CoH is definitely one of thebest I have played. It really grows on you as you play.

I wish NCSoft would put in the investment dosh to make a CoH2.
Take what's good from CoH (invention system/incarnate systems in particular) and mix in some of the cool things DCUO brought around (SUPER SPEEEEEEED)
A little premature to be talking about the end no? I foresee Coh having a long stay. They already have tons of things planned and we have a very dedicated development and community management team.
But thats just me, I don't wanna talk about the end, I wanna talk about whats next up on Tuesday

I'll start the fundraising effort to hire one or more of the former devs to help us reverse engineer the client and write an open source server.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Indeed, the game is ever-expanding. Currently they're the 800 pound gorilla of the Superhero MMO market. Every other game in the genre is compared to CoH. A nearly 8 year old game. And in many categories CoH trounces even brand new stuff QUITE handily. And with other MMOs like Evercrack coming up on Year 14, it shows that if a game can maintan a reasonable level of profitability, it can go on more or less indefinitely. |

Man I really liked Tabula Rasa... wish it wouldn't have shut down.
if CoH ever shuts down I hope to be able to purchase the rights to my character(s)... now THAT would be great to me.
I wonder if we would be able to use our old characters in some way in CoH2...
I would have said that Lineage was also closing down, but it is only for the US servers.
I remember the closing event of Tabula Rasa...
GM's remote killing me (happened during normal play sometimes), teleporting me to their locations etc etc
Oh and lots and lots of lag and vodka drinking!
I still listen to the soundtrack every now and then and get all teary eyed (the music from the last zone event was *stunning*
