Keyes Trial failure woes.

Well folks, and by folks I mean developers. If you were trying to make the Keyes trial easier for folks I think ya failed.

Pre trial change I was 8 for 8 on the Keyes, didnt really mind it all that much.

Since the change, 0 for 4. That's right. Havent been on a successful Keyes trial yet since the change. I'm not saying my server hasnt had one, that I dont know. But I havent won one and now wont be participating in any Keyes runs in the future.

Seems AM still heals when you die from disintergration, wasnt that suppose to be removed?

The final fight with AM seems like a exercise in futility now. At one point (Not during his regeneration) I watched his health shoot up from around 55% to well over 70%.

One time when I died from disintergration I watched his health shoot up quite a bit, was too busy swearing to notice the percentage, but it was quite a bit.


So I'm done with Keyes. That pretty much limits me to BAF and Lambda again, great. Just great.

Sorry for your bad luck but yes AM does heal from/when people die when they have Disintegration on them....that's the point.

What they changed is it doesn't heal AM while AM is regenerating himself (in one of the 3 regen. stations).

the only time his heal should not apply is when under the time stop

in every other case it should heal him (although it seems to be healing him regardless if disintegration itself kills you or outside source kills you)

I've completed at least 4 Keyes since the latest patch and feel like the devs definitely made the right adjustments to the trial to make it less annoying. Thank you Devs! And dear OP, you must just be suffering a string of bad luck.

about the pre charging terminals, while you could do that before patch, you still needed to drag AM around to non-fully charged terminals

now you can just put 1 charge on 6 terminals then not have to bother with AM at all

Also the green bubble form Disintegrating don't show up... Otherwise I'd say it's much more easy.

It will take awhile for people to realize what changed with the Keyes changes. I led one last week, and like 3 people died from Disintegration so I told them to yell in chat so we could focus heals on them.....their response was "Disintegration doesn't cause him to regen anymore dying doesn't matter" . The changes did make the trial easier, but participants who got bad info on what the changes were are still causing it to fail by being lazy and letting AM kill them without effort to stay alive.

Haven't failed a Keyes since the change.
Daily runs for a few days in a row now.


Then again, only failed one before the change too... but didn't run them as often.

I've been on six Keyes Trials since Issue 21.5 went live. All of them succeeded. It's so much easier now.

I am noticing, however, that since Issue 21.5 went live, a lot of people are either

a. unaware they're disintegrating because of the removal of the green bubble

or

b. just don't care that they're disintegrating. Like the OP, I think a lot of people were / are under the mistaken impression that AM no longer heals from disintegration, even though that's not anywhere in the patch notes, and is not the case.

No matter how many times the trial leader reminds people to back away from the group when disintegrating and to call out for heals... they're just not doing it now for some reason. It makes that part a lot harder for the empaths and thermals on the trial.

I think the confusion may be the result of the following section of the patch notes:

On the Keyes Island Trial, players who are defeated by Disintegration during Anti-Matter's Molecular Stop power will no longer trigger Anti-Matter's heal from a Disintegration defeat.
I am assuming 'Molecular Stop' refers to the 'Time Freeze', in which case there is a window of time where he would not heal back. That's certainly not to say that he never heals back and people should just ignore Disintegration entirely.
