i22 PVP changes

It would appear that CS has had its base damage cut in half.

Mind controller Aoe Mezes are at 4 seconds now.

Also, the patch notes claim to have fixed the duration for fossilize in PVP but it appears it was referring to stalagmites as it is the only visible change. So stalagmites on the beta power details state base duration of 4 seconds in PVP now. Haven't tested it personally.

im not to happy about the concentrated strike dmg being cut in half, i heard from a friend that they were buffing all the other KM attacks though, but im not sure if its true, is it?

It appears that KM has had its damage reduced across the board by 10-20pts and then CS just got murdered. So long story short, RIP KM.

Another example of reasons that PvP is the most attractive and fun aspect of playing this game....NOT.

Any time they touch anything in PvP, they ruin it. And that's hard to do, considering everything is already broken beyond belief.

Just because one power in a set is OP doesn't mean the entire set should be made completely worthless.

Sounds like it's back to SS being the only viable melee set. Great job devs....way to introduce variety into PvP.

meh I gutted the IOs from my km/regen cause it was such a snooze to play now I just have a good reason to delete a 50.

most of scrappies are KM cause of one button. Where is "variety" ?

didn't they say KM was using tanker damage modifiers and had to be changed to scrapper levels now? wouldn't that increase damage for the rest of the set? This doesn't make sense.

it would.
factor in criticals + damage standardization, a scrapper should still do more damage over a period of time than a tank.

so my KM scrapper is going to suck when issue 22 comes out?! weakening all my toons attacks and cutting CS in half! i ******* put over 100$ into that build, i baught all the boosters for it and now its going to be weakened to a non playable amount of damage, if they want to ******* nerf KM then im ok with them balancing it by spreading the damage around by weakining CS but boosting the damage to the other powers but just weakening all of it is just unfair, my toons description is that he uses energy type damage, but in i22 the only 2 energy base melee powers will be nerfed in pvp beyond playable, im going to give the devs the benifet of a doubt to see how well my toon plays in pvp, if they messed it up to the point were im losing alot of 1v1s and getting laughed at by other players about my build, then im just going to cancel my account, ive had it with the devs. making these terrible choices to PVP and im not going to tolerate it anymore! ive followed them through this game for over 2 years and im not going to continue to be a sheep to their ******** descisions.

Welcome to the world of PvP where toons become non playable on the regular but sometimes come back to life issues later.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

Long story short though you all HAD to see this coming. KM was mad overpowered and now has been nerfed into irrelevancy and youz kinda deserve it. "Oh KM is working as intended!" yeah which would explain why it was doing auto crit damage.

The devs got this one right. Plain and simple.

I was never a fan of KMs basically 2 shotting squishies and 4-5 shotting other melee toons, but I also dont think "the devs got this one right"...they basically overdid it as usual.
Just like what happened to Forts back in the day.

Can admit when i'm wrong and yeah you're right about "over doing it". LOL, they bring guns to a knife fight essentially. Though I still feel no sympathy for any KM players. The set may get a buff next time around. Only reason they likely even let it go on like this was so that it they could sell more KM etc...#justbusiness

This is just one other reason why PvP in this game is in the sorry state it is today.

The set needed adjustment. The devs tend not to adjust when a set has been an over performer, they get all punitive with the nerf, almost like they are trying to pay people back for the time they used the over performing set.

Its silly but they do it all the time.

also, mad props to a certain person with dev connections who asked me what needed fixing while i was in RV (3 minutes after i finished a rage fit over dying to a KM baddo with teh downs), and the first thing that came to mind was "tell them to fix KM".

i can understand to the squishy ranged toons and the melee toons with terrible builds that KM is over powered, but the way they are nerfing it is to much, all of the attacks on KM are very weak except for CS, so by them not only weakening KM even more plus redering CS useless is going way to far, they could at least just keep the original damage it does and only cut CS in half, thats it.

Welcome to the forums.

Its a pretty common occurrence for people to rage about quitting the game over PvE/PvP changes and then others counter with, "Can I have your stuff???".
Most of us have our own stuff already though...so its just a cornball joke.

Also, once you have played this horrible PvP system for awhile (if you continue), you will get used to toon nerfage. Im sure many players here have a server or two full of toons that used to be good. Sometimes they make a comeback, sometimes they dont.

Moral of the story:
1)dont put all your eggs in one basket OR
2)find a real PvP oriented game.
