Did XP get easier to come by?
The new trial is a Dev sponsored farm in my opinion. I can level a toon to 20 there in very little time (couple hours?) The exp on this still gives a level every 2 runs in the 20s, every 3 runs in the 30s, and 2 bars in the 40s. So, yeah, in my opinion the Devs made it easy to 50.
I am still working on my "giant concept toon", a perennial favorite of mine, where I set a task for myself with a toon and do it. I am just about committed to soloing every arc Blueside. i have done it Redside 3-4 times, but never got past 20 Blueside. The multiple contacts for the same arc always got tiresome for me, could never be sure I was getting them all. I think someone updated the Wiki with a better guide for the arcs and who gives them, so i'm looking at trying again. Okay, that was a tangent lol.
Blue--I agree that the new trial for lowbies is great xp, but I was actually asking if perhaps you need less xp to lvl or maybe get more xp these days. Something feels particularly easy now. I used to have a bunch of toons stuck in their teens (yes, I alt a lot), but now I don't even seem to see the teens--even when I don't use the trial.

I guess it all depends on how you define recently..... Not the last issue or 3, I can say that. There are more total +XP mini-powers and things of that sort, and depending on your vet status you may have gained some more of those when the shift from old Vet Rewards to Paragon Rewards happened, even if you didn't purchase any of the +XPish powers from the P Market.
Some of those powers can have a fairly profound effect.
Feels the same to me. I've made a bunch of low level characters since I21 allowed me to make heroic brutes, dominators and stalkers.
My favorite AE mission gets me from 1 to 5. Wincott and Flux and a Safeguard get me to 10-11 at about the same rate as usual.
Well, for some of us who are returning after a long absence, leveling is definitely faster. Super Sidekicking has had a profound impact for one thing. Back in the day it used to be quite a bit harder to get on teams of 50s while a toon was in its lower levels; if you were a L44 or L45 "bridge" you were in high demand, but if you were a L12 lowbie desperately trying to get your travel power you were probably out of luck. Nowadays teams of 50s are routinely inviting people of any level to join tips and AE missions because they just want to max out the spawn sizes and you don't have to manage sidekick/exemplar pairings anymore. Leveling up on these teams is almost as effortless as the DFB trial.
NOR-RAD - 50 Rad/Rad/Elec Defender - Nikki Stryker - 50 DM/SR/Weap Scrapper - Iron Marauder - 50 Eng/Eng/Pow Blaster
Lion of Might - 50 SS/Inv/Eng Tanker - Darling Nikkee - 50 (+3) StJ/WP/Eng Brute - Ice Giant Kurg - 36 Ice/Storm Controller
Really, those people are probably inviting lowbies to have someone to talk to. You don't need people to pad in order to max spawn size anymore.

Of course, sometimes I'd rather solo, and if so, I solo.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
Have you ever tried to get to the "Speak to Karsis" quest in the hollows?
if you are over level 15 you can't get it without doing the Ouro missions.
It takes an epic amount of effort your part.
you pretty much have to invite someone who can inviso/stealth the Atta mish and do the kill-all with small teams.
You might just be getting better, too. I've found that cutting through spawns and missions faster, and/or playing up even one difficulty (in either level or spawn size) both make a huge difference in xp per mission. Also, it may seem obvious, but a scrapper or brute is going to level faster than a defender or tank (or -- for me -- a blaster, because I keep freakin' dying). Powersets, too... ones that get AoE's early in their career are going to hack through more bad guys than those that don't.

Did they make it easier to lvl and I missed it? I do mean RECENTLY, too. (I know they leveled it out a while back). I have created 3 new toons recently and am shocked to get to my 20s with NO PROBLEM or time really.
