If this is any indication though of the future..."if they messed it up to the point were im losing alot of 1v1s and getting laughed at by other players about my build, then im just going to cancel my account", then it doesnt matter cuz he'll be quitting the game for greener pastures in i22.

I would like to comment on this board beacause, a few days before it was nerfed i was fighting in arena vs a kin melee scrapper and it seemed they were hiting me with 2-3 hits and i was out. I was playing a squishy controller. I felt they were way to overpowered and was frustrated unlike any other pvp battle b4. It seemed KM needed to be nerfed and all KM players needed to know how it felt to be dominated on. If you are upset about your nefage of km toons, dont be sad remeber its all trial and error. Exspecially for those who try and pvp and dont go for the obvious power selection choices everyone else chooses but still pvp and lose everytime. The devs need to fix powers but sometimes its players who need to fix there power selection and choose powers off what they think is fun, and not what pvp is built off of. If only We played just for fun instead of dominating others we would have more pve players in pvp and arena, but its those who choose to be powerful and know that the power choices the choose are overpowerd is why the devs nerf powers anyways. To those who choose powers off of whats best(overpowerd) keep in mind your in for a surprise sooner or later from the devs. If you choose what is best it will soon be weakest, in my mind that an analogy i will always stick by. No matter if i win or lose in pvp i still play powers i feel are kool, and intersting to my playstle no matter if its the weakest powers in game. Sometimes i think if all pvp veterans would give other powers selection and archtypes a chance ,more players would want to pvp and enjoy doing it; although, pvp veterans dont play for fun and want to "DESTROY ALL" just because they want to own servers and other BS. I just feel we need a change in this game and it has to happen soon or a lot of players are gonna quit playing the game. By change to im not just talking about developers im talking about players to and how there playstyles are. We as players are teh ones who shund new players and existing player away from games becasue of how we just want to dominate. So guys just keep in mind my word, im not saying you have to change your style, but rember it would be better for the game community of City of Heroes/City of Villians, if all players had a CHANCE!

Some have fun by picking the FOTM/OP toons and "dominating"...
It all comes down to the individual's definition of fun; being a veteran or new player has no bearing on that at all.

Wait, pvp actually really still exists?
I thought "brb arena event" was something people use as an excuse to get out of talking to people, sort of like "gotta go, sg calling"
Dang...I never knew.

when you log into the game and fire up the character creation screen, psi/ems aren't grayed out for you, nor are poison corrs, nor masterminds, nor mind/fire's.
if you want to play the "make everything work" game, DR curves are going to have to get so tight that whatever advantage you get from slotting a set that only mind/* takes but plant/* doesn't, becomes non-existent.
last time they did that, they caused a mass exodus. empirical data therefore states: wide nerfs = people leaving.
what you're asking for is ridiculous. it's something a naive pve-er who doesn't understand the game, or scores really high on the exploration part (and really low on the killer part) of a gamer aptitude test would ask for. see the thing is... people like you are far easier to keep entertained than the average pvper. there is a reason the devs are putting out german sheperds pets that you guys are actually buying and not revisiting TS/HD.
when it comes down to it, you don't want to PVP. you have no clue what you want. you think you do, but in the end, you're just looking for pve.

These are the sort of people who still complain about psy blasters being OP but will happily stand there while a blaster uses BU and Aim and unloads attack chains at them and they wonder why they die to them so easily...
The people who complain are the ones who cannot use their brain to come up with a way to succeed, that's why the people who these trash i13 changes were made for never even stuck around.
P.s. Fix Ice blast before nerfing anything please.

Yeh, I tried explaining this to some idiots in RV the other night and I have come to the conclusion that you cannot reason with these deluded people who actually believe the changes made in i13 were the right decision. They tried to deny that COH lost god knows how many subscriptions after i13 in such a short time.

Its been my opinion that the reason that the i13 changes were so 'horrible' is that the devs actually tried to listen to people (note: not saying pvpers) who claimed to know what would work best for pvp. They also took peoples claims that "yeah I would try PvP if only xxxx were in place".
What worries me most about these changes (stalagamites- yeah that needed to happen) (KM- I'm not too sure about, I will crunch some numbers soon) is that I fear they listened to the people screaming "omg nerf KM" rather than actually looking at the numbers and understanding that KM was only 1 attack, rather than an entire chain.
If its true that the devs asked a specific player "hey what changes needs to be made to make pvp viable" and that person asked their friends then reported back, wow that makes me really fearful of where PvP is going in this game.
PvP is has so many facets- zone, duels, team arena, and even fiteklub. I certainly am not an expert in all those different aspects of CoH PvP and I'm not sure any "one" person's opinion is credible to suggest changes.
During the last few weeks of PvP Bootcamp Z asked all of us (players new to pvp as well as a few pvp vets) what we thought needed were top issues. Honestly, while there were some good suggestions and some that just didn't make sense at all, the one thing that I kept thinking was:
You are asking the wrong people.
As a mostly team arena PvPer any suggestions I made would have totally been slanted towards that aspect of the game. If Z had asked someone like Merc maybe it would have been slanted towards fiteklub. If he had asked someone like Suckafish it may have been slanted towards duels. The point is, its nice to take a poll of what people want, but you have to sample the whole population not just one aspect of the PvP spectrum.
The aspect of PvP that I find most enjoyable- team pvp- is such a small population, and we do it so infrequently that potentially its needs/wants should be placed last.
The largest population of people pvping would probably be zone pvpers so changes that affect them (ie... km changes) could potentially lead to more trouble and rage than the few who scream "OMG NERF KM" when they probably would have been screaming "OMG NERF BS" or "OMG NERF CARP MELEE" if they had been hit by it.

Their reason was "Look on your player ID, see that number, I have that number as 2 billion on 30 characters"
So basically, pvp is more popular than before because it made you money. Pro logic!
In other news, the devs introduced Dark Control because I had T-bone steaks the other night.
I had someone on Freedom try to tell me that "More people play pvp now than before the pvp changes".

Well. I'm just going to say that CSpvp probably needed to get nerfed. Reminds me of pve energy transfer + a few 100 extra points of damage and no consequence for using it such as -hp. Can't say i can really relate to the people who think its a bad idea to nerf CS. Sure it was "the attack" that KM is all about. But really, you should have known it was coming. You could say that CS was the AS of scrappers.
Kill the enemy. Take their souls. Drink their blood.
