it difficult (for me at least) even with
the map open.

First of all, there are several examples of markers in this game not actually marking
the correct place - AP and DA come immediately to mind...

Second, even tho the marker is in the correct area in this specific case, he's
*inside* the force field area which may or may not seem simple to enter, and
additionally, he's pretty small compared to the size of the Wisps and other Rularuu,
so he was difficult to see.

Third, and by far the most irritating to me, is that he's not targetable until you
actually defeat the "guards" - that is a Bad Thing, because if you have a real
handy bind for finding difficult targets (like Maelstrom (Tip), or blinkies, or NPC
hostages in *other* missions), it simply won't work. Period.

So, having the map open is good advice, but it's still quite easy to miss him
even so... YMMV

Another thing that's REALLY aggravating is that some powers (like Spring Attack) don't work in there either.

The force field between the pillars seems less turbulent than the rest of the groove when I get really close, but you can't tell the difference from a still shot, nor from far away. The pillars are the only real clue; fortunately, they're pretty obvious once you know to look for them.
