I am still a little confused about how this works - does it raise your crit chance for just the power it is put into - because the description doesn't make it sound like that..?

...so, it is or is not just for the attack it is slotted into? ...because that did not answer my question.

I appreciate that info though.

EDIT: I assume it is for all attacks, as you mentioned it was calced as a bonus, but the recent post regarding frequency for the bonuses makes it confusing - is the Scrapper crit bonus the only one that is always running and not designed on x per minute like the rest?

It boosts the crit rate of all your powers that normally can crit. Note that the purple (Superior) version is bugged and offers no bonus at all; this has been fixed already on Beta, and will go live with i22.

Yeah, I earned that one using 70 Astrals + 25 mil and during all of those itrials I never even heard of anyone getting a catalyst so that's no biggie.

Correct. The base chance for minions is 5% and the base for !minions is 10%. Add the bonuses.





The original bonus was +20% of base for standard (meaning 5%*1.2=6%, 10%*1.2=12%) and +40% of base for purple (5%*1.4=7%, 10%*1.4=14%), but people were constantly posting that they thought scrappers would end up with 25% chance to crit and 45% chance to crit, crazy people. Math is sometimes hard. lol

I can kind of see the confusion, since crit rate is a % chance and all. Of course at that point common sense should kick in, but lord knows 'common sense' is a misnomer if there ever was one.

It's definitely for all attacks. I think the Kheldian one is also "always-on", though what it does depends on what form you're in.

Yes, for both Scrapper and Kheld. The Brute one was before it was revised, but it's current incarnation is just a "normal" proc.

Honestly the brute one sounds really lame to me - when you run into a mob you hit your upper limits on fury almost immediately as it is.

Wait..the superior proc is currently bugged? On Live? Excellent! Guess it serves me right for assuming that they could manage to get some new, shiny, well advertised and EXPENSIVE (also rare) enhancements to actually WORK. Silly me.

On the contrary, it is incredibly hard to maintain above 80% fury with the fury changes from several months ago (a year ago now?)....unless you're in an ambush farm, which doesn't count

With the proc, it's easy to maintain 90-100% fury if you're consistently using your fury-proc attack.

Yeah they just fixed a problem with it today:

Brute's Fury: +Recharge/+Chance for +Fury - Fixed a bug that granted +Fury per target hit instead of per activation of the power.

Just cause it will be fixed in less than a week, does not make the fact it WENT live, while broken, any less pathetic. And the sad part, it doesn't shock me. Heaven forbid they make sure things like special procs are working correctly, especially working full stop.

I don't think so - I am thinking not next week, but the week after is certainly when it will hit.

Really? My scrapper with the superior proc slotted is showing a crit bonus autopower on Live currently.
