Scrapper Unique Crit Bonus
Really? My scrapper with the superior proc slotted is showing a crit bonus autopower on Live currently.
|
ugh, what I read was that it would increase my crit rate by a 20% chance, as in one in 5 attack will crit? sign me up!
Now that I spent a bazillion inf getting the ATO, I discover it only increases it by 2% (20% of the base 10%). Thanks Aggelakis for ruining my day |
The scrapper proc is still a decent across-the-board damage increase, since crits scale with damage buffs.
- catalyst are character bound, so now you're going to get them on the "wrong" character where they will sit useless |
1. Regular ATOs are not bound and can be mailed around easily.
2. Superior ATOs are account bound.
So if you get a catalyst on the wrong character, it's just a matter of mailing the ATO to yourself twice to upgrade it. You do have to use an unslotter if you've already got it slotted, but it's not as bad as it being permanently stuck on the wrong character.

Thanks Aggelakis for ruining my day Seriously, I jumped on ATOs in the market buying the hype that they were great and wanting to get in while I could (barely) afford them, but now I keep running into all kinds of caveats that make me really down on them: - the set bonuses aren't great for the most part (mostly useful for +rchg) - the procs aren't that great except maybe for the Brute one (I thought the scrapper one was awesome until I read this thread) - they are weaker than corresponding IOs - the tanker proc is bugged because it thinks every attack is an AoE - catalyst are character bound, so now you're going to get them on the "wrong" character where they will sit useless I seem to not find room in builds to use ATOs without weakening them in some ways that is dubiously made up by the ATO's benefit. |

If my Tanker has the Catalyst and I want to upgrade a scrapper ATO, my tanker can't equip and catalyze it (I haven't done it yet but my understanding is that you need to equip an ATO to catalyze it).

Wasn't there some other way to get into that screen and combine enhancements that aren't slotted in a power? Or maybe I'm just thinking about combining two enhancements that are both slotted.
hmm, they didn't seem to provide the same level of enhancement as purples.
I wonder if it's because I was not on a level 50 when I bought them and the pop up help gave me the "attuned" numbers for my current level?
also the bonuses listed on the wiki are for the un-catalyzed ones and increase for catalayzed sets? for example does the Might of the tanker +7.5% rechg go up to 10% for the catalyzed version?
can't wait for Mid's to support them so I can let it do the math for me.
I believe the answer is yes to all of those, but I don't know about the tanker numbers. I don't know if anyone put all the numbers on every single enhancement with and without catalysts.

Gauntlet may show up as it's own power, but it's really just an AoE taunt affect added to every attack.
And the pop help will always give the value of an attuned enhancement (SBE or ATO) as it is at your current level.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
I understand how gauntlet works, but since the proc doesn't ignore it, it has a much lower chance to fire than any other AT at the moment.
