So the point of this thread is as the quote in the title suggest... it is for costumes you may have made that don't fit any of your heroes or villains but you can't help but think "This Costume is too cool to let go to waste". So that is the point of this thread post your best costumes That you just can't seem to find a character for:

I was so, SO proud of this costume. Still my favorite character I've customized from any game I've played... and I do not use it... I can't sit and play a melee-only character. My male spider has evolved over time and settled into a bane build that is just exactly everything I want from a melee character and has a grenade launcher plus mace blasts, and everything else I want to do doesn't fit this costume at all. The name is used for my fire blaster, who does crazy and colorful, not majestic.

Free to a good home. :3

I really like this guy! Problem is... I have nothing I can do with him.

He'd make a perfect MM with soldier pets, but the mercenary set feels so painfully weak it's just not fun playing.

He'd also make a cool assault rifle/dual pistols user, but I can't play sets that have the redraw penalty.

okay kiddies its that time again here is a batch of costumes that I am not going to in all likely hood use but are too cool to go to waste (waring you will have to do alot of scrolling down)

I do have all the codes for these so if ya want one tell me

oh also just cause I am interested let me know if ya use one of my costumes and what at and power sets, alot of these where made with certain sts in mind but just ended up going with another idea

Viper looks like either a (Green) fire/poison or a Spines/regen kind of deal.

Skull cyborg seems like an Assault Rifle/Dev or Assault rifle/traps.

Robot mastermind sounds good too.

ROFL well that wasn't the point of the thread but hell if you wanna that is cool by me, the reason I made it is cause i tend to have Hero/Villain ADD, the ones I keep require more then just a cool costume! have to enjoy the powers I chose and the story line I give them. This aside, when making a character I often conceptualize based on the costume so I make lots of them (especially on the beta ) as a result alot of really cool costumes I make just don't get used. I feel guilty... this thread eases that guilt :P

oh another batch will likely be released after cyber tech set comes out.

I do the same thing, although I'm less inclined to give characters backstory; I need good powers, a good costume, and a good name to play a character for more than 10 or 12 levels. Since I purchased all the costume slots that are available from the store, I usually spend some time designing a second and third costume for characters as soon as they get to Atlas Park or Mercy Isle. Sometimes, the costume I end up with doesn't quite fit the character. Sometimes, I start making a costume and it goes in a completely different direction than I thought it would. If I think it's good, but don't know what to use it for, I'll save it for later. Since "later" doesn't always arrive promptly, someone else might as well use what I come up with, in whole or in part.

Okay, time to rez this thread.

I posted this in the Costume Re-Design Thread. The person I was replying to said that the idea behind it was a good inspiration but went in a very different direction and came up with something that looked very very different. Personally, I really like the way this looks, but I have too many alts as it is.

Here's another, with a variation:

I tried to get the body as dark as possible so the attention is all on the face. We really need some completely un-shiny tights options. Maybe a Matte Tights texture to match the gloves and boots? The second one uses the Death mask detail 1 option for a more sinister look.
